Stopped by Shades of Green in Celina and was genuinely impressed with both the product selection and customer service. We were helped by Assistant Manager Julie Holland. She was very knowledgeable about the selection of Texas Native trees, shrubs and perennials. She went out of her way to make sure we were satisfied with our purchases and that all plants would thrive in my direct sun front yard. I will definitely return to landscape my backyard. Hopefully, Julie will be on staff that day as well!

The reviews are just the beginning. Every single time I step foot onto the soil of this establishment I feel at home. I’m so far from a gardener and my thumb is closer to black than green, but Julie has a way of convincing me that my capabilities are better than I believe them to be. Along with taking the time to hold my hand through every single question, she ensures that I’m prepared to properly care for my plants at home. I drive 30 minutes pass so many nurseries because of the customer service alone. Their amazing prices are truly the icing on the cake. Did I mention, they babysat my beautiful trees for a month while I was out of town ☺️. Listen to the reviews and make the trip, you won’t regret it. They’re honest, reliable and truly want their customers happy, I found a gem. Thank you Julie, I’m sure I’ll find an excuse to visit soon.

Truly enjoy visiting this location! All the team members are so helpful and very informative with all their indoor/outdoor plants! The best part is taking my 4 year old to visit their garden which was specifically designed for the children to interact with nature. The manger Julie always reminds my daughter that she has a friend at Shades of Green Celina! To the point that she runs out of my truck to look for her specifically! Great place to shop with your family!

So exciting to see a new garden center in the North. The store is up-and-coming and I'm sure we'll be busting at the same's very soon. Thanks to Julie for helping me pick out beautiful flowers and looking for trees.

I buy all my plants and trees from Shades of Green. Their team is knowledgeable and friendly, their plant material is of the best quality, and they have a huge selection between their Celina and Frisco stores. They won’t sell you anything that doesn’t thrive in North Texas.

Huge shades of green fan in Frisco and I drive out every now and then just to Salina the location cuz they are slightly closer. The best thing about this place is not just a great selection, but an awesome display and installation that you can walk around and see how actual plants are going to look. Plus they have a great pond that's been installed as well. Shades of green does a great job of finding Texas native plants and identifying them, so if you're focused on that, it's a great place to go. Their pricing is always as good as if not better than any other place out there.

I recently had the pleasure of visiting the Celina location of Shades of Green. I was interested in making some changes to my landscaping and had several questions. I found Julie and Callie to be extremely knowledgeable, helpful, and patient. They not only answered all of my questions, but went above and beyond to provide me with additional information. Thanks to their expertise, I now feel confident in my plans for my yard. I would highly recommend Shades of Green to anyone who enjoys gardening, as they offer a wide range of products and services. I was particularly impressed with their indoor plant section. Suffice it to say, I am now a loyal customer of Shades of Green.

I came in with a rough idea of what I wanted to plant in my front yard but nothing set in stone. Callie and Amy walked me through all the options that would work best in my yard. They were so helpful and knowledgeable and I’m so happy with the way it turned out. I will definitely be back

This is a great nursery owned by a local family with years of experience and degrees in horticulture from Texas A & M. They are really knowledgeable about local plants that thrive in our weather conditions. They have two locations one in Frisco and here in Celina, visit them you won’t be disappointed .

We’re so lucky to have a place like this close by. The staff are friendly, helpful, and incredibly knowledgeable, and their selection is fantastic. We even got to enjoy live music during our visit. It’s definitely a hidden gem in Celina!

Worth the drive to Celina! Thank you Julie for helping me select the perfect tree for my backyard. Justin and his crew did an amazing job planting it. We just love it!

I don’t leave reviews often but when you have such a great experience you have to— Today I went to SOG Celina and had such a phenomenal experience with Juile. She was exceptional! She was so incredibly helpful & knowledgeable! She walked with me, listened to my goals for gardening, and helping me pick out and think through my entire project. Even though I was indecisive she was patient and insightful.

She also told me about the future expansion, education, and upcoming events that are on the horizon for SOG. I love the forward thinking and community involvement SOG is bring to our community. Keep up the amazing work!

I had such a wonderful experience at Shades of Green Nursery Celina. From the moment I arrived, I felt welcomed and taken care of and that’s all thanks to Julie. Her customer service was truly outstanding. She was incredibly knowledgeable about the plants, answered all of my questions, and even offered some great advice for landscaping and care based on my yard conditions.

Julie went above and beyond to help me find exactly what I needed. It’s rare to find someone who genuinely cares and takes pride in what they do, but Julie clearly does. Shades of Green had a wide variety of beautiful plants to choose from.

Highly recommend this nursery, especially if you’re lucky enough to work with Julie!

Julie Holland is the best! She always gets back to us quickly when she can't answer and there hasn't been one time when she didn't go above and beyond to help. We genuinely appreciate you!

Off the beaten path but worth the drive! Stopped by for a couple of hard to find Teddy Bear Magnolias and a Butterfly Bush. Julie was very helpful and stock was plentiful! I’ll be back for their Thursday “Sip & Shop”; wine and plants seem like the perfect pairing!

Just had the best field trip at Shades of Green with our homeschool co-op! First of all, Julie is amazing! She let the kiddos feed the koi fish, gave the kiddos tips on what they could start planting in a fall garden and then let us pick pears from the pear tree. We all had the BEST time and Shades was so kind to accommodate our sweet group. Homeschool mamas if you’re looking for a fun, educational outing with your kiddos, you’ve got to head up to shades of green!!!

Doesn’t get any better than this place. It is always my first stop. I own a landscape company and highly recommended this place. Great product and even better people!!

We hired a landscaper to redo our front beds. He mentioned Shades of Green when I asked where I should get them. We found that the Nursery in Celina is only 12 miles from us and headed over. We were looking for someone to help and it was only a couple minutes before we did, she said let me get someone to help you. She brings Julie over and I knew we were in good hands right away! She was laid back, funny and listened to everything we said as we walked the property. She had to handle other people as we made our way around so she turned us over to Callie who was also great. I highly recommend this nursery for your plants, they are knowledgeable, easy to work with and we did not feel rushed or lost at all, so that makes me happy!!! Oh, and we took a map to show the area and Julie marked it with a legend and we walked away with a complete successful trip to the nursery :)

Great nursery, especially for wholesale accounts / landscaping professionals. They beat every vendor on price for 99% of plants from what I’ve shopped for clients.
