Kudos to ERIC
My Maytag washer that I bought in 1980 -yeah one of the good old ones, had sprung a leak at the drum hose.
The gal called me back to let me know a technician would be here to assess my damage. When Eric arrived he was very friendly courteous and professional. Great sense of humor.
He called me later that afternoon and told me he had my parts and that he could come first thing in the morning if that was OK. I told him yes that was no problem. I’m home all day. When Eric arrived, my dog thought her playmate was here. She was so excited to see him. Ha ha ha, we went downstairs to the washer and he removed the hose showing me that there was also a hole in the metal part that comes out of my drum. That was not a good sign, but what could I expect out of a 44-year-old Maytag washer right? anyway Eric removed the hose and put the new hose and new clamps on and the leak stopped. So hopefully I can get another 20 years out of it. It will probably last longer than I will. Ha ha.
I want to give Eric a great big shout out and HUGS for being such an Awesome man, even though he is currently dealing with hardships in his family he still maintains his friendly upbeat and positive attitude in life.
Prayers to you and your family, Eric.
I would highly recommend Quality Appliance to all of my friends and family -
I have used Quality Appliance for many years and they are always professional and friendly, helpful and efficient, Knowledgeable and communicate very well. We ran a service business for 35 years and this company treats their customers very well. Robert is very good at what he does and uses his time effectively. I highly recommend this company.

Great service. Only company I could find to work on Big Chill ranges. Robert is super nice, makes fast work out of diagnostics and was very communicative. Save there number for when you need them most!

Robert was so fast and friendly! I really appreciate his help to fix my icemaker. My family also uses this company. We highly recommend Quality!

Amazing service and resolution! Levi was very knowledgeable and knew the issue right away with our Bosch microwave oven. He came back the next day with the new part. I will be calling them again if I have any appliance problems!

Eric and Adam came and diagnosed the fault in our refrigerator, gave us a repair plan, and replaced the parts to get us back up and running. Their quality work allowed us to keep our refrigerator rather than replacing it with the new versions with their seemingly built in fail mechanisms. If you need appliance repair be sure to ask for Eric and Adam from Quality Appliance Service.

I would avoid doing business with this company. (I know they have lots of 5-star reviews here...but check out their 2-star average on Yelp.)
EDIT: The company responded to my review below. Their response seems to focus on (1) defending the technician's age / experience level, and (2) defending the recommendation to just get another new part, then jabbing at me with "We are sorry that the part you purchased was defective." Regarding #1, my original review already stated that "I have nothing against the fact that he was younger and didn't appear to have much experience...". That was never the issue. Regarding #2, I followed their recommendation after Leonard left and ordered YET ANOTHER replacement part. Installed it and the issue still remains. This confirms that Leonard's diagnosis was incorrect and was going to waste our time and money. Which is, of course, what I told him while he was in our house, not usefully diagnosing anything.
ORIGINAL REVIEW: Our oven was throwing a fairly common error from a faulty part. Looking around on the internet for that error code for the oven model provided a clear cause for the issue (replacing the user interface board). This is not a cheap part (~$400), but there was enough consensus from online sources that I decided to order the part anyway. Unfortunately, the oven threw the same error even with the brand new part, so I decided to schedule a visit from a repair technician.
Quality Appliance Service was easy to schedule, and the friendly tech (Leonard) arrived. I told him about the error code and the symptoms we were experiencing. He listened and explained the exact issue and resolution that my own online research had produced - replace the control panel. I told him I was happy to hear that I wasn't wrong...but that I had just replaced that part with a brand new OEM part yesterday.
At that point, the service took a bad turn. He said that the most likely explanation was that the new part I just received was ALSO faulty. I didn't think that was very likely at all...but I agreed that it was possible. I told him we could try to swap the part out for ANOTHER new one, but that I wasn't really learning anything new from his visit. He then did his best to read the manual for my oven model and interpret the error codes...which again is not what I was paying him to do.
Either way, I asked if it would be possible for us to schedule a return visit with a senior tech (after the 2nd new part arrived so we could eliminate a faulty replacement as the cause of the issue) so that we could get some answers beyond what I was able to discover from my own google search and reading the manual. (I have nothing against the fact that he was younger and didn't appear to have much experience, but I felt it was reasonable for me to ask for a second opinion from someone who could provide a more thorough assessment.)
Unfortunately, he said that wouldn't be possible. The only way I would be able to get someone with more experience to stop by and help evaluate the issue more carefully was if I paid Leonard, who is clearly on the lower end of the experience spectrum, to replace the part at a healthy markup (he quoted me over $700 for the same part). And then if at that point, the repair didn't work, a visit from the senior tech would be possible. So I was prevented from getting the expert service I felt I was paying for because of a silly (in my opinion) policy. No exceptions would be made, despite my best attempts at reasonable negotiation.
I don't blame Leonard. He's not making the rules and was doing the best he could. But there was no wiggle room or reasonableness from the manager he was speaking with to see if there was a way to resolve the situation. So now I'm doing my best to document my negative experience so that future potential customers know about the risk. Most of the reviews here are positive, so it may not matter much. But I'm a very unsatisfied customer whose respectful and reasonable attempts to work toward a solution were NOT reciprocated. -
The power to our dryer wasn’t working snd Adam did a great job at figuring out the problem and solving it quickly! He was in and out in less than 30 mins and now we have a working dryer. Highly reccomend!

