I signed up for solar power with Convert Solar after I got my house. Electric bills during the summer were high because of the AC. I thought about how wanted to make the summer sun help cover for the cost of the AC. My neighbors just had their system installed and put me in touch with Convert Solar. It was incredibly helpful to have and has significantly reduced my electric bill.

We had our system installed in November 2024, operational right before the holidays. Everything, from sales to installation was done with care and professionalism. Any questions we had were answered immediately. We love the system, my husband loves to watch what we produce. We highly recommend Convert Solar.

I have been talking with Convert Solar for over a year before recently deciding to go ahead and install. My sales rep Brian was patient and knowledgeable, walked me through the process, and answered all of my questions. He kept in contact with me periodically (at my request) until I was ready to make the decision to go solar. Install was quick and well done. The tech explained how the system would work once the application was approved and the go ahead to turn on was complete. The solar industry is rife with questionable sales gimmicks but Convert Solar is a reputable company and I would highly recommend talking to them if you are interested in installing.

We live in Blue Ridge Mountains near Ferrum, Virginia (about 2000 ft elevation) and had Convert Solar install a system for us about a year ago to qualify for the energy tax credits before they disappear. We have a 1970s brick ranch type house (about 3200 sq ft) that didn't have a lot of geographic South facing exposure but our garage had some good exposure. Our electric bills started to hit $400-$500 a month in the winter and I always said if I could get solar at a 10-year pay back rate I would do it. We did a grid linked system so we sell back to AEP vs getting an expensive battery set up. The first few months we still had a bill because it was winter when we started up, but then we started producing more then we used and banked the access with AEP . Our bill is now less then $10 per month for the connection fees. We have a Honda Clarity Plug in hybrid car that we charge and a Ford Lightning truck EV that we charge. The only gas we buy is an occasional 7 gallons to fill the Clarity. We have a lot of power outages here on the mountain and now we can use our Ford Lightning for power when the power goes out. Pretty sweet set up. We came on line first of Nov 2024. Jan 2025 was rough! First winter of course no kwhs in the bank. This winter so far we have the meter in reverse -1,514 kWh Recovered and hopefully will keep adding throughout mid December like last year. Monthly Distribution Services $7.96 and Local Consumers Tax $1.50 for a total of $9.46. Since we started banking in March we have consistently averaged about $100 per week worth of power. At $100/week we are right on track for less than a 10-year pay back and the cost of the system also included new 50-year roofing on both the garage and the house. The amazing thing is we are covering are two electric vehicles as well as our heating, cooling and electrical needs.

From beginning to end, the process has been smooth so far! Our solar panels are sleek, beautiful, and blend right into the roof (in my opinion). They have answered all of our questions quickly and efficiently. We are so excited to begin our solar journey! I would recommend this company to everyone! The installers were prompt, communicated efficiently, and worked quickly and well together. There was no down time, and I was amazed at how quickly they were installed! Donn (the salesman) was very knowledgeable, kind, and forthright. He came prepared with all of our information, he allowed me to ask questions until I was satisfied with the answers, and he gave us all of our options while we chose which option worked best for us. He's the best, and xPlore Solar/Convert Solar is blessed to have him working for them!

I was initially referred to Convert by my cousin, an environmental lawyer. He knows his stuff. It took me a bit to reach out but I finally did and am so happy we made the switch. Brian met with us the week we reached out and was very thorough in the information he provided. He made the process itself seamless - not much was required from us beyond the initial meeting. Folks needed to come onto our property for various reasons over the next few weeks (measurements, 311, etc) but Convert managed all of that. Wish I had done it sooner but it was an excellent, easy process and we are immediately seeing benefits from the solar we've generated.

Service AFTER the sale is so critical and where many providers fall down. Not Convert, IMHO. I was not the original homeowner who bought the system and experienced a very serious issue before even the 2nd service anniversary. Convert responded quickly and professionally and took ownership of the issue. The team was good to work with from the back office personnel to the on-site repair/installation management. This 5 star review has been earned by Convert.

Convert did a great job planning, scheduling, and installing my solar system. I was able to work with our regional energy alliance for the Solarize Virginia program to get everything installed before the federal tax credits expired. Convert was on a tight deadline, but completed the work timely and with constant communication about their plans. It was just about as easy as it could be, and I'm very happy with my array.

My solar installation has performed as advertised and provided a solid return. It also looks great on my property. Some warranty issues have occurred but were covered at no cost as they should have been.

We learned a lot about solar energy from the Convert representative. He was very patient taking us step by step through the process of converting our home to solar energy. The installation was a very smooth process. He made sure that we were able to receive our REC payments and our income tax break. Now our power bill is $8.92 per month and we couldn't be happier.

So I had convert solar consult and install panels on my house about 4 years ago. There were lots of solar companies knocking on doors and I realized that they were all using convert as their installers anyway. Convert really did handle everything professionally and the install went smoothly. Theyve done a great job at checking in. I even had a micro inverter go bad on one of the panels. They detected it proactively and called me to schedule a replacement, free of charge. The panels have operated as advertised. Very glad I went with them.

We have used Convert Solar twice & recommend them to anyone who wants solar!! We priced other companies and they were up to 3x more expensive. Convert Solar came in, did their work, cleaned up after themselves and were oug in a few days. Buh-Bye electric bills ! 3 years later, When we wanted batteries (our power goes out frequently) we went back to Convert Solar and it was the same great service & work we expected. Thankful for them every day !! ❤️❤️❤️

They installed my solar panels a couple years ago and were fantastic! Installation was done in a single day, and it was a very clean installation with all the conduits well concealed. Not a single issue with the roof, panels, or anything else with the installation since then. Very highly recommend!

Great company start to finish. Just got my first electric bill post installation and it was $9!! Quick installation, exactly as quoted both in cost and timing. Also, their price was cheaper then other major companies for the same product. I would recommend every time.

We, like many, wanted to take advantage of the expiring tax credit before the end of 2025 and made the jump to solar to help lower our rising power bills.

The Convert Solar team was great to work with, and took care of all of the permitting between the power company and our town. We were kept in the loop throughout the entire process. The sales representative even helped us work through some difficulties with a lender so that we could get financing.

The install team did a great job, finished the panel installation within a day, and were glad to answer questions I had during the install.

We are already seeing reductions in our electric bills, and while we are currently paying more overall between the power company and the financing, we are able to absorb the cost for now. Within a year, our monthly payments should be well under our average monthly electric bill, and as electricity costs rise, we expect to see our costs stay relatively low in comparison.

Convert Solar evaluated, explained, designed and installed solar panels on our roof to our delight. The installation went smoothly. The panels have operated as designed resulting in very low power bills (power company fees only). Convert was one of the lowest cost providers we evaluated for this project. We highly recommend using their services if you are considering installing solar panels.
