Appliance Repair reviews in Lafayette Hill, Pennsylvania

Excellent service on my appliance which was under warranty and only 10 months old.

Never told me about a $105 "visit" charge... Stayed 5 min... Knew exactly what was wrong just looking at the fridge.... Quoted me 3to400 for repair... Then called and said it would be $490 plus tax... So the repair would cost over $600... SCAM... SCAM... When I called to question the quote, I was told it's illegal to give a bad review... I also waited 11min for them to find my paperwork.... BEWARE... THEY ARE SCAMMERS TAKING ADVANTAGE OF THE COVID FRIDGE SHORTAGE.... GOT MINE ANY WAY... LOWE'S ALWAYS COMES THROUGH...

The technician was great and service was completed as planned.

Such rude customer service. All I wanted was an estimate of what it would cost to replace the motor in my washer and the woman who answered the phone wouldn't even take a message for someone to call me back. When I asked when someone would be there I could talk to she said "I don't know we're all very busy here."

$100 just to come out and tell me what’s wrong with my dishwasher when I already know what’s wrong... a lid to one of our kids sippy cups managed to fall from the top rack, slipped through the bottom rack and onto the heating coil where it melted and is now stuck to. I asked the rude CSR on the phone how much would it be to replace the heating coil, her response was “sir we cannot give you a quote without knowing what’s wrong with it...”. After telling her for a second time that it was the heating element assembly she replied “sir, I’m not going to argue with you over the phone. We don’t give free quotes. When do you want to schedule the diagnostic appointment?” GD joke of a business

Finally... After many bad experiences with so called "qualified" fixit people, I finally located a real quality appliance repair facility... Fast, friendly and most important to me... Honest. This racket is filled with folks just waiting to take advantage of your lack of know-how and know-what. Save yourself a grief encounter and give this family owned business a call...

I highly recommend Ace Appliance. I have used them for years but recently had several appliances that needed repair. Office staff is always friendly and helpful. Our repair tech, Tyler, was professional, knowledgeable and pleasant. Obviously customer service is important to this company!

Outstanding…….Ace Appliance was extremely prompt, courteous and efficient. My appliance was quickly diagnosed and repaired the same day. The owner runs a professional business and answered all my questions and returned my calls. By far the best appliance repair service in the tri-state area.

BEWARE! STAY CLEAR! Horrible service and attitude - read on! Made the mistake of hiring them to fix my dryer. Extremely expensive. And cheated me! Paid for Tech to replace the rollers, but as soon as he left, dryer started making a worse thumping noise. 2nd tech came to diagnose and said he didn't know what the problem was and would not waste his time until he had replacement rollers. He came back to replace the rollers again and showed me that the first guy did NOT, in fact, replace, the rollers I paid for the first time! (Since such bad service and 'tude, decided to record this experience & got that on video) He had difficulty replacing the rollers and called for service manager who wanted to "rig up" something to make it work. When that didn't stop the thumping noise, service manager told me "that's the best you're going to get". Paid a lot of money for them to break my dryer worse! Demanded my money back and was threatened "better not see any bad reviews if I give you your money back" Only got part of my money back, so reviewing them. Would NOT recommend them - run far away!!

Was quoted $525 to fix a dryer thermostat. This is a common $12 part and 30 minutes of work. I was willing to pay just to get it done but they didn’t call me back for a week. Found someone else who did it for $400 less. Wow.

Very experienced and trustworthy staff. We have used Ace Appliance for over 25 years and are very satisfied with there service. They are a true family business that gives you the personal service. They have always gone above and beyond. The service business can be very demanding. The fact that they have been in business for over 50 years says a lot.

After using their service a few times, they charged my credit card without my authorization for a subsequent call to check on previous parts installed. When I contacted them, the manager was aggressively rude; I got the impression that they don't know how to deal with customers in an understanding manner.

I could not open the warming drawer on my Bosch range so I called ACE. A repairman and came out and after about 20 minutes, he couldn't get the drawer open either. Se he yanked it and there a big bang and the drawer opened. After about two weeks, now the drawer won't close. I called ACE again, and was told I had to pay the $109.00 service fee, even though they didn't fix the problem and in fact made it worse. I called Bosch and they are sending a repair person and will not charge me a service fee. I would not recommend ACE for anything. If I could give ACE minus stars I would.

Rude receptionist, guy comes out to give me a service quote on my gas range (which you have to pay for) and says I need a new part which should cost $300. I then get a call from "the parts department" saying it'll cost $600 to order my part (why did it double) but not to worry, it's in stock and should arrive quickly. A week goes by and I inquire about an ETA. I'm told to email, where I receive a response that the part is back ordered and not ready to ship (wait what!). I follow up a week later by email for an ETA. No response. At this point I'm resigned to the fact that this oven isn't getting fixed before Thanksgiving so ask for the name of the part. Nothing. Last try for an ETA and still nothing. Seems to me like a lot of deceitful practices going on here. Would recommend avoiding. Shame - wanted to love the idea of a small family run business.

Ace Appliance Service has repaired many appliances in my home – refrigerators, ice machines, washing machine and assorted other items. They are competent, fast, reasonably priced, and a pleasure to work with. I recommend them highly.

I used this service to “repair” my new Maytag that was still under warranty. I had a list of issues with it. They said everything looked fine and there was nothing wrong with it. So I got a $115 bill for them to come out and tell me there’s nothing wrong with it when all my issues continue to happen.

Ace did a great job. They called ahead as requested and they were punctual. The technician was professional and identified and fixed the problem. I would definitely use them again.

Very happy with my experience. Ace sent out Tyler, who was very friendly and patient. Figured out exactly the issue with my dishwasher and explained it to me carefully and all the steps needed to correct the problem. Ace is now my go-to appliance repair service. Thank you, Ace!

Tyler was able to fix my appliances needing repair and cleaning the vents of my dryer upstairs and down. Wonderful service today.!
