We wanted to just take a minute and tell you how wonderful the renovations turned out. Both the master and powder room bathrooms are just beautiful. It’s one thing to look at them while they are being constructed, and it’s another to actually start using them. We have so much more room and we just love everything. Thank you so very much!

We were referred to Midtown Cabinetry from a friend that had them do their beautiful kitchen remodel. We wanted a total gut job and rearranging of our current kitchen/laundry/pantry/fireplace with a wine theme. Midtown listened to what we envisioned and created a computerized view of the end result. We had so many special requests and they were able to ensure they all were met. Midtown even offered suggestions to make our vision turn out even better. Examples: Beams in the ceiling. Coffee bar area. Wine bar area with wrought iron faced cabinet and wine glasses to set on glass shelves with mirrored backing accented with colored lighting. Pull out cabinet for our wine glass drying unit. Trash can cabinet pullout. Bread box cabinet drawer. Cabinet dividers for knives, pots, and pot covers. Under cabinet lighting. Alexa connected lights. We had 7 new appliances, and Midtown ensured that appliances fit according to the appliance specs within all the new cabinetry. Midtown was there each time a new crew came out to ensure each crew knew their part of the process. Matt and Scott from Midtown were so friendly, professional, and accessible, making the whole remodel go smoothly to the end. We LOVE the end result. Near the start of our kitchen renovation on March 27, 2020 one of Midtown Cabinetry & Designs subcontractors cut a water pipe in our kitchen wall causing a large quantity of water to flow onto the oak flooring in the kitchen and into the walls, flooding the ceiling of the room below ruining the ceiling, and flooding the overhead insulation and sheet rock over the adjacent rear outdoor storage area.
Matt would not call a mitigation company to take care of the flooding damage. Maybe he does not have builder’s insurance?
The kitchen oak floor swelled up and a large hole was cut in the floor to facilitate drying the flooring and the sub floor. This went on for weeks with us (the homeowners) tending the dehumidifiers day and night.
I requested that Matt, owner of Midtown Cabinetry & Design, restore the floor. He refused, stating that he had the best wood floor contractor in the Houston area who would be able to match the existing floor when refinishing the damaged portion.
Matt’s subcontractor has not been able to match the original floor and Matt has refused to restore the floor as I asked him to.
It is now October 28, 2020; the floor is not right and today the flooring contractor said he cannot make it right. The floor color does not match and the transition to the original floor is rough, uneven, badly sanded, off color and sheen.
Tex (not his real name), Matt’s cabinet installer and helpers refused to wear face masks in our house during the Covid19 epidemic, with us being in our seventies this is very inconsiderate of our well being.
When a new cabinet was removed to facilitate the wood floor drying, trash was found behind the new cabinet and under the island cabinetry. Leaving trash behind and under newly installed cabinets is slovenly workmanship.
The cabinet installer did not clean up outside where he sets up his power tools and left sawdust on our deck and screened-in porch every time he worked here.
It has been eight months since the beginning of this project and it has been a nightmare.

I hired Matt for my kitchen remodel. Having never remodeled a kitchen, I was really nervous and didn't know what to expect. Matt is trustworthy and made me feel at ease. He worked with me within my budget and presented options that I could afford. He was always professional and is skilled at juggling many responsibilities at once. Adan our tile expert is an artist and Mick, Dave and Manny did a superior job on our countertops.

Midtown Cabinetry designed and performed a kitchen and fireplace remodel for us. Matt worked closely with us every step of the way. Very accessible and helped us select options that best fit our needs and tastes. Contractors for demolition, electrical, plumbing, painting, countertops, tile/flooring, and carpentry were all excellent, with good communications and daily cleanup. Work was done in a way that minimized the disruption over the two month project.

Had full trust in Matt throughout the process, based on his consistent reliability in meeting commitments and budget. We were provided with a detailed project quote/budget with conceptual design drawings. Matt personally came out to oversee the work frequently, and was always available by phone or a visit to his nearby showroom.

It all started with one of my house hot water heater tanks broke in the attic and it damaged about half of my house. At that point, we decided to restore and renovate the entire house. I am glad that I found Midtown Cabinetry and Designs from the Google search and linked me to Houzz.com for the projects they worked on with amazing photos proof there. Matt is an honors, trustworthy person and easy to work with. I can contact him after work or on the weekend for any questions I have and he will response within minutes. He will work around our schedule for people like us have full time job during the day.

Matt helped us from budget planning, design advice, material selections to the entire house project completion when we had no idea what we were looking for the new changes at the time. He presented the options to fit into our budget and the outcome is exceeded our expectations.

He helped us do the kitchen redesign, countertops, cabinets, appliances, plumbings and lighting fixtures selections. Three and half bathrooms redesign and end results are so beautiful and we love it. We enjoy our new renovated house very much. I definitely recommend him and his crews for their details and amazing works.

We are so pleased with Midtown Cabinetry and the amazing kitchen remodeling job they did for us. Their experience was so helpful in providing the best design that would work for us. The contract workers were the best from start to finish. What we really liked was the way a work schedule was provided for the entire project. It provided the work that would be done each day of every week and updated on a weekly basis as needed. The entire project was completed as scheduled. Let me start with, I love to cook and my kitchen is my happy place. When we purchased our 1976 built home 5 years ago, we knew we would need to redo the kitchen one day. When we finally were ready, I interviewed 5 different companies before deciding on Matt. His overall professionalism and clear attention to detail were what stood out most, along with his communication skills. He clearly communicated the plans, costs, and schedule prior to construction start and ruing construction to ensure we were all on the same page. This was a larger job, taking my kitchen down to studs, moving water, sewer, gas, upgrading electrical, and installing new floors, cabinets, walls, ceilings, and appliance. He was here daily checking on the project and answering my hundreds of questions. His designer, Scott, designed a beautiful kitchen and helped us pick out tiles that were a fantastic compliment to our renovation. The subs he had were AMAZING. They were professional, respectful of our home, and skilled in their trade. So much so, we will be hiring three of them to do other work on our home. Having been bitten by other, less reliable and honest contractors in the past, I was nervous about this job but Matt and his team really did a phenomenal job and we will be using them again in the future.

Absolutely first-class in all ways. Matt and Scott helped us settle on a design and then made sure we got exactly what we wanted. It turned out even better than we hoped. All of their subcontractors' workmanship and attention to detail were astounding. The cabinets are perfect and the countertops are amazing. I cannot recommend them highly enough.

We are super happy with our whole primary bath gut and remodel. The cabinets are gorgeous! They did great prep work in regard to keeping house clean and always communicative - But these guys are integrity driven on making sure the project was done right! Everyone that came into work on our project was very experienced and knowledgeable and had true attention to detail. Quite the craftsman in their individual trades. The end result is fabulous and we recommend them 100% and will use them again!
