Mike Shields was recommended to me to solve a difficult issue with a leak behind a concrete landing at my front door. Mike's crew, led by the company's V.P. Ed, first completed the job of demolishing the old stoop and exposing the problem that caused the leak. With the cooperation of another outstanding general contractor, Matt Morgan at Top Notch Construction, the damaged area of the home was reconstructed and waterproofed in just one day. The Shields Landscaping guys then returned and built a beautiful new concrete landing. All of this was accomplished with speed and precision despite numerous challenges presented by bad weather. I recommend this company for their "Can Do" attitude, quality work and fair pricing.

Did not show for a scheduled appointment. Took time off from work to be available for this slotted apt. Called one hour after apt time and left a message but did not receive a call back. It is now 14 hours + after agreed upon apt time and zero communication from Plank Bros. Find a company that will respect you and your time.

Plank Brothers did an AMAZING job putting in a paver patio for us in our backyard. 20 years in our home and we have never had an outdoor space - now we do! It looks beautiful. Our entire yard was regraded and seeded, and we have a gorgeous patio to enjoy!

Dan showed up to give me a estimate, told me I should really be springing for something more expensive than the patio I wanted, said he’d send me an estimate within a few days, and then I never heard from him again. I let it go, and moved on with other plans.

Dan was a referral from a friend, who has since had major issues with him as well. When my friend wrote his company about the issues she was experiencing, she included the fact that he never sent me an estimate when she had thoughtfully referred him to me.

His response was that I “had someone in there a few days later doing the work, so he didn’t bother with an estimate.”

Interesting, since my husband ended up installing the patio himself weeks later at a fraction of the cost as a result of never hearing back from Dan.

Seriously, there are so many reputable landscaping companies in the area. Steer clear from this one.

Plank Brothers does an incredible landscaping job. I’ve had them come back three years in a row and I’ve been very happy every year. Their work is impeccable, their foreman is professional and easy to work with and their workers are friendly and do a great job. Dan is easy to work with, has given me very good suggestions and his services are reasonably priced. I highly recommend them!

I was charge and paid over $1000 to have new grass laid down that never grew. I was promise a return visit to take a soil sample and no ever came out.

I saw a vehicle that had a logo of K& M on the truck. They were blowing yard debris on to the sreet from a yard they were working on. I questioned them and they say that's how they do business and others do too. He said the rain would wash it down the street. He could care less about it washing into storm drains and onto other peoples property..Other services working in our neighborhood do not do things this way. He was beligerent toward me for questioning him.
