The process of signing the contract and payment was very convenient using their link to electronic bank transfer and e-signing. The staff was very responsive to questions and explaining how solar works. They very tidily installed our panels in 2 1/2 days. They informed us of when MOA would do an inspection. Our Chugach Electric bill shows very clearly how much energy we used and generated. We’re very happy with this project.

I was so impressed by AK Solar's customer service. I was encouraged to ask questions, and when I did, the answers came quickly and were comprehensive and accessible. Construction was quick, safe and organized. We're very happy with our 14-panel residential system.

5mo's from start to finish, first est was incorrect, panels got swapped with another brand, little to no communication with no follow up.
Update- After reading my review the owner reached out to talk. Bottom line a lot of what happened was out of Alaska Solars control. However, communication was not. Reviewers should know that Ben was receptive to feedback and sounded like he would be implementing changes to improve the process.

Ak Solar staff worked hard to solve the issues with the solalr hardware on my roof and some issues using Starlink. It took some time, but all is well and I appreciate their efforts and their professionalism. Making solar power is a great thing!

Anchorage Solar is great. Period.
There estimates for different systems, attention to detail, and on-site planning and work could not have been better. I am so very glad to have made the decision to have gone solar and to have chosen Anchorage Solar for our installation.

Anchorage Solar installed my 7.8 kw system in the late fall of 2016. The system has worked flawlessly since then and makes enough electricity to power my home and electric car. Quality workmanship and great price, gets a 5 star everytime.

We had talked about solar for a few years and finally took the plunge - Alaska Solar could not of been a better choice / Chase discussed it with us first / Nick came to the house to show us the detailed plan they had come up with / Josh and his crew did the install and Sandra came and made all the electrical connections. Passed muni inspection and Chugach flipped the switch the same day. Could not of gone smoother - everyone was professional and knew what they were doing. They took care of dealing with the muni & Chugach - all we had to do was write the check - could not of gone smoother - very satisfied

Ben May of Anchorage Solar was a great guy to work with. He's honest, dependable, and enthusiastic about solar energy. I was really excited that he handled the whole permit process with the Muni and the utility company and copied us on the emails back and forth to them so we knew where we were in the process as well. I am excited to be generating our own power and am happy that we chose Ben to install it for us.

We were Alaska Solar's first Homer, AK. customer. At this time we are 3 years plus running with little to no issues. And, producing more power than I had expected. I was, and am, impressed with AK Solar's responsiveness, and knowledge of solar systems. They aren't shy about advising a customer, and installing the system to highest quality possible standards. Also, the AK Solar owner, when we first started in particular, was very committed to community education about solar and renewables. This has proved to be hugely helpful for the growth of solar energy in the Homer area, esp. in the past 3 years.

Alaska Solar did a great job on my 28 panel installation in Eagle River. Very smooth process including permitting. It was a great feeling seeing my summer electric bills have nothing due on them.

I chose Anchorage Solar to install my system last summer and have contracted with them to install more panels this year. Ben came out to do a site evaluation before we made any decisions, so I knew exactly what to expect in terms of power production and costs of installation. When it was time to install the panels, they were fast and professional. I live in a valley that gets much less direct sun than Anchorage but with the new panels that are going in this year, between the panels and conservation of energy, I hope to achieve net zero electrical consumption from the grid. The system comes with a program that allows me to monitor energy production, so I know that with 8 panels, in summer on a sunny day I produce about 6 times what I consume. I sell what I don't use to MEA.

Great experience working with Alaska Solar, from start to finish, always responsive, informative and professional. Plus they had the best price with equivalent or better hardware (out of three bids), so a great value as well. I also have the confidence that they will be around if any issues pop up in the next few years, unlikely but nice to have the peace of mind.

Anchorage Solar is fast, efficient, very professional, very knowledgeable, very price competitive, have great product, and all around nice guys and gals. I had 16 panels installed in the spring of 2019 and like them so much, I had 5 more installed 6 weeks later.

I highly recommend these guys and love watching my electric bill go to zero all summer long. Also loved doing my taxes this year and see the big tax deduction I get.

because our roof surfaces were poorly oriented for optimal production, we had AK Solar Power do a ground mount. the extra cost of the installation has been justified by power production that exceeded estimates. We are really pleased with the quality of the equipment and installation as well as the customer service. We strongly recommend AK Solar Power to anyone thinking of adding this sort of system

The customer service I received with Anchorage Solar was VERY good from the owner, installers and office staff. They all communicate well which is something I appreciate since I also work in the private sector and make customer service a priority. There may be a bit of a lag time on getting everything installed due to their work load to include final inspection from the Muni and commissioning by Chugach Electric so be prepared for that. I am very happy with the install and now enjoying the kWh production which I am able to monitor on an app with my phone. There is also a tax credit so do it now!

My new metal roof was being installed by another contractor and installation timeline was behind schedule. Anchorage Solar was flexible and began work within a few days of metal roof completion.

They were very professional, adhered to their proposed timeline and kept the job site clean of debris. This 38 panel/11.4 KWH project looks terrific and functions perfectly.

After final inspection and utility approval, they installed a monitoring system that allows me to monitor my energy production 24/7 from anywhere in the world.
