I love shopping local and always try to do so. Millcreek Gardens does have very high prices and not great looking plants. I still do shop there for pots and certain other goods. I called today and spoke to Martha and asked if they carried edging and she said she didn’t know. Pause. I asked if she could check. She did and said yes. I asked for pricing and was told nope, she wasn’t allowed to give prices over the phone per the owners. I left a message for the owners and was called back to be told that they had never had a complaint about Martha and that if I visited them for 30 minutes I would understand that they are too busy to answer questions. Apparently customer service and quality products are not important here. So I will take my local shopping to Glover nursery where the service and prices are very good.

My favorite place to shop for planting, gardening, houseplants, and landscaping projects. The people there are friendly and knowledgeable. If you have questions about pests or blight there is always someone who can answer you and give you advice.

Great customer service and plants. I go every year to get more compost, because their's is fantastic. My garden loves it!

One Star. Unfriendly older people running the business; everything overpriced from small plants to trees and accessories. The quality does not compare to Home Depot. I bought a concrete bird bath for $225.00 July 2022. The seller would not negotiate a dime. We kept in yard in Summer & Fall; stored it in my garage Winter & Spring. June 2024 it broke at the base while sitting outside. Collapsing on the ground the bath broke into five pieces. It’s in my garbage can and I’ll be shopping for another, maybe metal from Walmart, Home Depot or online. I will never be back to this nursery for anything.

Bought some seeds and tried to return them 3 days later. They wouldn't refund the charge. The only option was a shop credit.

I have never actually been here, I have just tried calling and using their website. The website has very limited information. Every time I call no one answers. I’d prefer to know some of the basic offerings before driving over there. Guess I’ll stumble in there someday….probably will look elsewhere for my needs in the meantime.

My mother and I recently came to buy some Hostas and Yew bushes and were very pleased by how things went. The lady who helped us who I believe was named Donna was wonderful. She was newer and mentioned she didn't know something so she immediately went and found out and then helped us find the perfect plants and got us a cart to transport everything without being asked. All the way around she went out of her way to help us out and go above and beyond. Would definitely recommend showing here for your plant needs.

I love this place but please answer the phone or text at any extension. Makes things way more efficient for businesses, thanks.

Milcreek Gardens dropped off Poinsettia's at Woodland Park Rehabilitation and Care Center for our staff and residents. Brightens not just our building but put a smile on so many residents when we delivered them to the rooms. Staff and residents felt a big hug from our community today thanks to Milcreek. THANK YOU for the thoughts and being such a positive business in our community!

Never again. We live right by this nursery, and we have been buying from this nursery for decades. Last week, my husband bought a couple rolls of new sod. When we unraveled one of them, we both saw that it was in pretty bad condition considering it wasn't seconds, but new sod. But we planted it, like the other sod, and watered daily. And w/in a week, we could tell it was not going to survive; the other sod, in the exact same location, is doing well. Not this one. Something's wrong with it. So my husband took some pics and the receipt (which shows we also bought an $80 plant while there last week with the 2 sod) back to Millcreek Gardens, and the rudest guy, I think he is the manager, told my husband that we had to return it in within 24 hours. What? No one told us that. He kept yelling about policy. That's the policy? Then someone should have told us. He was extremely rude, and my husband is a very passive nice guy. My husband is a retired police officer of over 30 years, and I am an attorney, and we are honest people. And we have spent so much money there over the years; for this guy to yell about policy, shocking, for one sod worth $10. So if you go there to buy, which I don't recommend, because they don't care about their customers, and if you do buy sod, return within 24 hours, even though they don't tell you that. What a joke of a guy to work there. Why would Millcreek Gardens hire this guy as the manager? Maybe he's even the owner! Never know, but you lost us and all of our extended family and our friends. We have told several of our friends about this, and it shocks them as much as it is shocking us.

This is hands down my favorite garden spot for nursery plants, seeds, and planting material and their knowledge about Utah weather and native plants is especially helpful. Additionally, they give great advice and have a great supply of bulbs/tubers if you're into that sort of thing.

Edited to add a few things. I certainly can't speak for every employee or every interaction. But I can think of a couple of points that helped get me to this review.

Prices: others seems to complain about the prices. I haven't really noticed a huge difference. I have found specific cultivars here that are above and beyond what I'd get in a box store and feel the prices aren't that much different than other local places. There definitely ARE some things more expensive, but also a lot that are less.

Employees. I don't go in here looking to bargain or wheedle and thus it's been a surprise to me on a few occasions where an employee/manager knocked a few dollars off a pot or a plant because of something they noticed. They seem to care that I'm happy with my purchase.

When this place is busy it's busy. There is no doubt about it. Go early - beat the rush, pet the kitties that come out in the morning and hide when it's crowded.

The really sweet staff of Millcreek Gardens came and dropped off Poinsettias to all of our childcare staff. We loved the thoughtful gift and cute note they left us. Thank you Millcreek Gardens for spreading kindness in our community!

Update- Saw the owner pulling in to open the shop in a cyber truck.. We will not be shopping here anymore.

Millcreek gardens is a lovely local shop with a large veriety and everything you need for gardening I gave 4 stars because the prices were a bit high. I totally get they are a local shop and we pay more to shop local but some of the prices are a bit extreme like for a spider plant. Other than that the staff is great the shop is even well organized I would recommend anyone of my friends to shop here.

I rarely leave negative reviews, but my experience with Millcreek Gardens was frustrating from start to finish. Communication was difficult—staff came across as abrasive and dismissive when questions or concerns were raised. We were given timelines and expectations that were either inaccurate or not followed through, which made planning incredibly difficult. I expected more professionalism and respect, especially given their reputation. Unfortunately, I can’t recommend them based on this experience.

They're expensive but their stuff is good! Eva went above and beyond helping us pick out an Asian pear and bringing it to our car. Thank you so much Eva we will definitely come back!

I love Millcreek Gardens! So many varieties. It was a feast for the eyes, and the soul, to walk through.
I was helped by Cristof and Matisse - both were so kind and went out of their way to assist me. Incredible customer service in a day when customer service is sadly lacking at many businesses.
    Thanks, Millcreek Gardens!

By far the best place to buy bagged garden dirt! There is a wide variety. After looking at all of the samples of dirt and deciding what you want, you take a card, tell them how many bags you are buying, pay for them, then drive to the loading area and some very friendly (and strong) guys load it in your car. It couldn’t be easier.

The employees were very helpful and went above and beyond to help me with my task of finding a plant for my terrarium. The store is very beautiful, especially in summer, and they have everything a garden could need. 10/10
