Constraction reviews in Pembroke Pines, Florida

Reading all of the recent reviews, it makes me wonder why I was handed the losing draw with this company (after all the good reviews at that time, which is why I decided to go with them). Things started out fine, with Natasha being upfront, offering suggestions, and keeping things moving along, in the beginning. Then slowly, things began to slow down. The project was large, redesign a pool, remove a cement patio and replace it with travertine. Granted that the summer of '23 was brutally hot, but it just seemed like things were dragging. I began to notice some of the work that looked like it wasn't thoroughly done. Example, we agreed to slope the deck to the sides so that any rainwater would not accumulate by the slide back door. I was told it was OK. Then the amount of sand and filler that was going under the travertine didn't seem to be enough, and it looked off. Questioning this seemed like I was insulting them. Really? Spending the amount of money I did, you would think that 1) More attention to detail would be done and 2) To be more understanding of why the customer is questioning things. Then there was a concern about a wall that needed more rebar and "staples" to ensure that it would hold. Miscommunication on Johnathan's part (and him mainly denying it) regarding cost didn't sit well with me. The project finished about one month behind schedule (September 2023). And do you think the crew did a good job of cleaning up? NO! Sharp pieces of old concrete in my yard, old rebar, cut tile, and a lot of other material that should've been picked up. Then, not three months later, already issues with sinking travertine, uneven tile around the skimmer, cracked tiles, hollow sections under the tile, etc. Yes, I get it that movement takes place and there is settling, but going back to my concern of HOW it was laid and filled before it was laid, there you go. Yes, they came out and took care of the issues. A few months later, more of the same with cracked tiles and gaps under the tile (hollow). Also, corners of the pool deck were too pointy, which was a concern when my son's friends would come over. Back out again and took care of those issues. Enter the rainy season. And low and behold, water accumulating by the patio door, along with other sections "pooling" water. No, not flowing to the sides as agreed upon when discussing the layout. After two months of waiting for Alex to get back and look at it, along with George and Johnathan, that work was done. I even asked Johnathan what tool they use to lift the tiles out to add sand underneath. His response, I do not know. What, you are in this business, and you can't even tell me that? Recently, I noticed yet another cracked tile, a tile no longer set, and sloping more than it was designed to. Johnathan stated he can no longer come out. WOW! I really got stabbed in the back with this company's quality of work. Telling Johnathan how I felt clearly made things worse for me when the first issues came up after three months, as he probably just wanted me to "go away" while still having his crew come out and just do enough to keep me quiet. Sure, the pool deck looks nice, the pool looks nice, and we get compliments on it. Fine, but they do not know how poorly the workmanship is. So, to those of you that got lucky and have had no issues, I wish I could be in that group. If you decide to use this company, you need to be on top of EVERY detail. Question EVERYTHING, even if they give you an attitude. I was constantly checking during the construction phase, but maybe they grew tired of me and just flat out didn't care how it turned out. It was obvious Johnathan cared little about how I felt (he really disliked me because I was upset after the first issues appeared and how I felt about that). You are an owner that needs better skills to manage upset clients when the fault lies with you. Three times over a span of one year to come out and resolve issues that were preventable. Unacceptable!! If it weren't for Natasha, it would've been a one-star review.

I recently had the pleasure of working with Jonathan and his team for a paver renovation on my driveway, and I couldn't be more impressed. From start to finish their team demonstrated exceptional communication and professionalism. They worked closely with the City of Hollywood to ensure that the process was expedited smoothly, which was greatly appreciated. The final result is incredible with craftsmanship that even drew praise from the permit officer. If you're looking for a company that delivers top-notch work and seamless service, I highly recommend using them!

I recently purchased a house with a neglected swamp like pool. I contracted Discount pool and patio for the pool renovation. They did an amazing work. I m happy I choose to work with them. From get go, I felt I am in good hands, These guys are just spot on professionals. Their estimate was reasonable, and everything was timely organized, and taken care of effortlessly, Natasha at the main office always kept me informed, their workers are friendly and professionals, always cleaned after them self and kept things ready for the next step. The whole process was took about a week to finish. Jonathan the owner is super friendly and personal and always cared and supervised the overall work.

This review is just for the pool cleaning service. My pool is really messed up because renos did not maintain the chemicals properly. There was multiple times where they said they cleaned the pool but it wasn't cleaned at all. I tested the last couple of times they came by and they left my pool water unstablized so I had to do a huge chlorine treatment. The pool service is a scam and they don't actually clean or maintain the pool.

They do fantastic work. Their staff invest effort and energy to make sure filters are clean, pool is brushed and vacuumed and the water is crystal clear. Also good to know that they repair and replace any of the components should they go bad.
