Fantastic repair work done by Smith Services. The crew came in and painted 1600 sqft of ceiling and put new drywall and insulation up in a half bathroom! Julian, arkadiusz, Manuel and Jeff were on time every day and taught me a lot about what really goes into repairs! David is the go to for any questions you have along the way . Can’t wait to use them for my next home project!

I was completely new to hiring contractors for any purpose whatsoever. I was referred to Smith Construction Services through a friend and I was not disappointed. Seeing my house transform from an old dated townhouse to basically a new home was exhilarating and cathartic. David and his team were extremely professional and courteous. He made sure his workers did everything right. I had new floors new paint and a new bathroom setup by David and his team. On top of all of this his estimate was extremely reasonable and he stayed completely within the budget even after additional unseen road blocks in my home slowed them down. I'll be using David and his team from now on for any home improvement project. You will not be disappointed.

Smith construction was every thing they promised. David was extremely professional and friendly. He gave us an estimate and stuck to the estimate. There were no extras or surprises. He was extremely punctual and work throughout the entire day. He also evaluated our situation and went above and beyond to make everything correct in our laundry room. David and his team has come through again. After dealing with a bee hive, we were left with a hole in our ceiling. David’s crew were on time even though it was pouring rain. They worked through the morning repairing the ceiling and repainted the entire ceiling. Their work was excellent. If you need any construction done, definitely call Smith Construction Services.

We recently had the pleasure of working with Bryan and Manny from Smith Construction on a structural project at our home at 17400 Sale View Dr. in Cornelius, NC, and we couldn’t be more pleased with the results.

From start to finish, they were super friendly, professional, and reliable. They tackled a moisture issue on the side of the house facing Lake Norman, removing and replacing damaged areas with precision and care. Their craftsmanship was excellent, and their attention to detail was evident in every part of the job.

In addition to the structural work, they installed a pull-out garbage can under the kitchen sink, repaired and replaced siding on the exterior, handled drywall work inside, painted, and thoroughly cleaned up after the project was complete.

Bryan and Manny were always punctual and kept us informed on the job status and timing every step of the way. It’s rare to find a team that delivers both great work and great communication—Smith Construction does both. Highly recommend them for any construction or renovation project!

Simon, Arkadiusz, Manuel, and Greg were phenomenal! From the very beginning, they were communicative and respectful while deconstructing and reconstructing my basement floor. It was a messy process, however the crew ensured my space was cleaned up everyday prior to leaving. I especially appreciate how friendly Simon was when we were trying to decide on the type of flooring. He helped to see my vision and reassure me he could handle it. And he did! I love our new floor and transition piece. Thank you for taking a huge job and making it seem simple. We will definitely use David Smith Construction again for our projects.

Edit: They did it again!! Greg and Julian came back out to crate a cover for the internal Simon pump that was installed during the previous project. Before construction started, Greg and I had a brainstorming session on what would work in the space. He listened to my thoughts and with Julian they created a beautiful, functional cover.

Smith Services was recommended by a Structural Engineer to cut 2’x12’ portion of drywall out of the ceiling so the engineer could make a determination for repairs. The work to be done by Smith Services was time sensitive on my part. It took them approximately 2 hours to prepare and complete the work and charged $1850.00. When Mr. Smith was questioned about his charge, he stated that it was based on industry standards.He stated that when he estimated the work, he did not know how long the work would require but his charges were justified. He did know that his total time was equivalent to two hours, but certainly didn’t adjust his charges compared to his estimate.

He was aware of my time constraints and therefore; took advantage of. I am surprised that someone that has very good reviews in the past, would tarnish his reputation over one job. I would not recommend him to anyone!

Simon and Greg did an amazing job on my door. They were very respectful and finished up very fast! David and Tabatha also made it easy for me to get on their schedule and offered me a free estimate. All together 5 stars. Will be referring them to everyone!
