Always There Air

Always There Air was courteous, professional, and really went out of their way to troubleshoot and fix my heating issues! Signed up for their maintenance plan as well - they are very knowledgeable!

Trust me when I say we have had the WORST experiences with contractors and HVAC technicians - and we’ve dealt with a lot of them. That is absolutely NOT the case with Caleb. We’ll never call or refer our friends to another company. He’s trustworthy, knowledgeable, takes pride in doing the job the right way, communicates clearly, and is reasonably priced. What more can you ask for? Plus, you’re getting to support a small business! Why would you mess around with a huge company who sends just anyone to your home?

It started getting hot in my house late on a Saturday night. I checked the outside unit and sure enough, it wasn't working. I started reading reviews of local HVAC companies and made a call the next morning (Sunday, mind you) to the most promising one I found. I was not disappointed.

Caleb came out to my house shortly after the phone call and was quick to find the problem. Unfortunately, my system had finally cooled its last room. Caleb described the problem, demonstrated it and offered several solutions tailored to the features I was interested in and to my budget.

Every summer this topic comes up with friends, family, and coworkers and without fail you will hear horror stories about the rising cost of HVAC system replacement, so I was prepared for a pretty big number. I have to say I was actually surprised when it came in under what I was expecting, and not by a little. Having said that it was more than I have handy, so I went with one of the financing options offered by Always There Air.

As soon as we agreed on a solution to the broken system Caleb was off to collect some portable AC units and set them up in my sweltering house. In short order we had some comfortable places to sleep, unlike the previous night.

The next day Caleb and his team arrived and got started. Removal and replacement of the outside unit, the unit in the attic and the addition of a return air duct took several hours as you might expect, but progress was steady and by the end of the day we had a cool house.

Caleb had told me from the start he was pretty particular about workmanship. Every aspect of the installation is clean: elevated ducts, straight and level equipment, clean mastic and silicone seals, adequately sloped PVC drain line. Every detail looks right and wow does it work! I've never known the house to get so cool. And it's easy to access when it's time to swap out filters. It's everything the previous installation wasn't.

OK, so this company was responsive, quickly determined what the problem was and offered several solutions, made the house comfortable until the work started the next day, completed the installation in one day, took pride in the work and left the house clean and much cooler than they found it, and gave me a much more efficient system than I had before. Oh, and they came in under the number I had in mind.

So what's the catch? No catch, just call these guys if you need HVAC work. I have a feeling I won't be needing a new system anytime soon, but the next time we're trading AC horror stories at work I've got one to tell with a happy ending.
