Beware of this company. Completely unprofessional conduct. Company arbitrarily changed appointment time to have tree removed without prior notice. We had appointment at 1pm, but crew arrived at 8am. Owner Earl then responded with threats, insults, and abusive language, blaming me for his own miscommunication and mismanagement. Earl continued to berate me via text with aggressive rhetoric. He is an unhinged bully, and you would be wise to avoid doing business with him.

I've not yet had the work done - the removal of two dead trees from my property. I'll add to this review afterwards but I just wanted say that so far I am very impressed with my experience with this business. They called me back promptly when I was arranging for an estimate. The salesman who came to my place and gave me my estimate could not have been more professional and friendly. Very nice guy and he also knew what he's was talking about. He told me he's been in the business for a very long time and it shows in the level of expertise he demonstrates. I was so impressed with his professionalism I decided to go with ptd on the spot and not get any estimates from any other companies. From every indication that I can see, this company is the real deal. Oh, and he was on time and the price he quoted me was very reasonable, even though I didn't get any other quotes just based on internet research they have an excellent price. I will add to this review after the trees are removed and I'm sure I'll have more good things to say. Edit: they did a super job! No complaints of any kind and they get extra points just for taking on the job at this time I guess it was the busy season but I had a hard time getting anyone to even come over for an estimate. They did all the work on time and they were very courteous, friendly and professional. You should go with these guys if you need tree removal or anything else done, you won't be sorry.

"Professional" in the name is exactly what this service is! We had a very large tree removed on November 9, 2023 and the team working in tandem were able to complete the job safely, and rather quickly! With the estimate provided to us was a copy of their insurance certificate and agent. I cannot thank this company enough and so appreciate everything they did!!

They were here ready to get it done! They arrived at 7 am and were loading up their equipment at 815! We had one large stump ground up in the back of our property, and 8-15ft crepe myrtles and 6 very large rose bushes pulled up and removed.
We are so very happy with the work that was done and the care taken to not damage anything and to clean up well afterwards. Definitely would recommend this company!

I needed a large Maple tree and a small, old Cherry tree taken down. My neighbor needed a large Oak tree and a tall Pine tree taken down. Both of us needed 4 Hackberry and 4 Locust trees taken down. Several estimates and PTD had the best price. They sent a good crew out to take care of all this. The crew all worked together, and worked safely. Trees down and debris all hauled away. Really pleased with the job they did, and would highly recommend PTD Tree Services and will call them again if I ever need trees taken down.

TL/DR: Bartlett is a terrific company to work with and I highly recommend them. They are professional, respectful of property, friendly, and safe. And as an added bonus, they are great with curious 3 and 4-year old boys who love trucks, machines, and want to know everything about tree pruning and removal :)

Full review: I used Bartlett for tree removal and pruning a few years ago at the recommendation of a neighbor, and they were my first call when I was looking to have similar work done this fall. It was easy to schedule an appointment for an evaluation of my property, and Ethan Crockett came out and provided a detailed estimate for both the work he recommended and the work I was considering. He pointed out a tree that appeared to be fine when viewed from the house but was actually rotting at the base around the other side, and leaning over a neighbor's shed. We ended up with quite a list and Ethan added considerable value by coming out again and re-grouping the list into prioritized tiers. Once we decided what to move forward with, the appointment was scheduled promptly. We got a reminder call the day before with additional information about arrival time and other preparation guidance.

On the day of the appointment the crew arrived on time, evaluated the condition of the yard, and got to work. They clearly take safety seriously and had cones set up to mark areas where branches would be falling. They perform their work carefully and thoughtfully, unlike other companies I've seen who chop away at trees haphazardly. They were also respectful of my property and any adjoining property that was impacted by the work, and cleaned up thoroughly. But best of all, the crew was really great with my 3 and 4-year old boys, who "supervised" the work all day and peppered the crew with questions and knock-knock jokes. I was thrilled with the work they did, and my boys were over the moon with the whole experience.

They probably won't be the least expensive quote you get, but their customer service, knowledge, high quality of work, professionalism, and safety are totally worth it if those are things you value. 10/10 recommend.

The team of Noah, Tuweh and Ian arrived on time, Friday, March 7, 2025 to begin my scheduled tree service. Noah, who I remembered from a past visit, introduced his current associates. We then discussed the pruning process, with all my concerns answered.
There are 17 trees, Green Giant Arborvitae, on each side of my home. They were planted in 2014, so their height and width reflect that growth timeline. Fortunately, Noah is very tall and trimmed all the branches going upward to create a beautiful natural symmetry appeal. As the sheared branches began falling into piles within the surrounding mulched area, Tuweh and Ian immediately began gathering them for transport to the trunk. Their leaf blower then removed any tiny debris scattered on my driveway or lawn.
After pruning finished on the 1st row of trees, Noah requested I come outside to view them.
He wanted to assure my satisfaction with all aspects of the process before starting the 2nd row. The same concern was expressed upon that final procedure.
Noah and his team were always polite, respectful of my property, very professional,
and delightful to speak with. They absolutely deserve a 5-Star Rating and I recommend them with all sincerity,

I am again writing to thank Bartlett Tree Experts for their fine work when my large Willow Oak had to be cut down due to the storm on April16. Ethan Crockett came out quickly after I called to inspect the damage and make a plan.
The young men working on my tree, Noah, Cole, and Brandon did a wonderful job. They worked hard

Noah and Jack provided excellent, on-time service. They are friendly and skilled.

I had Bartlett Tree Experts come give me an estimate to get rid of 2 silver maples in my backyard. When I received the estimate I was sure it was wrong because it was WAY more than the other 2 estimates I had received. The estimate also had the trees documented as red maples when in fact they are silver maples. I emailed Warner Winthrop (the estimator) back and asked if the estimate was correct because of the price and species, I never heard anything back. The estimate I received from Bartlett was $3,900, the other 2 estimates I received were $1,600 and $1,800. Bartlett’s estimate is more than the other two estimates combined! That’s outrageous! I won’t be calling on them again.

Bartlett came to my house to remove a tree, and another contractor was working on a fence close to their work. I didn't intend for that to happen, but both contractors knew ahead of time. Bartlett worked around the fence crew and removed a tree completely from the property. They were very courteous and picked up another job while they were here. They were great and I'll certainly use them again. Pricing was very fair, and they seemed trustworthy. It's hard to find that these days.

Bartlett has taken care of my property for years. They are friendly and clean. If you are not home when they prune trees you wouldn't know that they were there because they always do a great job cleaning up. I trust them to take care of my trees and other plants. Mitchell our arborist is friendly, on-time and responsive to getting us our quotes quickly. Donna is friendly and gives a check up call after work is completed to make sure you are satisfied.

Bartlett Tree Experts recently did a major job for us on an aging willow oak. They did a superb job in every way. They have cared well for our various trees over the years and are always professional, knowledgeable, and courteous. We recommend this service!

Noah and Jose showed up prompted on time, communicated with us before starting. Our large tree looked amazing when they were finished. Before leaving Noah explained how to care for the tree and answered all of our questions, while Jose was sweeping and cleaning around their work area. Their appearance was clean and professional just like our newly groomed tree. I recommend them as a good company to call.
