Mike and his team did a great job redoing our bathroom. They were great communicators and did a terrific job for a fair price. I would highly recommend them!

Darren and Mike at Solid State are amazing! We had another “contractor” start on our master bathroom remodel, but he ended up taking our deposit and disappearing (not before incorrectly laying a shower pan and subfloor). Darren came out as soon as we called for a quote, and once we signed the contract, they arrived on the exact date stated, and were on time every day. Mike was our project manager and came by often to check on the various workers, and we could not have asked for a more personable and kind PM. Our son was born 4 months early, and subsequently spent 4 months in the NICU, and is therefore immunocompromised. Mike wore a mask each time he visited and made sure each person that came in our house did the same. Additionally, he helped us when we could not decide what would look “best”, and was extremely patient. He always kept us in the loop in regards to who was showing up when, and personally went behind each job to inspect it and clean up. We had several quotes (over 5), and we could not be happier with who we picked. We will soon need our kitchen and guest bath tiled, and will definitely be using Solid State again!

Darren and the Solid State Crew have done excellent work for us several times in the past. True professionals in every facet of the process! Not enough "stars" to give them on the rating.

Darren and his crew went above and beyond on our bathroom remodel. After basically being scammed by another company, they came in and took care of everything we needed and exceeding our expectations. Also, Mike, the project lead was fantastic. He kept us up to date and informed on ever little thing and made sure the project stayed on track. I can’t praise them enough on how great of a job they did and their professionalism.

Did a great job, and easy to work with. Good communication, too. For the same price as those bathroom-in-a-day outfits with their cheap vinyl installs, instead we have a quality bathroom with real tile that will last for decades! Just beautiful! Thanks, Solid State.

I have been using SST on my new construction and remodels for several years now. They always do an excellent job. Lucky and his crew are easy to work with and go above and beyond for the customer.

Darrin and his crew did a beautiful job renovating my bathroom and shower. The tile work is impeccable…in addition, everyone showed up on time and the job was finished on time! Everyone that came to my home was incredibly respectful and professional. I will definitely use this company again.

I cannot say enough wonderful praise for Solid State Tile. Our shower floor needed to be replaced and we were immediately impressed with the owner Darren showing up on time when promised. His quote was fair and the work was professional and impressive. Most of all, there was a misunderstanding with the ordering of tile, and Solid State corrected the manufacturer error and stuck with the promised quote. The installers were always prompt, cleaned up after their work and finished within the quotes time. I highly recommend! And will definitely use again! Very professional!

You guys were great, employees were great, and the finished job was great. The only company I've used since I've been in North Carolina that hasn't had any BS with it. You did your job and you did it right. The only problem I had with the entire job that after time before hardened a little bit of the grout sunk in at the bottom of the shower so that tends to be a little harder to clean. But other than that. It was a perfect job you guys should be proud of the product you offer. The bathroom would be a selling point of this house if I was selling it.

Phenomenal experience with Solid State Tile! Darren and Mike were amazing to work with! Very clean installation - literally couldn’t tell they had been here (other than the beautiful new tile, of course). We have worked with a lot of contractors over the years and HIGHLY recommend Solid State for all of your tile needs. We will definitely use them again if the need arises.

Darren and his crew were wonderful to work with. I had done a drawing of how I envisioned the remodel of our tiny bathroom and they made it happen! We needed to replace a tub/shower and create a shower with a very low entry threshold. One of the things I really liked about working with them was that they encouraged us to keep existing things such as a custom made solid wood vanity base rather than just tearing everything out and replacing it.
Their work and materials were high quality and cost the same or less than the folks who promise a new bathroom in one day! Definitely recommend them!

We are incredibly pleased with Solid State Tile. Everyone we encountered was professional, efficient and kind (Thank you Lucky, Jamie, Adam & Gerardo). Most importantly, Gerardo, our installer, did a top-notch job with the difficult install of our arabesque-shaped marble kitchen backsplash. We will be back!

We were extremely pleased with every phase of our total kitchen remodel. The purchase and selection process with Darren was smooth, and the actual construction was as painless as possible. Mike was great to work with, and his crews made sure that our house was livable at the end of every day. They swept and picked up every night. And even with major plumbing work, they made sure we had water every night. We are more pleased with the final project than we ever imagined we could be!

Darren from Solid State Tile came to my house to give an estimate on my tiled shower repair.
We are beyond appreciative for his honesty and professionalism. He could easily have told us that we needed costly repairs that only his company could provide. He gave us options for repair that either we could do or his business could do as well.
We would recommend Solid State Tile for anyone in need of tile work/repair who wants to be given an honest recommendation; and who wouldn't?! Restores faith in humanity.

I’m extremely pleased with the work that Solid State Tile did on our project. The scope of the job included a complete renovation of 2 baths, a laundry room floor and a kitchen. They were professional, flexible with scheduling, responsive to input and requests and did beautiful work. I look forward to working with Darren and his team again on an upcoming project.

Project delivered on tgime with no surprises. Most of the work was done by subcontractors (electrical, plumbing and tile installation of the tile I had selected and paid for to the tile seller, Amanzi). I was a little disappointed that Solid State could not source the bnrackets needed to support the overhang of the tille so I sourced it and bought it myself. Solid State did do a good job instlling the brqckets.

My worst decision of 2023. Save yourself and go with another company! I don’t ever write Google reviews, but it was such a bad experience, it’s more than worth the time. It’s been over 8 months since my deposit was received and there are still defects in the work they are refusing to correct. I’m now hiring another company to finish the job. I chose Solid State Tile because of their excellent reviews and am just noticing most are 4+ years old. Run!

I wanted an estimate for countertops n backsplash installation. Called for an appointment for Thursday n whoever Darren is calling me Tuesday morning talking about he on his way . And trying to give me an estimate over the phone before coming out to look at?? Very unprofessional n glad I’m not doing business with them !!
