Cindy, in Service is amazing! Warm and friendly, very responsive and will do what it takes to get things taken care of in a timely manner and always checks to see if something is under warranty before charging.

kinda wondering why the employees think it's appropriate to honk after the light is green for .02 seconds and then cut people off on the freeway and make illegal merges? in a company vehicle? yikes.

Joy Pools is very responsive and provided quality service as fair prices. I have been using them for pool repairs and maintenance for years.

Excellent customer service. Quick turn around to emergencies and genuine, thoughtful concern for issues. Highly recommend this company for construction, maintenance and repair.

Joy Pools and Cyndi have been pleasant to work with during our warranty period on our three pools. The pools are gorgeous!!

The furthest thing from Joy. A NIGHTMARE!!! This was by far my worst pool experience. Please go find someone else to renovate your pool. Lynda the salesperson showed up to sell me and then never once showed up again regardless of how many times I expressed concern over the process. I had to constantly call to get a worthless supervisor to come out to virtually do nothing each time. It took them over one month to do what a quality company has done for me in the past in a couple of weeks.

Please don't use Joy Pools. It was a Nightmare!!!

My neighbor is having Joy Pools construct a pool, the job site has been an absolute wreck for 3 months. Mounds and mounds of soil run off to adjacent yards, street, and sewer pissing everyone off. Three wheel barrels of sand, mud, and trash so far. Imagine the quality work of being done, think about it???? I would never use a company like this!!!!!

We couldn't be more pleased with our pool. With the exception of uncooperative weather, the experience couldn't have been better. They cleaned up the site daily and were very respectful of our property. Their supervisor, Terry, was the best and always so willing to work out changes that we requested. I have a career in professional project management and was very impressed with their attentiveness to details.
They were always easy to contact and their workers were very conscientious and truly took pride in what they do. Post installation attention and service have been top quality as well.
We would not have the slightest hesitation to have them build our next pool. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for a new pool.

Had Joy Pools come out to measure the yard for a new pool construction and they never called me back or followed up with the design process. Unfortunately, they're unprofessional and unreliable.

10/26 Fact Follow-Up: Someone from the company called me saying that the designer had been trying to call and email me. She cited my email address correctly and obviously was able to call me AFTER a review has been posted(30 minutes later)... so someone wasn't telling the truth, either to me or to her... but as I have already gone with another company, I thanked her for the call and declined her services. The review still stands.

Furthermore, Joy Pools should really stop lying because my voicemail IS and HAS ALWAYS been set up, as they claim it's not and they were not able to leave a message. I rarely get voicemails because my work requires me to always have my phone on me. The fact that they are still making things up is only further speaking to their character(or lack thereof) in my opinion. If my voicemail apparently "wasn't set up", does that mean my email address "was undeliverable" also? Come on, get real. I work in technology and rely on all methods of communication and Joy Pools used none of the aforementioned means.

If they claim they did, then either the Owner is lying or the Designer that came out to me is lying to them. If the Designer is, then it's easy to validate one way or the other. Phones save outgoing call logs and email systems save Sent emails so it's easy to confirm internally that these contacts were never made. If they can procure such call logs or sent emails then I'd be happy to chalk my claim of lying up to failed digital communications, but it's very hard to believe I never received both calls AND emails.

We’ve had a pool for 2 years, and prior to today, I still knew very little about how the pool worked. Out of desperation, I called Joy Pools and signed up for Pool School. Before calling, I was a little fearful that my expectations were too high and I would be extraordinarily disappointed. The lovely lady I spoke with assured me that Greg, my instructor, would be patient and take all the time needed to answer my questions. Fast forward to today. Words cannot convey how exceptional my experience was! Greg is a pool/hot tub genius. He explained how everything works, helped me understand how the water flows in various stages, helped me understood both what to do and why it was important, and went through my 1.5-page list of questions, ensuring each question was answered. He listened patiently as I repeated what I had heard to ensure I fully understood. On top of all that, he identified all the problems, both minor and major, that caused our pool to function less efficiently, and helped me prioritize the repairs. Greg is my hero!! Thank you, Greg, for providing the kind of service that is hard to find and never forgotten.

