Wonderful!!

I own a Donald Perry Building built in 1986 in Graham - almost 40 years ago. Donald Perry Construction is now a division of TOP Construction in Burlington. It's a fantastic building - very well built and problem-free, still almost as good as new. I had a few questions about preventative maintenance and wanted to get an idea what the rough replacement cost would be since I was updating my insurance policy. So I called TOP Construction where I was able to speak with the owner, Doug Uhler. He was very friendly and helpful. He took the time to answer my questions even though I wasn't looking to build a new building and my building was built long before he became the owner of the company. Anyway, I thought I'd give him and his company a shout out here. If I were in the market for a new commercial building, I wouldn't hesitate to hire TOP Construction to build it.

Roof replaced in one day. Excellent job

Construction Doctors are the best deck builders! I hired them to build a composite deck in Raleigh, and the quality and craftsmanship were top notch. Professional, reliable, and great communication from start to finish. Highly recommend for anyone looking to hire a quality company.

Company Changed ownership in December of 2025 any reviews for Jobs completed prior to this year are for a different contractor. Some of the subcontractors, Cabinets, Electrician, Plumber, 2nd tile person are good and did nice work. Painter/ drywall/ popcorn removal crew were very bad and not a professional crew. I give Current Contractor Paula Carr and the site supervisor we had John C 1 star for how they handled 1st tile job and are currently handling issues with unprofessional painting crew they picked and kept using at our protest. Maybe review will change if they start handling situation differently and get the project completed in an orderly fashion.

1st tile job they hired some unknown guy who did a terrible job. Scored a tile in the middle. John had the tile remove and took it, then they tried to argue with me and say it was 2 tiles, so they would not have to cover cost of tile and new tile person. If anyone wants I have pictures.

New tile person did a good job, but I should not have had to deal with how previous tile job was handled. Currently dealing with same situation in their handling of paint/ drywall job, which a professional painter says is a total redo. Much damage to my walls/ Ceilings and personal belongings by crew that they used.

John, the owner of this fine establishment, was wonderful during the rollercoaster we like to call, Hunters Run Renovation Period. There were a lot of problems on TradeMark Residential's side of the operation. But no matter how frustrating the situation was, John kept his cool, and made sure to let the office staff (me and my property manager) know what was going on. In the end he ran the operation by himself and nailed it. And when he worked on site to catch up on his work, he was more than happy letting us interrupt his focus to answer all questions we had. I would recommend Construction Doctors to anyone around because you ARE going to get no other reliable, trustworthy, straight answered, or committed company than this one.

We had a great experience! John makes sure that you are satisfied with the results and that the work is done right! We had shelving put in an existing closet and also had a closet built to better utilize empty space in our bathroom. Thanks for turning a dysfunctional space into a lovely linen closet John!

Construction Doctors really care about their customers! We used them for a major remodel of an old farmhouse, and they stayed on budget even with some changes to the plan. With the cost-plus model, all charges were very transparent. Budget was a constraint for us, and John went above and beyond to help us make the right decisions so we didn't break the bank.

Complete reno of crawlspace with first floor redesign. Opened up the kitchen & dining rooms, moved a bathroom, added a 1/2 bathroom, all new plumbing & electrical, new kitchen...and a few more things. Would definitely recommend and plan to use them again for the 2nd floor reno next year.

We are thrilled with John and the work from his team! The 1985 home we purchased needed some work before we moved in. John was amazing to work with and he navigated the permitting issues around relocating our laundry area with alacrity. In addition, the specificity about the work performed sent with each invoice was greatly appreciated. I can’t say enough about the attention to detail and care that John and his team put into their work. They were careful with the hardwood floors and unique wallpaper in the foyer as they did work around the house. Very high quality work and we are looking forward to having John and his team at Construction Doctors do bigger projects for us in the future.
