If only I had known about Stan The Water Heater Man along time ago!!!

I cannot be more impressed with the service that they provided.

I bought my last two water heaters from George Morlan and called them yesterday for advice after explaining the situation and my error code and they recommended a new water heater and gave me a price that gave me a little sticker shock.

Then I called Jacobs Heating and Air and they said they are booked a few weeks out for installation and they recommended Stan The Water Heater Man.

I had a callback within minutes after calling them with a tech (Ian) that listened to my issues and without hesitation, informed me that he thought I could fix it and extend the life on my water heater for many more years.

Ian and Matt came out today and explained what the issue was and replaced the necessary parts. They were very good showing me the parts that failed as well as showing me the new parts.

My water heater is functioning like new for about $200!!! Which is significantly less than what they originally quoted me over the phone without inspecting the water heater. How often does that happen?!?

I am totally impressed and one happy customer!

I would highly recommend Stan the Hot Water Man.
Kenny and his partner replaced my old electric water heater.
The also replaced a leaking intake faucet and put in new overflow pipes and added earthquake straps.
They really know what they are doing and are very friendly.
Their price was very reasonable.

I have worked with a lot of contractors over the years in my job, I used Stan the hot water man the other day for my personal home, this company is responsive, on time and so nice to work with! I can't say enough how easy and stress free they were to deal with.
I called at 6pm and by 10am I had a brand new water heater installed!

Another company had quoted me $852 to repair my water heater and would have had to order the part which would have caused a further delay. Stan the Water Heater Man completed the repair for $149.50 and had the necessary part available. The technician also took the time to educate me on the care of my water heater and how to adjust the water temperature. Would definitely recommend this company!

I had a dead gas water heater. I called STHWM based on the good Google reviews, and a technician (Jesse) was here by 10am! Jesse did a great job with installing a new unit and explaining how to ignite the pilot light. Cost was very reasonable, especially for immediate service!

Darin has serviced our tankless water heater a few times over the past several years. This most recent occasion he replaced a broken flow sensor for WAY less than a different plumber had quoted. Plus he had the correct part with him already.

Far too expensive!!!!! The technician was here for 15 mins, rinsed the tiny filter on our tankless water heater, left, and charged us $185.00. Too much for this "fix"!!

Great to work with them. I had issues with my water heater and initially worked with other company that charged a lot and did not deliver; my experience with Dan from Stan the water heater man was excellent - knowledgeable, courteous, friendly and honest. Did not charged for just showing up - he did the work, and I can tell he know what he is doing. Finally, after 2 months of cold showers, I got hot water again.

Let me start by saying how kind and friendly they are & how quick and efficient! Our friend referred them and I would refer them again a thousand times over. Micah repaired our water heater and restored my faith in good, honest tradesmen! He did a wonderful job and left the work areas spotless. The cost for all of his work which included parts for the water heater and proper venting was very reasonable. You can't go wrong in my book when you use Stan the Hot Water Man!!!!!

Very happy with our experience with Stan the Hot Water Man and our installer Jesse. We had what seemed like a tricky installation — replacing a direct-vent 75-gallon tank that doesn’t exist anymore. Jesse was unfazed and found us a perfect and affordable replacement without a hint of hassle. We knew this company must be top notch because our original plumber said they hadn’t seen a tank set up like ours in years and recommended we call THE best plumber in Portland for the job: Stan the Hot Water Man. Not only was i impressed with such an endorsement from a peer, I was even more impressed with Jesse’s quick and knowledgeable responses and easy-going manner that made the process so easy. If you need a water heater, these guys are the go-to.

Ian did a fantastic job helping me troubleshoot my water heater over the phone, most companies would have charged me a trouble call just to come out, but they didn't! Will definitely be buying parts from them again if something else occurs.

My water heater went out on a Friday and I called them for help. He was able to diagnose the problem and takjed me through how I could fix it myself. He spent about 20 minutes with me on the phone and facetime. I was able to fix it myself and up and running that night. No Charge! This guy is great and I won't use anyone else!

Fixing some leaky pipes we decided to replace our 17 y/o water heater. Got a great estimate from Stan and scheduled a time to install new heater. Rico came out next day and did a great job with new heater. Rico was very professional and friendly. I would highly recommend Stan The Hot Water Man if you want quality work at a very reasonable price.

Several people in my family have used Stan The Hot Water Man over the decades. Their price was more than fair: $1500 for a 50 gallon installed. They also would have been pretty quick this last time we needed a hot water heater to get it installed, had we needed a , 50 gallon one. That said, this last time we needed an 80 gallon hot water heater, so we ended up having to look elsewhere as they were only doing 50 gallon ones (hence a star off). However, I would have absolutely zero problems calling them if I needed a repair, needed a 50 gallon hot water heater or if they had had an 80 gallon one available.

I had high hopes that this company would do a good job when our water heater went. Our bill was over $3,000 but the there was only one tech person and they essentially just dropped/threw the water heater onto our coated flooring in the garage then proceeded to drag it around 1 to 2 feet leaving a large gouge into our epoxy floor. They also cut our previous water heater stand and then drug it around with the new water heater on our epoxy floor taking some pretty sizable chunks out of our epoxy floor. We were offered a $100 off our service and ended up with over $300-400 worth of damage once we were able to get the right epoxy and flake mix and have someone fix our floor. This company/tech does not seem to care about the property they work on and are more about the getting it done fast and for as much money as they can. For how much this company was charging per hour for labor i just expected more care for our property and the job. I don't recommend anyone use this company.

I could not be happier with Jesse and the service he provided installing a new 50 gal water heater. He was careful with all of the details and cleaned up every little drop of spilled water or dust that came with the install. We are now believers in Stan the Hot Water Man and especially Jesse who works for them. He was very good at communicating all along the way as we discussed the new water heater. We will use Stan the Man and Jesse every time we have a hot water heater need! Fred

Jonathon was awesome - communicative, knowledgeable, good at explaining things, and willing to hop right over to the hardware store because our water heater needed a different part. I thought we'd have to get a new one, so I'm glad to be able to get more use out of this one!

I normally post reviews of products and services that I've received. This time, I writing about the lack of service for what I was hoping to get scheduled. I phoned Stan the Hot Water Man on June 6th to schedule a service call for a tankless water heater. I was told that a contractor for my area (N. Portland) would be calling me in a couple days to schedule the service call. It is June 16th, and as of today, no one has contacted me. Sometimes ratings can be misleading.

Scott from STHWM is the real deal. Our tank went out and he came quickly to fix it. It was an old tank and I’ve been wanting to have a tankless water heat installed.

Took a few weeks to order the Rinnai tankless but Scott did a great job installing the whole thing… new gas line etc. etc.

We are really happy with the new Rinnai tankless.

Scott was awesome to work with. Very thorough, detail oriented, and really knows his stuff. Seriously great dude and great company to work with. I will use them in the future.