Two Stars - Disappointed with Pricing Transparency and Value
I recently hired Quality Appliance Service, SLC, to repair my Samsung Dryer. The repair itself seems to have resolved the issue, which is the only reason I'm giving two stars instead of one.
However, I was genuinely shocked by the final bill. The labor charge felt reasonable, but I believe the cost of the replacement parts was heavily marked up. I did some research afterward and found the exact same available online for a fraction of what I was charged (<$50 vs. price paid of $170).
When dealing with a service company, you expect a reasonable margin, but this felt exploitative. It leaves a bad taste in your mouth when you feel taken advantage of financially, even if the service itself was technically competent.
While the immediate problem is fixed, I will not be using QAS for future repairs, and I would caution others to ask for a detailed quote, including part numbers and costs, before agreeing to any work. -
Quality Appliance was able to send a repairman next day to diagnose our dishwasher. Sam came on time and quickly identified the problem. He came out the very next day with a replacement part and fixed it for us.
Sam also asked if we had trouble with any other appliances. I was able to get some great maintenance advice from him on our refrigerator, our oven and our clothes dryer. I really appreciate the help to keep my stuff running better and avoid future repairs!
Just to give a more realistic follow-up here:
We continued to experience leaks with our Bosch dishwasher and Sam returned several times. We replaced a couple more parts.
We continued to have leaks. Finally my wife and I removed and scrubbed the door seals, let them dry and replaced them.
We haven’t seen any leaks since.
However, I still highly value the Sam’s dedication, response and helpful attitude. -
Quality appliance service was amazing! They came out the day after I called. Robert was friendly and explained everything step-by-step as he was working on it and he was able to fix my fridge for a lot cheaper than it would’ve been to replace it. I would highly recommend this company!
-
I would recommend these people to anyone who needs service on their appliances. They kept me informed on when they were on the way and showed up in the time window given. They were careful in my house and made sure they didn’t leave a mess. Thank you for such great service.
-
Robert is awesome! He came same-day for a broken washing machine. He already had the parts needed with him and fixed it on the spot. We were up and running within the hour! He has come twice before and is so nice every time!
-
Adam and Kaden came through and hooked it and replaced my bespoke samsung panel. Came through with the quickness and replaced it. A+ recommended them. Fast and very easy to work with.
-
I would highly recommend Quality Appliance. They are quick to schedule and get service to your needs. Robert was the repair technician and was awesome! He explained in detail everything from the repair, parts, service. He truly went the extra mile!

Leo, our technician was quick, educated, friendly, and highly knowledgeable about our appliances. He gave us onsite quotes and even went over a few options and recommendations if we needed to replace appliances. I highly recommend Quality Appliance Service.

LONG but you need to read this all...This is undoubtedly the WORST company I've ever had to work with. Don't let the 5 star reviews fool you. Long story short: we were forced to work with them because of the warranty company. They came out at least three times over a year to "work" on our fridge. In the end, we wasted hundreds of dollars that could've gone to a new fridge, were verbally threatened by their office staff, and still had a non-working fridge. If you want details, read on!
Four months after purchase our fridge went warm, so we called our warranty company and they sent us to Quality Appliance. We had to call multiple times, follow up repeatedly, and finally got someone out to diagnose the problem. Then, we had to wait weeks, again with all the followup happening on our side, to get them back out to fix it. The technician who came out was nice enough, but he spent eight hours behind my fridge watching YouTube tutorials for how to fix it. But, it finally seemed to be working, so we didn't complain.
Two months later, the fridge went out again. We lost so much food this time, and were pretty upset that this was happening again. Went through the process, did so much follow up, akd finally got an appointment scheduled. Right before the appointment, Quality Assurance called us and told us they were going to be rescheduling us for a later date, and a later time in the day. That exact date happened to be our anniversary, and anyone with kids knows how much planning you have to do to get a night out. We had planned that evening weeks in advance. My husband told them we would actually just keep the appointment we already had scheduled. In response, they became very angry and told him that we either take the new appointment or they would cancel our claim with the warranty company. They held all the cards, and we had to do it because we'd again been without the fridge working for weeks at this point. The anniversary date was canceled, and we had them over instead.
Six months later, guess what happened again? The fridge went out. Everything warm. We went through this awful process yet again, and actually tried to loop in Samsung this time (who told us that if Quality Appliance had reported to them the other breakdowns, Samsung would be sending us a replacement at that point.. so they screwed us again there!). Within 30 minutes of Samsung putting in the service call, guess who was blowing up my phone wanting to schedule? Good old Quality Appliance! Once they realized we were the same old repeat problem, the communication on their part stopped immediately. Also, they decided at this point they would be charging us an additional $500+ for the required repair.
Finally, beyond fed up, I told them on one of my mamy calls to them that I felt unfortunate to have to be working with them. In response, they canceled our claims with Samsung and the warranty company, and said they refuse to come to our home ever again. I know this sounds dramatic, and you might be thinking I must be leaving out something awful that we did to deserve this treatment. Unfortunately not. This is just the petty, unprofessional way Quality Appliance operates.
In the end we estimate we were out over $2,500 for what should have been a $1,600 refrigerator. I would rather eat the cost of a new appliance than ever work with these people ever again. -
Unqualified and don't value your time. I had their tech come and diagnose my cooktop, which was under warranty. He ordered multiple parts, but because they missed appointments and rescheduled, I was finally able to have the repair transferred to another company. Well, guess what - they ordered all the parts but the one that was needed. This company dragged it for over two months. Another company fixed it in two weeks, including the wait time for the needed part. Save your time and money and hire another company right away.
