I called A1 Chimney last week and they were faster and more professional than I expected. The tech arrived on time, explained everything, and left my place spotless. Totally worth it.

Friends, do not use this company! I wasted 4 grand on unprofessional and shoddy work at best. The grout repair was not thorough. My roof was covered with grout where it wasn’t wiped up. The inside grout looks messy and is not complete. And to add insult to injury, the person who did the work put a chimney cap that was way too big on top. Definitely not worth 4 grand, and I wish I could get my money back. The guy even said I had no crack in the flue when I indeed did. Definitely wasn’t a thorough level 2 inspection. And to finish off, when I texted the person who did the work about his work, my message read “not deliverable!” That doesn’t spark a lot of confidence.

They addressed a persistent draft problem with a simple seal and a new cap suggestion. The inspector explained pros and cons of the options and left a short note with recommended timing for a full repair. Felt like solid professional advice

A1 Chimney after noticing a weird smell when I lit the fireplace. Tim got here right on time, introduced himself, and immediately started checking everything. He showed me photos of soot buildup I hadn’t seen before, explained how it happens, and cleaned it out carefully. He even went over safety tips for winter use. Honestly, I felt like he treated my home as if it were his own.

My family used the fireplace a lot last winter and we started seeing smoke in the hallway. Mike inspected with a camera, found a misaligned flue section, and realigned it carefully. He replaced a worn seal and tested the fire multiple times to make sure it was right. He even left a short note with easy checks I can do before lighting now I don’t worry when we have friends over

These people tried to charge me $1,200 for work that i didn't need. I wanted an estimate for my chimney to be cleaned but they said i also needed to get cracks in my stone filled. They wanted me to decide at the exact moment they said i needed it instead of allowing me to get other quotes. Once i told them i needed more time, they offered to compete the cleaning and crack filling for $1000.00 and would throw in a free painting of the fireplace.

Needless to say, i had multiple other companies come out to quote the cleaning and not one of them brought up the cracks or said i needed extra work.

What would've cost me $1200 with these people actually cost $250 for the cleaning that i actually needed.

I had a cleaning, inspection, and repair done on my chimney and couldn’t be happier with the service. We noticed uneven burning and I was worried about buildup. A1 Chimney did a deep cleaning, inspected the cap, and adjusted the damper alignment. The technician (Mike) took before and after photos and even recommended a simple maintenance routine. Helpful and professional.

Would never recommend they went to inspect fireplace and did not use any drop clothes for protection to keep dirt from going on floor or fireplace. Just paid to have paint and new floors put down. Tech was thrown out after paying the inspection fee but would never recommend this company unless you want to clean up a mess. Tech was not professional at all and called another company to come out to complete this service.

I was nervous about the chimney because our house is older. Avi came, inspected everything carefully, showed me the issue on his tablet, and sealed the top properly. He walked me through a simple maintenance plan and stayed until I tested the fireplace twice. Felt like real care, not a rushed job.

BEWARE- total scam of a company!!!!!!! Came out first week of November, diagnosed problem and said new part would be replaced by Thanksgiving. at that point I gave the deposit, 1/2 total cost which was over $1k. Didn’t hear back until end of November- was scheduled for 12/4. No one showed, upon calling- I was told part wasn’t in and would be in next week: I didn’t hear again until 12/18 when they said they would be out at 2p on 12/23. When 2p on 12/23 came around and no one showed, I called again and the rep said they had it moved to between 2-5 so just wait and someone would be there shortly. Then, 5p hits and again no one Cals or shows. I call and ask to speak to a supervisor and the man, Justin, said nope I could not. He said they may be running late and might call and might show up. I let him know that wouldn’t work as I would be home that evening but truly just wanted to talk to a supervisor/ be again refused to put me in touch or leave a message to be called back. I’m out $1k+ and refusal to speak to anyone above the rep Justin that doesn’t have any information. It’s turned into a total scam, promise dates, take my money, and refuse to show up or allow any communication. DO NOT USE this company!!! BEWARE!!!!!!!

Chris and Maria from A1 Chimney showed up early and were super friendly. They inspected my old chimney, took pictures, and found cracks I hadn’t noticed. They explained what could happen if I left them like that and offered two repair options without pushing for the most expensive one. I liked how transparent they were. After the job, they swept the area clean no mess left behind. It’s rare to find that kind of honesty nowadays thanks to.

Moses was very professional and friendly. He explained his work and kept me in the loop. I appreciate his kindness but after finding we needed a new unit, their prices were a bit higher than we could afford.
