Five Star Lawn and Landscaping has been my lawn care service since 2007.If something isn’t as I wanted, it may have been my failure to explain clearly. For the most part they have been thorough and determined to give customer satisfaction. The crews are courteous and helpful.

The biggest problem was lack of communication, but Todd has taken steps to correct that. Everything is pink clouds and butterflies now!

Well I had them come to my house in SE Huntsville and they worked for hours trimming hedges, cleaning out flower beds, trimming bushed and I could not be more pleased.

They charged me $150 and I thought it was a deal since the yard had not had much done to it but mowed in years. I signed up for them to come out 4 times a year and basically do the same thing (which should be a bit easier now that they have it in better shape).

The only reason I did not give 5 Stars was setting up the time was a bit hit and miss but when they got here the work was exceptional . I also thought we agreed on $125 but considering the amount of work they actually did which was a LOT more than I expected I was more than happy to part with the $150 (plus a well earned tip)

We’ve used Five Star for a couple of landscape projects as well as regular maintenance of our property. You won’t get better quality or service anywhere else! Brandon just came by to do maintenance on my sprinkler system & he actually took the time to discuss & go over exactly what he was doing as well as what he would be coming back to do. I like that kind of communication & service!

One of the trees they planted for me in April fell down in July. Called twice and left voicemails, messaged them on the website as well, no response.
Update: They replaced the tree. They didn’t put down mulch around the base but otherwise did a good job. Trying to work through another issue with the another job they did. No movement yet but will see how it goes. increased my rating from 2 to 3 for now.

Hired Five Star to work on a drainage issue in my yard that I had for years. They installed a French drain, rescaped the land and laid sod down. The workmanship is excellent and they're very conscious of making sure the job is done correctly. The whole team was a pleasure to work with. Would definitely recommend their service!

Great experience with Five Star Landscaping. Constant communication on project status, notified my wife or I when they were going to arrive and depart, sent pictures through out, and gave options on how to proceed. The best part was....they cleaned up the site before they departed. I highly recommend them to anyone needing landscaping services in the Huntsville, AL area.

My project could have been labeled: "Night of the Monster Wisteria". The overgrowth was out of control. Unlike other companies who provided quotes, 'Five Star' had experience; they understood the scope of the project and what it would take to get the job done. It was a major effort that required three days of grueling work. The team had the most impressive work ethic I've seen. After each long day of work, the crew took the time to clean up the mounds of monster roots they dug and the tree limbs they removed. I now have a new backyard and I couldn't be more pleased. They did a stellar job - Five stars for 'Five Star'.

We love our finished flower beds at the front of our home! Tod and Brandon were very responsive to come out and quote our job and get paperwork done and Skip and Carlos did an amazing job installing the plants and border!!! I would highly recommend this company for your landscaping projects!

Had a wonderful experience with Five Star. We had them put in a sprinkler system for us and also install a French drain. They were timely, professional and the work was excellent. We are VERY pleased!

Unfortunately I am changing my review from 5 star to 1 star. When the rain finally let up and we started our spring cleanup, we realized that the project was not completed as agreed upon. Trees were removed as requested, but the root system above ground was left in place. That was a hard "must" be done in the work and it was agreed upon between me and Todd. They tried to do all the work in one day, but should have come back to finish. I have reached out several times only to hear "we are on the books" and then nothing. We paid a significant sum of money, but we feel we did not get our monies worth.

Amazing! My job needed a "think backhoe" to prepare a water reservoir for a water feature. Not being able to get the equipment into my back yard, and ignoring the high temperature that day, the three young men who came from Five Star L&L, took shovels and hand dug the necessary space to hold the water. They all kept smiles, worked without stopping except for water, and left a beautiful water feature just as I had asked. I received a call informing me when they would be here, and they were. Left my yard, but for the installation being there, as it was when they arrived. Again, amazing company and employees!

I have requested they come back and do scheduled lawn maintenance.

I had 4 contractors come out one Monday morning and 5 star was one of them Joiner cane out to bid the job for 5 star I got bids from all 4 contractors 5 star was not the lowest bid and not the highest but something just clicked with Joiner and I really nice guy was able to answer all my questions and never once did he say he didn't know it was a rather large job 9 yards of concrete for a patio but the complicated parts were to extend my existing patio and make it all look original with control joints and I wanted it to circle half way around my above ground pool and stay 1 foot away from the pool anyone who has formed concrete knows the radius is hard to get right this thing is flawless when they poured the concrete they wrapped the whole back of my house and the entire pool who does that 5 star does the crew of men they sent out were really great guys respectful and professional couldn't be happier with their work and also that day was in the mid 90's no breeze blowing it was hot but one of the things that impressed me so much was when Nicole from the office came to check on the guys to see if they needed anything I was impressed that she left an air conditioned office to spend about an hour in the field with the guys I could tell it meant a lot to the crew in closing i would hands down use 5 star again if anyone is considering using 5 Star and hasn't made up their mind yet feel free to give me a call Nicole knows how to reach me thank you so much 5 star

Brandon and his crew recently completed some work at my residence and I am super excited by the quality of work that was completed. It was exactly as requested and completed on time. I very seldom give reviews because quite frankly, I'm usually not that impressed with the work being done. In this instance, I am complete satisfied and I recommend Five Star Lawn and Landscaping to everyone. They are a quality company from the owners, office staff and employees in the field.

Ours was a small job but turned into a top quality, very professional, beautiful job. From beginning to end the entire staff from sales to laborers knew their craft and it showed. Workers were here from morning to night working until each project was complete…retaining wall, sidewalk pavers, irrigation system, and landscaping! (Several days in extreme heat and rain) 5Star listened to all our wants and concerns and were compliant to changes we wanted to make. Friendly, neat and very professional, I would recommend this group to anyone with landscape or hardscape needs.

I am so impressed with Matt, Clay and his 33 talented folks. They worked hard and transformed our property with flagstone, brick, concrete, pavers and sod. Matt has some exceptionally gifted and hardworking, friendly people working with him. I have recommended his outfit to several neighbors, and I know some have already called. The yard is finally looking sharp and standing tall, all set for further plants and other small items. Completely recommend!

I would highly recommend Five Star Lawn and Landscaping! Our flowerbeds look wonderful. Very easy to work with and intent on customer satisfaction. We had several bids on our property, and chose 5 Star, not because of price (not the lowest bidder). Skip left the job site every night completely clean and with great communication on what was left to be completed. The whole crew was easy to work with.

Five Star Landscaping installed some landscape lighting at my home and several months after they install it I had a warrenty issue. The quickly fixed the problem at no charge to me. This company cares about customer satisfaction and they stand behind their work beyond the initial installation. I have used them twice for various projects and will continue to use them.

I can't say enough about the service I received from this company! Everything about working with them was great! The foreman and his crew that did my landscaping went way beyond my expectations. I would definitely recommend this company for anything you might need. I will certainly use them again. My wife and I appreciate all that they have done for to complete our "backyard sanctuary. Words can not express how happy I am with the landscaping and service I recieved. They cleared out areas of overgrown weeds and trees and planted new ones for me. Exceptional work and showed up and finished in a timely fashion.

I needed to plant a new tree, but the soil was not draining after a rain. Todd came and gave expert advice on how to plant. I really appreciate his kindness.
