Your Energy Solutions is a great contractor from start to finish. I had some special requirements to include RFI (Radio Frequency Interference) ferrite chokes and they worked perfectly. Y.E.S. Kept me informed regarding progress with city permits and PG&E interconnect approval. Most importantly, they installed a high quality solar system in one day. THANKS Y.E.S.

Once you sign a contract with them they stop responding. After multiple emails and call they responded but delayed the install. After installing they forgot about getting the permits signed off and I paid a PGE Bill from my pocket for a month until I woke them up. Their install itself was good. After installing there is no support or customer service, and you can forget they will respond. if my system goes down I guess bye bye and I will have to find someone else to fix it. It's obvious they are not equipped to handle the work they take on.

Frankie Eivas went above and beyond to help us better understand our solar and battery system, as well as our PG&E bill. He was extremely knowledgeable and took the time to explain everything clearly, ensuring we fully understood our usage and how it impacts our bills. He also provided valuable guidance on how we can optimize our system to save on future PG&E costs.

Solar is confusing, expensive and the industry has a trust issue. YES was very patient, helpful and professional. I can be a demanding customer which is why I dropped one star, only because the roofers (installing posts for racking system) were not as clean or professional as I encountered with the rest of the team, and because there was a moment during our project where I was not able to get a status response for a couple of weeks. All in all though I am very happy with YES and the project, despite these minor hiccups.

This review is long overdue. We got our panels since 2016 and It took me a while searching for the perfect solar installer for our 9kW system. I reached out to the big names at that time like Solarcity, Peterson-Dean, Sungevity etc but none of them could provide me the technical details I'm looking for since they're all level 1 sales rep with barely any technical knowledge. They don't even know how net metering works and how pg&e will be billing us once we have our system. But Jim, the owner of YES answered every single questions I have. Even provide me detailed technical calculations. Turns out for pg&e, if you're in ToU, you sell to pg&e at the rate you're supposed to be charged when you're producing which is awesome because we sell at peak rate (up to ~40 cents) but buy at non-peak rate (as low as ~15 cents) so technically if your energy consumption is 15kW, you don't have to install 15kW unit if you just want $0 bill because of the sell high buy low advantage.
After the install, we found out that some panels that were added last minute (by my request) were underperforming and even tho it's not entirely their fault, Jim compensated some of the loss from that panel. And 2 years ago, after our electrical panel caught fire, his team was very responsive and even helped with the recovery process at no cost. I've been recommending them to all my friends and I'm really glad to see that they're doing well.

I love this company for their professional services, customer service responses and getting the job done correctly. I had 2 micro inverters not reporting. Enphase determined that I also need a new modem too. Original Company was not installing solar panels anymore. Called over 7 companies that Enphase recommended and never get a call back. Finally the eight company (Your Energy Solutions) on the list answered my call, then connect with Enphase. Determine the problem and schedule a service time. Need to have a second visit due to a need replace one more micro inverters. They did not leave until all system are reporting correctly. After over 2 months it is finally working 100%. For one set fee $799, they replace the modem that need to be connected to my main electrical panel and replaced two micro inverters. (2 visits) Great job and I recommend this company for your solar panel problem needs. People answered my calls and service my needs.

I received many solar quotes and decided to go with a local company, YES. They weren’t the cheapest, but I’m happy with the overall install.

Chris Korbus was the sales rep that helped me with the quote. Very responsive at the beginning, until contract was signed, no response afterwards, strange.

The overall install wasn’t perfect, installer broke two of my roof tiles, but they came back to fix it at a later date.

I would definitely recommend YES to anyone looking to go solar in the bay area. Make sure you get Celeste as your project manager! :)

Project was the addition of a secondary Powerwall storage unit. Project was completed as per the schedule and the result was positive. No issues after two weeks of use.

My experience with Your Energy Solutions is very good. I would recommend them for anyone looking to go solar. Their panels are top quality and their prices are nearly half of competitors. Installation took one day, and their staff is very responsive. My system has been up and running for a few months now, and everything works as expected.

I’ve had a great experience with YES. They were professional, organized, and responsive at every step of the process including dealing with my city and utility bureaucracy. They have competent program managers and on the ground crew. Definitely recommended!

I have been trying since December 2024 to get warranty service on my solar panels that were installed by YES in 2016. I have gone into the office once and called to speak to 2 or 3 different people, and left two voicemails, and NOTHING has happened. To be fair, the original installation went great, but trying to get warranty repairs completed have just completely stalled.
The install, I would consider 5 stars, but for warranty, I would only give ONE star.

YES did an amazing job with our solar panels. They did the install super quick and had great pricing. The system works great. They communicated well throughout the whole process. I'm so glad I didn't go with Tesla Solar.

Everyone was very friendly during the contract and installation phase. I had a multi-tier NEM system installed with battery. I was told by the sales person that I could get support after the installation with how to best use the system. I have not had success getting a response from them. Zero Communication. One agent said I have to call them, but they don't do outgoing calls. So no callbacks. Feels like a black hole once the system is installed, no support or contact. If you want any customer service look elsewhere.

After talking to several companies to install a Tesla Wall Connector Gen 3, Your Energy Solutions was selected because of the expert knowledge, detailed explanations and helpfulness of the salesperson Franki Eivas. He arranged for the CAD plan drawing to be done and submitted to the City for inspection. The entire length of 6-gauge wiring was contained inside a metal conduit which was ran from the electrical panel through the attic and connect to the Tesla Wall Connector. Most of other companies do not run conduit all the way. The installation passed the City inspection.
Another outstanding salesperson, John Darling, has has expert knowledge about solar panels installation and was very helpful.

Your Energy Solutions is a great company to work with on solar panel installation and EV home charger installation. Their pricing is competitive. Franki and John are highly recommended also.

I have to say working with this company went extremely well. We did have a few bumps in the road to the finish line but they were taken care of. The workers were wonderful, very polite and did a great job on the installation. I would highly recommend this company to anyone who is interested in Installing a Solar system.

I finally got the Solar installed and running with YES in April 2025 after many challenges. Their main challenge was the communication where I would have to follow up with them several times to find out the status or get some documents from them. My home is in a HOA which is very strict with the permits and the poor communication from YES made it more difficult and delayed the installation and increased frustration.

The only thing that gives me some hope is just before the final install, I sent them an email listing the challenges I faced and I received an email apologizing saying they are going through a transitional period and a promise that things will be better going forward.

I have invested a good amount for the solar panels and battery and am keeping my fingers crossed hoping nothing goes wrong with repair/maintenance and/or warranty and if I run into any issues, I am able to get some help from them.
