With the vagaries of the weather and selling a house, these folks were so flexible and willing to work with me to schedule an evaluation of my 37 year old AC and furnace. I appreciate their patience and their professionalism, and good humor.

I had an unknown issue with my Goodman GSX160361FD Air Conditioner. Couldn’t figure out why it wouldn’t run. With the hot weather on the horizon, I knew just who to call.

Multnomah Heating Inc. has done plenty of work for me in the past. I called their office.

Warm, communicative, and nimble with the calendar, Janelle was glad to set me up with a service technician within a short and feasible timeframe. I hardly had to adjust my own work schedule!

I have never had another service company communicate with the standards that MH&C follow. The week of, three days, two days, and the day before, I received reminder texts for my service call. Each message also held resources for contact and rescheduling.

The morning of my service call, I received a reminder text for the appointment in the early afternoon. Shortly after, I received a text from Joe, my assigned technician.

Several hours before my appointment, Joe reached out to ask politely if he could come early, as he was ahead of schedule. I was delighted, and agreed.

Upon his timely arrival, Joe greeted me and walked me through his diagnostic strategy. He answered my questions, educating me on anticipated root causes as he worked. I gave him some space to work his magic and let him know how to reach me.

Joe worked quickly and quietly, such that I was pleasantly surprised when he returned with progress updates and potential solutions. Normally, my dog isn’t fond of technicians and the ruckus they make. Joe passed vibe check AND sound check.

The required repairs were immediately conducted, as Joe had everything he needed with him in his truck. No waiting for parts or stalls in progress - this guy is a machine.

Within two hours from his arrival (which was ahead of schedule), Joe saved my air conditioner, replaced my condenser pump along with several fuses, and left the space spotless. Joe restored my central fan controls to smooth operation, too.

Joe was even kind to my dog!

Joe even made sure to lock down external property access upon his departure. I didn’t ask him to leave it as he’d found it before the work began - that’s how he works.

Multnomah Heating Inc. are my go-to. Joe and Janelle saved the day, like their crew always does.

Multnomah Heating was great!! Our service technician, Joe, was early & communication was excellent. Quickly tested that our components were working, & determined our control board was indeed faulty. Was able to promptly replace it, as well as fixing the improperly hooked wiring.

(Previous company I won't name, couldn't determine cause of failure, even replaced unnecessary parts, waited another few days without any communication, only to find out they fired him!).

Went almost a month without heat. Wish our home warranty service would've assigned these guys first! They were competent, definitely would recommend them, & won't hesitate to call them for any future service needs.

We had an easy fix, so our experience was short.
I got a text about 40 minutes before arrival. The technician was good guy. Knew exactly what the problem was, had the part in his van. It was just an igniter.
He also changed out our filters. They were dirty. He recommended we change them sooner because of our pets.
Waited until our system was running properly and packed up and left. Easy.
Technician was professional. Communication with home base before service was prompt and professional.
We had the pleasure of using Multnomah because of our home service warranty. So hopefully we can have them provide service again, but would recommend if you can make the choice.

I called first thing in the morning for a concerning furnace issue. The dispatcher was really nice and was able to squeeze us in first thing. There were plenty of automatic updates about the technician regarding the ETA, and a picture as well. Jeremy was personable and professional. He quickly identified and fixed the issue- providing information that put me at ease. I also promptly received a copy of the invoice electronically. It’s usually hit or miss with home warranty vendors, but I would request MHI again.

Joe and Janelle are terrific to work with. Professional and good people! We’ve had a few AC needs over the years and they are so responsive and helpful.
Today was no exception!!
Joe fixed the issue straight away.

I don’t know much about heating systems. First time I’ve called for assistance. The technician seemed knowledgeable; checked the pressure on the heat pump unit outside and assessed it full and the fan was working. He noted the wall unit in the kitchen was working. He then recommended calling again come summer if the air conditioner doesn’t cool enough because of the temperature outside.

My heater broke in a weekend. They got in contact first thing Monday morning, had a technician out on Tuesday, got the home warranty approval and parts and it was fixed on Friday ! With the cold snap I was really hoping that it would be fast and it was. They were great about communicating and were early to each appointment. The technician was pleasant and knowledgeable.

And my heater had a clicking noise on start up (before it broke down) and I had two other companies out who said that was normal - it was not. So yes I will continue to use this company.

Super easy experience. We were paired with Multnomah Heating through our home warranty company. We are new to Portland and they suggested we get our furnace checked out prior to the cold weather. We put the request in through the warranty company and Multnomah contacted me right away. Scheduled everything through text, received a reminder, and the technician was right on time. Super friendly service. I’m certainly going to use them again if we need service.

They did a great job for us. Our furnace would blow air but wasn’t heating up at all. I gave them the error code from the furnace ahead of time so they had a sense of what the issue was. He came with the part he suspected was needed and that did the trick. They had the furnace repaired very quickly! I would definitely use them again!

Multnomah Heating was responsive, courteous, and thorough. Joe was professional and set my mind at ease over a light that had been blinking on my furnace. I have found my new HVAC company.

Friendly, Expedient and Professional Service. Janelle is an awesome communicator. Everyone we worked with was knowledgeable and helpful. We will definitely work with Multnomah Heating and Cooling again.

The technician was so pleasant. He did the job well and even went above and beyond my expectations by removing a component I’d added previously that I no longer wanted. He was just so helpful and nice. I will be calling them for future repairs and services, and I would recommend this technician to others as well.

Wow! Incredible service from dispatch-Janelle, whom might be the best quarterback in the HVAC business, to Joe and Jeremy. Janelle managed our home warranty company and was very communicative and knowledgeable of the process along with outcomes. Jeremy did the install of the new unit was personable and professional under the pressure of the clock due to my schedule. Couldn't be happier.

Didn’t really fix anything. Just came up look and that’s it. I was like so what is wrong with it. All he said was I don’t know I couldn’t find anything. Then why the hell my furnace is full of water and leaking all over my ceiling.

Received texts confirming the appointment and updates of when the technician would arrive. Loved the proactive communication. The technician arrived within the 2-hour time frame and loved that a smaller arrival time frame was given rather than the usual 4-8 hours most companies give. The technician was polite, efficient, knowledgeable, and friendly. Would recommend!

Joe was great. He kept me updated on his arrival time. He was friendly and he figured out what was wrong with the furnace right away. Thank you for your knowledge and experience . We will definitely refer you to our family and friends.

The technician was super professional. He even offered to install my smart node for free. I was very happy with the service. So long as the furnace doesn’t break, the five stars stands.