Company customer service is not there. My moms idependent living facility had a pool put in from them and Joy has been all but responsive to problems with a new pool they were paid well to put in for management company. Its like once they get the check for the pull they run away as fast as they can. Home builders aren't even that bad. I feel sorry for the new Property Manager having to walk into that mess. Brand new pool and building. Joy Pools screamed at the new manager rather than taking time to work through a simple issue and even taking the time out of their schedule to go over and meet with new manager and go over new pool. My call to Management company will be to provide them with a more invested pool builder 15 minutes away who is always there to handle problems.

BEWARE- unless you want a pool built without anyone watching over the project to make sure things are being done correctly and are ok with horrible product. The WORST experience of building anything in my life.

I thought at the cost of $150K + you would have something that would hold up and look great!!
Here are a couple of things that happened on our build.

-They talked us out of the Leuders we originally wanted because of them not coming in uniform color. HOWEVER, the leuders they used on our pool looked like they had 20 different jobs and picked up all the left over leuders and brought them to our pool so they are all different. (see pictures below). They are now starting to erode away (we have chlorine pool not salt)

-They forgot to put in a water fill line. They tried to tell me some people would rather put their hose in the pool than use a fill line (takes 5 min with fill line and the hose is longer than that) so they wouldn't have to come and fix the mistake.

-They forgot to put in the vacuum pump. There is a hole in the pool for the vacuum, but they didn't know if the line was really put in or not. They would have had to dig to find the line. Instead of finding out if we really had one so they could install the pump that sat on our back porch the entire build they gave us pool vacuum robot. The Robot cleaner broke the end of the 1st summer and tried to find out if it was under warranty. I emailed them to get information and they said they would find the information. I couldn't get any information from them and I had to deal with robot company on my own to figure things out.

    -They installed the wrong spill/fountains.

    - I am thinking some of the rock they used is not actually made for outdoors. We have certain pieces of rock that just crumble and are almost crumbled down to the grout. (see pictures)

After the 1st summer the stone Leuder they used for the spillway way started cracking and deteriorating and the crumbling pieces were falling into the pool. The water then instead of being a pretty waterfall spill way just ran under cracks onto the rock and now wearing the rock away. I emailed to see if they could fix it and this is the response I received "They said it is the veneer on the spillway and that how that material is". So they talked me into the material in the first place to have it start crumbling by the end of the 1st year. I am now starting year 2 and the leuders that are now crumbling. (see pictures)

I wish I would have known how horrible this company was to not only work with, but the horrible product they used. I would think it should last past year 1 and now the start of the 2nd it is looking way worse. The customer service on top of that the worst I have ever worked with as well.

If you decide to build with them make sure you discuss payment and that they do not get their payment until EVERYTHING is completely finished. They want all their money before it is even finished and there is no way to get them to fix their mistakes when they have all the money in advance. Last payment should be done when the final walkthrough is done.

I hope nobody else has to pay the price we paid for the horrible product we received. I was only telling my neighbors and neighborhood about the issues, but now I feel like more people need to know so they can go elsewhere.

If you are already in the process building with them. Stay on top of everything they are doing and make sure you speak up. Worst company EVER!!

EDIT: My husband will be calling, but if you stand by your work why when I emailed 8/2023 about the deteriorating Rock and veneer after the 1st summer and had to keep emailing until your company finally answered back 10/2023 saying "They said it is the veneer on the spillway and that is how the material is" So the Rock and material you use on an outdoor pool deteriorate after the 1st year and look even worse starting the 2nd summer? We will see how your company stands behind their work after my husband calls Lynda tomorrow.

