The electric meter base at my home failed, causing a full power outage.
Craftsman Electric came for an emergency assessment, and they quoted $5,600 for the repair. That number seemed unusually high, so I sought additional quotes from other licensed electricians. Every single one came in under $800.In the end, I had the issue resolved same-day by another highly reputable electrical contractor for $280 total, which even included a $100 emergency service fee. Duke Energy inspected the repair and confirmed everything was fixed properly.
For Craftsman Electric to quote more than 20 times the fair market rate, especially during a 90-degree heat wave when customers are desperate for poweer, is, in my opinion, predatory and unethical. I’m seriously considering filing a formal complaint with the BBB.

Kris and Patrick showed up first thing in the morning and spent a little over 2 hours diagnosing and correcting some electrical issues in our 90 year old house. Both were knowledgeable and pleasant to work with and will provide an estimate for some additional work to be completed. We’re very pleased with the service
