I emailed for a quote for tree pruning and received an unprofessional and sarcastic response. I wouldn't recommend.

Been using Carl for years now. Today his guys pruned some trees along the street and made them look completely natural and unpruned which is the point. They never leave a mess and it looks like nobody was there and that nature made them look this way which, again, is the point. Don't hesitate.

We've used Carl for years. He'll always do right by you. You don't want just anyone who happens to be cheap chopping down trees or doing major pruning. One bad move, slip or stupidity can result in smashed roofs, cars, decks and people. You find someone reliable and trustworthy in this business, you stick with him forever.

Carl Halas is a true professional and expert at his craft. Very knowledgeable arborist and he is a tree 'saver' which is very much appreciative, as am I. Did an excellent job pruning 5 large oak trees on my property. I was impressed with the precision of the cuts, attention to detail and the overall process and clean-up work. He is proactive in his recommendations to save trees, as he put in a cable in a tree shaped like a "Y" to prevent it splitting in a storm. He shaped the trees very well and I enjoy his artistic eye to the canopy. Priced very fair for the amount of work involved. I was very impressed. And the best part, he installed a rope and hung a swing (with a very fancy slip knot to raise and lower it) for the kids. Excellent work, highly recommend.

If you want expert arborist work in the Charlotte area look no further. Carl and his team of professionals have been here caring for the tree canopy for longer than most. I've had the pleasure of doing business with Carl on jobs large and small over the years and couldn't recommend him highly enough.

Carl Halas has done work for us on three occasions. His company always does a great job at a reasonable rate and he is always a pleasure to work with. If you need tree work done in south Charlotte, he is your man. We're always satisfied and his crew does a timely, efficient job with a cleanup that leaves no trace of branches, wood chips, etc.

I am so very impressed with Carl and his knowledge, expertise, sensitivity to the environment, caring attitude, artistic eye, and ultimately his work!! He has a great team working for him, as well. They did all with precision and care and their clean-up was impeccable! Carl's price was fair, and I was actually happy to pay him as his work was totally worth it. He even made a little tree bench for me from the tree he took down! He and his team were a pleasure to work with, as well. Over the years I have used several tree removal companies to remove trees on our property. Most times were stressful and lots of torn up property and cleanup.

Then I contracted with Carl Halas Tree Arborist. I always heard of the term “tree surgeon” but never knew what it really meant. Now I know. Carl and his very competent crew removed 8 trees for me with great precision. Two were over 50’ tall and were close to the house and hard to access. Every branch was removed, lowered carefully and safely, not just cut and dropped. All trees were shredded or hauled away. Stumps were ground out and entire yard was cleaned up like he had never been here.

As an “arborist” Carl was very helpful with his knowledge of trees. Price was fair and well worth it. His resume is very impressive.
The crew was very respectful, cleaned up every day (4 1/2 days) and removed equipment every day. A pleasure to watch.

It’s a sure thing, the next time I need tree work, I will call Carl Halas, Arborist.
