They were prompt, the price was good, they kept me apprised of some scheduling conflicts that came up (emergency on their end), they even rescheduled me for an earlier time so avoid some bad weather that was forecast. They completed the work quickly, cleaned up after themselves, and made sure I was happy with the work before leaving. It could not have been more painless. I have zero complaints.

My husband and I have two beautiful established trees in the front yard that were unfortunately riddled with mistletoe and causing a lot of stress to the trees. It was on our list of things to take care of before winter ended. I contacted a few places to get some quotes and I had people come out and tell me I needed to cut down to 10' above the crown of the tree, some people who didn't know what they were talking about (like what kind of trees they were), and then lastly, Clint, with Blue Ox. He gave his assessment of the trees, knew the type of tree variety right off the bat, and gave a fair pricing (along with a breakdown of what services they provided).

He and his team came back a few days later and spent 7 hours in my two trees making sure every piece of mistletoe was cleared out. Their work ethic is exactly what you want (safe, precise, and efficient), customer service, excellent, and pricing is more than fair. I cannot recommend them enough! My husband and I always try to use family owned/local businesses and Blue Ox Urban Forestry is by far one of the best!

This is such a fantastic company. I’ve used them 3 times to sort out my trees. They came today to take out my Bradford Pear tree that was damaged during the storm on Sunday. As always they were polite, hard working & ensured the site was tidied up when they finished. Would highly recommend them

When the quote was provided to me, it was written clearly and straightforward. The arborist knew all the trees and was very knowledgeable. I had a quote back within 1 hour.

When the arborists showed up to remove the trees, they were on time and well prepared. They worked slowly and methodically. I asked them to leave the mulch, and they obliged. They even came back later in the day with a different chain saw to remove more stump.

I would absolutely use them again.

What a great company! I was so impressed with the entire crew, so pleasant and focused on the job.They were careful but worked quickly and professionally. They did not leave a stray twig or leaf behind when they left, and they stuck to their schedule. I will definitely hire them again. Plus Paul Bunyan and I love the name!

When I was out of town recently, a large limb from a tree in my backyard fell onto my house (touching a power line!) after a lot of rain. Upon realizing this, I became a bit nervous because of the power line issue. Thankfully Clint from Blue Ox Urban Forestry came over right away to assess the situation. Clint told me what to say to my electric company to get them to temporarily disconnect the power line while his awesome team removed the branch in addition to cleaning up other dying branches on the tree. His team was very professional, efficient, and kept me updated throughout the entire process (as I was at work). I'd recommend Blue Ox Urban Forestry to everyone with any tree needs! They were knowledgeable and great!!

Was recommended to us by our realtor after we bought a home. Very easy to deal with, quickly responsive, professional, and just great work. Was unable to get access to grind a stump - so came back to cut the stump down to the ground. Couldn't have been happier with them and they now have a life-time customer and advocate for their work. I found Blue Ox Urban Forestry online and would not be more impressed with their customer service and work. Not only where they informative, on time, and did all the work quicker than anticipated they also cleaned up after themselves. I was super excited that when I asked them to leave me two of the stumps so I could make side tables they gladly said yes! I also got charger plates and coasters from my tree that they cut for me.

They did an EXCELLENT job on raising the canopy and thinning my Live Oak !! Reasonable pricing and very knowledgeable. They gave me advice on keeping all my trees healthy. Left my yard very clean and neat. Will definitely use them again!!

Blue Ox has come by every spring for 5 years to check on trees and determine if they need trimming. Approximately every other year they recommend trimming, only when in their professional opinion it is necessary for the health of the tree or safety. I have also had an instance where a storm damaged a tree. They were out the next morning for trimming to prevent damage and make the circumstance as safe as possible. They are on-time, professional, very responsive, and fairly priced. I would recommend, and have recommended, Blue Ox to friends and will continue to do so.

We had some limbs and smaller branches that were removed for kitty safety concerns. We had Casey and John (?) on site. Very prompt, polite, and careful, not to mention very quick about the
job at hand. They moved yard items that were at possible risk of being hit and replaced them when finished, as well as cleaning up where they worked. The pricing was extremely reasonable and we plan to have them back for a clean up on our other trees in a couple months. This was a fantastic experience.

I have been a customer of Blue Ox for a number of years. I originally chose Blue Ox because I was looking for a reputable company that also allowed me to be listed on their insurance policy when they did jobs at my house to protect me if there were any accidents. Most companies don't allow you to do that. But I've come to appreciate so much more about them. Mike, the owner, REALLY knows trees and takes his customer service seriously. When Atmos Energy redid meters in my neighborhood, Mike helped me navigate protecting my historic cedar elm. He didn't even charge me for the time he spent talking to me and the plumber Atmos assigned to do the job because I'd been a customer for so long. I rely on Mike and his crew to maintain that historic cedar elm as well as my precious pecan trees. They show up when they say they will and do the most incredible job with attention to detail. I also appreciate that they clean up so well after the job. If Mike is not on the crew himself, the men he sends are all Americans and appreciate the opportunity to work on my trees. Their prices are very competitive to boot! I have recommended them to others and will continue to do so.

No job too small!! We asked Blue Ox to plant one single Japanese Maple tree for us. To make things more complicated we wanted it in our rock garden. Further, we just had fresh sod installed in our yard and asked that they avoid the lawn as best they could.

They took great pains to not walk on the lawn, they moved rocks carefully to plant the tree, and they put everything back where it was.

A few weeks later Michael came out to check our tree and took time to explain my next steps in tree care.

This all for one small tree! Hard to find this kind of customer service these days.

Blue Ox was great! We recently bought a house and needed some work on the trees. I put in a request on the website and received a call back within an hour. I met with Mike to go over everything and he was very knowledgeable and helpful in explaining their process. They are very reasonably priced and did a great job with our trees. I'd had a lot of recommendations to call Blue Ox for some tree work. They seemed nice on the phone when scheduling a time to come out for an estimate, but when the day came... no show, no call, and no response still weeks later. Wasted 3 weeks of my time trying to go with what I'd been told was a great company.

I have used Blue Ox since 2015 and they have been exceptional. My yard is very shaded and before I worked with Blue Ox, I could not find the right balance of trees and grass. Since working with them both my trees and lawn look much better. In addition, their work on the trees has prevented tree branch related storm damage in high winds. Mike and his team are professional and timely and always willing to answer a question. I have introduced Blue Ox to my neighbors, and they are as pleased as I am about the tree services Blue Ox provides. I recommend using Blue Ox for all your tree care needs.
