Using the latest technology, Alex efficiently located the troublesome underground leak to our water faucet located on our dock, confirmed the diagnosis, called the American Leak office and scheduled the repair team for this Friday. I couldn’t be more pleased! Pleasant and professional, Alex is THE GUY! Thanks Alex!

Came out very quickly and found the source of my leak. Best part, no holes were made in my wall! Alex was a great technician

Alex was dispatched to Slate in Hallandale beach. Our company ,Watterson , was called to dry out a unit with water in foyer and hallway. We could not find the source of the leak. I recommended calling a professional. Alex carefully checked the drains in the bathroom., laundry and AC area. he used a flexible camera and found the leak, Ac drain tube.Saved a lot of headaches and a lot of money. Definitely recommend American detection of South Florida!

I called American Leak Detection around noon on December 2, 2021 and ask for a technician to help detect a slow leak our meter was showing. They explained that it would be an additional fee of $150 if they came after 4pm, but they had a tech in Weston (I live in Davie) and if he finished on time she would get him to me early enough to avoid the $150 after hours fee. I expressed my gratitude and was happy to get a call from my gate at 3:28pm announcing the arrival of American Leak Detection. It took Milton, the technician 5 minutes to find the leak because he stepped on the wet ground just 3 feet from the main line water meter. He then told me it was $500, and I told him that I thought we avoided the extra $150 because he arrived before 4pm, he stated it was 3pm. I paid him and called the office when they were open and they confirmed that the after hours fee was for after 4pm. I explained that I was overcharged and that I have a log from my community gate entrance that Milton arrived at 3:28pm. I was told they would look into it. I called two more times, the last time I explained that I was going to dispute the transaction with my bank and the lady said she would talk to her manager. That was almost two weeks ago. I was forced to file a dispute with my credit card company yesterday. Although expensive, this could have been a five star review had they handled the finances properly because they did send a technician quickly and they did find the leak, but their blatant disregard with the $150 over charge is inexcusable considering I have solid proof of my gate log and the fact that Milton looked me in the face and lied by saying the after hours fee started at 3pm.

They are wonderful. They are efficient and knowledgeable. Highly recommend. Will be using them from now on and recommending them.
They quoted me to come out to find leak and it took longer than expected, alot longer but they found the leak and they were able to fix it themselves and didn't charge extra and stuck to their original quote. Amazing company and our tech Charlie we loved as he was so knowledgeable, easy to talk and wonderful personality. You won't be disappointed with them, i promise. We've used other leak company's in past and now we are here to stay with them from now on.

American Leak Detection

I'm extremely unimpressed and unhappy with American Leak Detection. I am not a business competitor. I had never heard of this company until I had a leak in the slab of my house. This is a national chain.

The good:
The technician arrived on time and the fee charged was the same as was quoted. The technician was pleasant.

The bad:
The technician diagnosed a leak in the cold water line under the house slab. However, he was wrong. The leak was in the hot water line in a different location under the house concrete slab. I have learned it is extremely simple to decide between a hot water leak and a cold water leak, by simply turning off the inflow of water to the hot water heater and seeing if the water meter at the street is still spinning. If the water inflow to the hot water heater is off and the leak continues this would mean a cold water leak. If the leak stops it represents a hot water leak. This should be child's play. The American Leak Detection technician missed this and diagnosed a cold water leak. Using his equipment he traced the water lines, he was confident of the leak spot, however wrong. What he did identify where the pipes to the back wall of the bathroom sink (the sink is on the other side of the wall). Again the real leak was in a hot water line which was 10 feet away from where he identified the bad pipe. From my perspective this is a COMPLETE FAIL. This would be a F on homework and should be 0 stars. When I contacted American Leak Detection, I was transferred to a manager, who said they would investigate and their supervisor would get back to me. I have had no call back in over a week. Also, they did not offer to refund my money for their failure to do a simple job which is the only thing they do.

Good afternoon. Today Mr Devondro Hite from American Leak Detection came to examined our unit to see the damages that was incured , based on our Condo Roof Replacement leak. Mr Hite was very Knowledgeable about my Conerns and gave a Clear explanation of what he was here for. He was Friendly, and Professional, and should be Considered an Asset to your Company.

Alejandro came by about a week or so ago to a 2 story building in Little Havana and found the leak in no time. Did a great job.

My pool was leaking.
I called them and in 1week I had my pool repaired. Very responsive company with excellent people and tools to detect effectively the leaks.
Alex worked on my case and we did an excellent job!

Hired American Leak Detection to come out and repair a leak they found in our bathroom. Adam and Jose did a fantastic job! Not only were they quick but they made sure to communicate with me throughout the whole process.

The work was done very clean with minimal damage to the walls while they made their repairs.

Will definitely use American Leak Detection again and ask for Adam or Jose if you want a job done right the first time!

American Leak Detection is excellent in detecting and repairing water leaks. I had a water leak in my kitchen. Several plumbers attempted to find the "slab leak" but failed.

Jose Estrella, highly knowledgeable and gracious, came in, and within 20 mins he detected the leak under the foundation-slab without further destruction of my home.

The customer service representative Ms. Diane was very good reassuring that the leak will be detected and thereafter, scheduled the repair immediately.

Highly recommend! We hired them to do a pool inspection on the home we are buying. Since we were under the inspection period they scheduled an inspection within the same week we called. Alex was our specialist and he was so thorough! The inspection took about 2 hours and he was able to tell us on-site what to expect in the detailed report. Luckily, no major issues to report but we were so pleased with their work and professionalism! They take payment after the inspection on-site which was very easy. Can’t recommend enough and ask for Alex!

AVOID!!! I had Excessive Mainline water usage. Called American Leak Detectors. Explained what i already knew and they were anxious to come right out! Tech Dan blows gas -water-whatever into very small area near meter box and tree and put a flag on area where there is no pipe line whatsoever!!! Aside from this failure to detect legitimately-he puts flag on fake spot. Dan belly ached about the drizzle, had no rain gear, barely checked my inside-allergic to kittens/was here half hour, used my toilet. ..supposed to be 2 hrs. For fake service and excessive money. $550. My Plumbing company says ALD are know for this. Scammers! RUN.

Alex the technician was an absolute gentleman. He was very thorough and found my leak and repaired the leak. Alex is a very professional and knowledgeable technician. I would use American Leak again for any type leak problem.

He was on time, not only respectful but also personable; working patiently, diligently, & thoroughly, to identify the source of the leak. While I recognize that is his job, I applaud his approach, & his passion for what he does. Thank you Devondro!

The technician Alex Nacher was professional and kept me informed what he was doing and where the problems probably comes from. He is going to set up another appointment for some pipes behind a wall in garage has need to be corrected.
