Horrible company. They will only come out when they can mow your yard and a neighbors yard. They won’t mow on your schedule and they will lie to you and make excuses about why they can’t mow.

My yard looks amazing every time Jose and the LawnStarter team come out. Even with all this rain they keep their appointment and do a phenomenal job. I highly recommend their services!

Lawnservice is starter company, had one visit and did not show the second service, company expects you to commit to atleast 3 services, and to provide 48 hour notice of any rescheduled appointments, but they in turn disrespect your time as they did me and rescheduled on me 2 times before the initial service then didn't show the second scheduled date, lied that they were coming the next day following and they did not show, then did not show the day after that either, but had the nerve to charge credit card and lied via app that services were complete. Be warned if you are looking for consistent steady lawn care.

The service was really good. The staffs were friendly and informative when I made a phone call to order the service. The app is user friendly, I can easily to trace the progress and order the service I want. The choice of the recurrent service is few. I have a small yard, the biweekly lawn mowing is over the need. I will recommend the service to whom they don't have much time to do the arrangement and need a straightforward service.

My experience with LawnStarter has been excellent. Using their app makes it easy I can schedule my service, cancel my service, I am notified when my lawn has been mowed. Their prices are very reasonable so far nothing but good things to say about these guys..

Every LawnStarter pro I spoke with tried to convince me to sign up with them individually instead of going through LawnStarter. They also apply long grass fees if any part (not most) of the lawn is over 6", even though the fee is not used for anything special (no special tools or equipment, no other precautions taken by the mower). I recommend looking elsewhere for lawn care.

Update: LawnStarter has an exceptional customer support system and empowers their team to do their best to make things right. LawnStarter sent out a third pro to provide me with one last cut for free. While this corrected our balance on the books (the previous mow was essentially the cost of two visits) it was not enough to keep me from cancelling the service. Perhaps new customers should start by talking with LawnStarter customer support, they seem to know who the best pros are.

Update #2 — Two Years Later:
LawnStarter recently responded to my original review and has since contacted me multiple times asking that I update or remove it. As I shared in my previous update, I ended up cancelling the service two years ago and haven’t used them since. I cannot confirm whether the concerns I raised about their Pros were ever addressed, though I hope they were.

What I can say is that I have now received several texts and emails urging me to change or delete my review. Based on the wording of one message, it appears their corporate office noticed the review and is pressuring the local team to resolve it. Until this point, I would have given their customer service very high marks, but this approach has been disappointing.

At this point, caveat emptor. I encourage anyone reading this to focus on recent reviews from current customers, as their experiences will be more relevant to their current operations.

I also hope LawnStarter’s corporate team reconsiders how they handle negative reviews. Encouraging happy customers to share their experiences is far more effective than repeatedly pressuring former customers to revise old ones.

Lawn starter has never made any of the scheduled appointments. Charged me for a September appointment that no one ever showed up for. I tried canceling their services but was told I had to download the app to do so but the app would not allow me to cancel. every appointment was missed or rescheduled without prior notification (or very limited notification). I am currently being harassed by this company to pay an invoice for services that never occurred. I have contacted them several times with valid proof but I guess maybe posting the proof here will be better suited. How was service completed on 10/26 when my back gate was locked. I do not have a front yard big enough to cut, it’s a driveway, garage, and small patch of grass. Furthermore, I coincidentally received a past due invoice on the day the next services were scheduled. I have since reported them to the better business bureau with all of my supporting documentation.

So, that should be the last cutting for the year 2025.

Glenn was super professional and took great care of my lawn. He even removed my solar lights to prevent damage during service.

Excellent service during the summer months. They took care of all my problems to exclude the weed problem I had in the front and back yards. Overall, I would recommend this company to take care of all my lawn services.

Robert did an excellent job cutting a lawn that combined established grass, new grass, and a light hay and compost mix in a seeded area that had not yet sprouted. The equipment he used also collected lots of the fallen leaves from early fall drops. The lawn looks crisp and clean.

Very happy with Hectors service. The yard looks great. We get a lot of leaves and he does solid work. Very happy that LawnStarter has such great people to work with.
