I previously used this company to replace a garage door spring and had a good experience. Since I was experiencing issues with the opener this time, I called them again.

The part to fix the opener would take two weeks to arrive, so we opted to replace with a new opener. The service was really good, just like the first time, my only feedback here is there was no courtesy call to say they were on the way for either visit on this last service. Calling ahead would be good to plan around.

My biggest disappointment was finding out, by researching, after the opener was installed that the new opener was less powerful than the previous one we had. We have a heavy garage door, and this has caused the door to open slower than before, which wasn't anticipated. Not a huge issue, but it would have been good to know what to expect when deciding on the model to install as a replacement. Had I know, I would have opted for the same or better than was previously installed.

Suppose it's one of the learn by trial and error, which I'll keep in mind the next time I need to replace an opener. This should be something that the company advises the customer at point of sale/before install.

A little excitement when I tried to head out late last night, not realizing our garage door was locked. The opener pulled, but with the door locked, a left lower roller popped out of place, as did the left side cable and the center stile (where the door is lifted by the metal arm) was displaced.
Gary at Genie Sales & Service returned my call early this morning, came by shortly thereafter, and got everything back to normal quickly! He and his son Cory have taken great care of our door over the years and are always professional and courteous.

I do not want to leave an extensive review but I will say that Cory went "all out" to provide me outstanding service for my garage door. We were experiencing a lot noise as the garage door went up and down. I really figure it was time for some type of maintenance since the garage door was operational since 2004. Cory took care of business. He lubricated all the springs and replaced some worn out rollers and now the garage door is quiet as a church mouse. Thank you Cory for the outstanding service.

Having been both a homeowner and the owner of several home rental properties for many years, I have called on garage door companies many times, primarily for repairs, but I have purchased new doors and openers, as well.

Over the years, I have found this industry to attract many deceptive and outright crooked companies. Some pose as a local company, when they are far away. Others prey upon trusting folks, who often don’t get multiple bids / prices, and charge outrageously unethical prices.

GENIE SALES & SERVICE CO. is one of the rare garage door businesses I trust in North DFW. Family owned and operated by father and son.

They have proven to be trustworthy, highly competent & knowledgeable in this industry. They are the only garage door sales and repair company I recommend to my family and friends.

I would advise folks to get always get bids from 2 or 3 reputable local companies. And, always call on Genie Sales & Service when you do.

OMG! Cory is the best!! My garage door came off its tracks and I left a message for Cory, he called me back within 20 minutes and we had it fixed within an hour. He was sooo kind and efficient! We recently found Genie garage door sales and service and it was a blessing. I shopped around for a month with estimates from a few vendors. My search was frustrating with insincere sales tactics and up-charges on things I didn’t need. With a little luck, we came across Gary and Cory at Genie sales. He met me at his shop on short notice, allowed me to see the merchandise at his shop, and truly listened to my questions and concerns. I immediately could tell that this is an honest family business which prides themselves on integrity and customer service. Gary came out to my house the next day, gave me a solid estimate on only we he and I felt was needed and replaced my doors a couple days afterwards. His prices beat the competition and he didn’t find anything wrong with my current garage door motors. This was something that the other vendors were trying to rip me off on. With that said, I decided to upgrade to insulated doors with ornamental hardware. I can’t say enough on how great they look and the quality of doors Genie sell are fantastic. They feel solid and the hardware is much better quality than what I previously had. Thank you Gary and Cory for your professionalism, honesty, and prompt work! I was experiencing an issue with my newly purchased Genie unit from Home Depot. He was quick to respond to my inquiry and was extremely professional. He was flexible in meeting me the next day and was able to help me solve the issue I was experiencing. You can tell he cares and wants to help the customer. If you have issues with your genie unit in the future or need any garage door work done, I’d recommend you go with Cory!

Cory with Lewisville Genie Sales and Service came this morning to fix my garage door opener. He was fantastic, friendly, and efficient. Mostly, he knew what he was doing and was honest. Yesterday I had a representative from Flower Mound Garage Door Repair come. He totally missed the easy problem and wanted over $300 to work on unit, but could offer no guarantees that it would work, or I could buy a new opener for around $800. I paid the service call and sent him on his way. Cory located the problem in less than 5 minutes and it did not require any new parts. How lucky I was to find this amazing man to help with my problem.

Nowadays, vendors such as he are becoming extinct, especially in the north DFW area where apparently anyone can call themselves a tradesman commanding 150% market rate but delivering 60% of industry standard. Absolutely amazing service!! We needed a new motor and they delivered. Not only did they give us a much better price, but their customer service was great. Cory installed the new motor, explained the new system to me and synced my car with the new motor. I was referred to them by a neighbor and will definitely be recommending them to others.

Cory was EXCELLENT. Our garage door was jerking when it closed - so badly I thought it would rip the unit out of the ceiling. Cory came over and within 5 minutes was able to tell me that our garage just needed some TLC. 30 minutes later it’s working like it’s brand new and he even replaced the light bulbs in it. 10/10 service and I’ll definitely be calling him again if I ever need him!