Joy pool did an amazing job building our pool. It was such a joy having joy pools do exactly what they said they were going to do when they said they were going to do it and for the price that we agreed upon. We had just completed a very disappointing home build and contrasting that experience with our pool building was such a Joy. I would highly recommend them.

Joy Pool built our pool 3 years ago. This is our 2nd from them. We have always had excellent and timely service from them. I was so happy to learn that they have someone to service my pool weekly. I met with Greg & Jeff today & have to say I am quite pleased with their professionalism & friendliness. They will be servicing our pool from now on.

We love our new pool built by Joy Pools Inc. Our Pool was completed by the estimated date. The Pool design was exactly what we wanted in a pool. The start up and service has been very professional. Joy Pools is the best in the business!

When looking to build a pool, we met with 3 other well known companies before calling Joy Pools. Within minutes of meeting Phil, it was obvious he was far more knowledgeable than the sales people from the first 3 companies we met with. Phil was able to provide very detailed answers to very question we had. And unlike the other companies who just wanted to show us pictures of pools they previously built (and I assume just pick from one of those pictures), Phil asked us questions about what we wanted. He took the time to understand our wants and designed a pool which satisfied all of our requests and more.

We never felt pressured or that we were being ‘sold’ something...rather, we were receiving an education on pools, the construction process and what to expect. During the design process, we met with Phil on 3 separate occasions, and each time he was happy to guide us through material selections, options and color choices. Their level of knowledge, professionalism and attention to detail is why they are building our pool.

After my wife did extensive research and asked opinions we picked Joy Pools to build our pool. Everything they committed happened. Build time was good recommend off season which is what we did. Like any big project you run up against challenges. Joy Pools always resolved and the communications were good. All the workers are so respectful! Thank you Joy Pools!!

Joy Pools designed and built our outdoor oasis including inground pool, outdoor kitchen, hot tub enclosure, firepit area, privacy panels and fence. The quality of work is stunning, and has been ahead of schedule. They have been great with follow up and instructions. Quick to address any issues that arose. Super nice and knowledgeable staff. They were all great to work with. I would highly recommend Joy Pools!

We did a big project involving a large outdoor living space, pool and spa. Would definitely use Joy Pools again based on the level of trust we established during the build process.

    Went well:
    * Design was very detailed - accounted for elevation of our yard and a tricky spa design
    * Masonry / tile work is top notch
    * Happy with the work done by their subcontractors - pool dig, gunite, plaster, covered patio, sprinklers, etc
    * Great job grading and cleaning up the site
    * We love our pool, spa, outdoor kitchen and living area overall

    Could have been better:
    * Was a big project and took a really long time to complete
    * I spent a lot more time following up with them than I anticipated
    * Often unable to predict when the next task would start
    * Some issues with getting materials we originally selected
    * Some things lost in translation between sales and construction

Anything I called out they worked hard to resolve though, and in the end we’re extremely happy with the project.

Joy Pools did an excellent job in constructing my pool and hot tub during 2022. One of the reasons I selected them was because they invited me to a pool being built so I can see first hand what was involved in constructing a pool. That gave me confidence in my selection. The project manager (Reed) was always on the job, especially during milestone tasks (excavation, concrete, decking, gunite spray, etc.). I had plenty of questions during the construction, and he and his crew answered all of them. Joy Pools told me the pool would be completed in 4 months, and that's the timeframe that it was done. I requested some extra items during the construction (i.e. higher retaining wall with additional veneer at extra cost), and they accommodated my requests, with no delays in the schedule.

At the end, the pool looked awesome. Even better than the rendering! Punchlist items that I found after the major construction was completed were addressed in a timely matter. They also addressed and were responsive to other minor issues after the construction was completed, including some warranty items. Being attentive to my questions and items AFTER construction is what makes Joy Pools the company to go with if you want to build a pool. Not only are they versed in the art of pool construction, but they also make you feel like a highly important customer, event though they work on other projects. They were a 'joy' (pun intended) to work with!
