Terry has done beautiful work for me and has been a delight to work with. He has handled every little change we made to our to our project with grace and professionalism. I will absolutely hire him again in the future.

Terry started a deck resurfacing for us. Never showed up when promised. Always needed more money. The work he did do, showed us he had no idea what he was doing. Ended up taking $9050 from us. But he sure had a line that made you believe he was honest and trustworthy. But he definitely is the opposite. After stealing $9050 from us I hope his conscience is eating him alive. Wonderful, Just wonderful..

Had them help me finish some work on my duplex that I knew was outside of my wheelhouse. Got a quote shortly after calling and had them fit me in between some larger jobs. Kept my timeline on track.

The stairs that lead to our basement are more than likely the original set from the 50s. They were falling apart and were increasingly less safe to walk down. Brett and William came out to inspect the staircase. My wife and I originally thought we might need to replace the entire staircase, but they suggested a reinforcement (so we could keep the original wood). The carpenters arrived on time and got the job done ahead of schedule (also at a much lower rate than the initial quote). Can't recommend this company enough. Kind, professional, and quick. I will turn to them again for my next project!

Not what we were expecting. I couldn’t begin to list all the items that were unsatisfactory but the team stopped responding to my messages. I guess our final “punch list” had too many items that still needed to be addressed to meet our level of satisfaction. The cabinets were boxed assemblies from some Chinese manufacturer. They didn’t quite fit. The deodorizers in the the tilt out garbage stopped working a couple of weeks after they were installed. The paint is already peeling. The list goes on.
We do love the tile backsplash. There just doesn’t seem to have been enough planning with all the sub contractors. Electrical box placement caused problems. Plumbing fixture placement caused cosmetic issues.

Hired Compass to do a bathroom remodel, they were quick to respond and come out to take a look at our project and give an estimate. Even though there were a few bumps along the way, they did a great job resolving and completing the project for a reasonable cost. If you are in the Milwaukee area, we recommend giving Compass a call.

I hired Compass for almost a complete renovation of half of a duplex in the Milwaukee Area. They installed all new flooring, windows, countertops, bathroom remodels, lighting and paint throughout. Brett came out for the estimate and was very friendly and personable and William was the GC of the job and always kept me in the loop with pictures and progress. Would recommend if looking for a remodel job.

We finished our basement in a 100+ year old home that required a lot of creative solutions to problems. They were amazing from start to finish and we couldn’t be happier. Always quick to respond and attentive to our needs, questions and concerns. Very respectful of our budget too. Best of all, every Compass employee that came into our home was courteous and friendly. Can’t recommend them highly enough.

We hired Compass MKE to install hardwood floors, move a doorway into the office, and some drywalling & finishing. They were quick in coordinating the tradespeople and made sure their work was aligned with our vision & budget. The work is high quality and we had confidence with them. The project took a little longer to complete than expected.

My wife and I hired Compass Construction to wrap all of our fascia boards, replace our soffits and install new gutters on our house. Customer service was great from pre-construction all the way to post-construction. The Compass Construction team was always easy to get ahold of when questions arose and their onsite crews were very professional. I would highly recommend Compass Construction for your next home remodel.

I had the opportunity to use Compass Construction recently. The experience was amazing. I work with a lot of contractors for my job and it is such a relieve to have contractors show up on time ready to work, that act and look professional. They are the easiest company to work with and they did an amazing job. Everything they touched turned out wonderfully.

Compass just finished renovating the main bathroom in our home. We are satisfied with how it turned out and most of our interactions throughout the process with the workers in our home were positive. However, my husband and I agree that we would neither hire Compass again nor recommend them to any friends/family. We planned our remodel with Compass 5 months before demolition to mitigate any procurement or scheduling issues. Although there were no surprises within our walls, renovating our 6.5 x 8 foot bathroom (quoted as a 6-8 week project) took over 16 weeks to complete.

Communication was inconsistent - we routinely asked for updates and for a run down of who would be in our house and when; we got a response sometimes, with accurate information sometimes. Their schedule was in a constant state of flux: some days we would expect workers and no one would show, there were other days when we received unannounced visits. After they completed the demo, we waited a full 5 weeks (with no almost no other work done) for a Compass to find a plumber for our project - something we had wrongfully assumed they had a plan for prior to demo.

Compass employees/contractors made mistakes which we (as homeowners) had to both call out to Compass and propose a solution for: taking things from our house that we asked them not to, installing a shower floor that doesn't slope/drain properly, holes punched into 2 different adjacent rooms, doing all grouting with dirty shoes on thus making the grout itself dirty, etc. The real frustration point for us was that our questions and concerns were received by our main POC William with attitude, like we were burdening him with unreasonable requests.

If you're looking for average work done on someone else's timetable - go ahead and hire Compass. If you want quality work, consistent communication, and a trusted partner to complete your home renovation cleanly & promptly - we suggest you keep looking.

Compass Construction recently completed a very challenging balcony renovation project at our four story condominium complex. They made sure the work was done properly. They worked seamlessly with 11 different owners to fit different schedules.

Compass Construction designed and built me a custom greenhouse (technically solarium since it's adjacent to the house) in Milwaukee. Per my preferences, Compass did my project fully by the book including seeking out multiple permits and managing any project changes coming from the permit reviewers with the County. The work included grading, a thick concrete pour, framing carpentry, windows/doors/through-wall fans, wiring, and an electric service upgrade to 200 amp. The breadth of the work shows just some of the breadth of what Compass is capable of within their on-staff team as well as among carefully selected business partners. These folks were extremely professional and they know their stuff, but when they haven't seen a given challenge in the past, they will do significant research to ensure they'll deliver a great product. This design and build required a good amount of research and unusual logistics, and they brought great ideas and options for how to manage them. Compass will be my first call for ANY future projects, and I recommend the same for you no matter what construction or remodeling you need.

Compass completed a nearly full gut job on the upstairs of our 100 yr old bungalow, converting our house from a duplex to a single family. The lead carpenter and sub contractors were all awesome to work with and we couldn't be happier with the end result.

Where they excel: professionalism, quality of work, excellent subcontractors, transparent communication, transparent costs.

Where they could improve: echoing some comments below, closure of the project and finishing the final punch list stretched out weeks beyond our projected completion date.

All in all, would I hire them again? Most definitely yes!

They were respectful of our budget, flexible with timing, and transparent with what was being done. The team always kept us updated on when they would arrive, which was extremely helpful with my work schedule. They provided quality work, included us in each phase, and ensured we were satisfied throughout the project. We hope to work with them again for future projects!
