Alex was great to work with. I called him, he came out a day or two later and scoped out the project. He emailed the proposal later that night. We hashed out a few details and came to an agreement.
I made the initial payment to Alex, used to buy the materials that have a long lead time and also to start the work for permitting the changes. The permit applications were submitted a day or two later, and then we waited ~6 weeks for another company to get our power disconnected so Alex and his teammate could rewire everything from the street to a new panel.Alex was a great communicator. For example, on Thursday he predicted that our power would be restored on Friday at 1:30pm. I asked him to text me at 10:30am on Friday with an updated estimate. He texted me at 10:28am with the update.
Ultimately, the bulk of the work was upgrading us from 100A service to 200A service, including:
• Running new service wires from the power lines to our house.
• Installing a new mast, to receive the new wires from the power lines
• Installing new grounding rods, and routing them appropriately
• A new meter, and outdoor panel with service disconnect
• A new panel
• A new car charger outlet
• 2 new 120v outlets, interior and exterior -

Great work, highly professional, and at a fair price. Timely and detailed communication throughout the process.
I did electrical panel replacement, adding an extra circuit, and generator inlet installation.
Everything was done swiftly, with attention to detail, and the project passed city inspection right away. Great job! -

This company worked on my rental property. First tells me he worked on three outlets and tells me it was a issue with WiFi outlets. Now he says he didn’t touch my outlets. Will not provide Paperwork showing what he did. I live across the country so I couldn’t be there in person. Yes the problem was fixed but will not give me paperwork showing what he did. Very unprofessional.

I would not recommend this buisness to anyone. What kind of professional does not run a diagnostic or even try to fix the problem? All I said was I never had an issue using a heating fan in any house. The electrician said in out of here? What kind of buisness are you providing? I do not recommend this service to anyone.

I contacted this company for an estimate to install ceiling fans in 25-foot vaulted ceilings. The response I received indicated that I would need to provide scaffolding. I pointed out that I thought it was strange that they didn’t provide their own equipment, and said I didn’t have scaffolding just lying around. His reply was to say “we’ll pass on the job.” I then wrote a Yelp review about my experience, focusing on the fact that the customer is required to provide basic equipment. The owner wrote a very unprofessional reply, in which he called me a “liar,” and “sad.” He said that he had told me to contact a scaffolding company (not true,) and that my contractor was “afraid” to do the job (also not true). I think his behavior is very unprofessional and I wouldn’t recommend working with them.

Was tasked by home warranty company for a rental property we just took over management for and was quick and efficient. Easy to work with and the best communication over other electricians.

Illuminate Contracting LLC was sent to our home to by our warranty company to assess malfunctioning bathroom fans. They removed one fan and assessed it was undersized and recommended we request an upgrade package from our warranty company and pay the difference. They placed the existing fan back in place. They could not get the second fan down from the ceiling but advised the same regarding an upgrade. We took them up on the recommendation to request an upgrade, but during this process discovered Illuminate had invoiced the warranty company for about $400 worth of work - claiming they replaced one of the fans, which is not true. I called Illuminate and spoke to Robert who insists I am lying, but would not provide the invoice showing the work was done because "we are not the customer, the warranty company is." It is our word against theirs and we'd have to pay more money to have another company come out to prove who is correct. Honestly, Robert accused me of trying to get something out of this, but there truly is nothing for me to gain. Our warranty plan does not include an upgrade option, so we are going to have to get these upgraded on our own anyways. I am just frustrated with the lack of honesty.

Bathroom fan replacement The folks at Illuminate Contracting LLC responded within hours to my service request. They sent a series of text messages to me asking for the make, model number, and a few pics of my bathroom fan. They diagnosed the problem and was out within 3 days to replace the old motor. The tech, James, arrived early, he was very kind, cordial, professional and prompt. He even threw in a new fan vent cover. I will look to Illuminate for all my future electrical needs.
