I've been meaning to write this review for quite some time but I'm on "new mom time". Before I had my baby I had Ecogenie come out to clean my vents (July 2017). I am so happy I rushed them over to do so before baby came home. What a difference since then. Air comes out great and it doesn't seem so stuffy in the winter. Crew was great! Very friendly and worked proficiently. Will use again!

Not impressed by this company, at all. If you’re not willing to spend $800 for an apartment deep clean - don’t bother. The price of their deep cleaning is $200 per hour for 5 men, but they will not service you if you have a specified timeframe you’d like the job completed by. We have a 1,100 square foot, newly renovated condo unit with two bathrooms that needed a good cleaning prior to selling. We specified that, as we are moving and the condo is in excellent condition, we would like to use Ecogenie’s service for 2 hours with their men focusing solely on three rooms - the kitchen and two bathrooms, then moving on to any other areas they could reach within the home, if possible. We honestly did not care about the remainder of the unit being cleaned as it is cleaned regularly, we were simply seeking a deep cleaning of the kitchen and bathrooms for the next owner’s peace of mind within those personal spaces. We were told Ecogenie could not guarantee that FIVE able-bodied men could adequately clean two condominium bathrooms and a kitchen within two hours …. even after explaining that those three rooms were all we were focused on. The person we spoke with would not honor the 2 hour timeframe (at a cost of $400) we gave for just those three rooms … the response we received was “maybe we aren’t the right company for you”, twice. There is no telling how much you will pay for a deep clean as they give a 2 to 4 hour timeframe and refuse to provide timing estimates. While I know cleanliness differs from family to family, I would think any well-operated company sending a unit of five men to anyone’s home (or condo in this case) would have at least a slight inkling as to how much time three small rooms would need. Instead of trying to work with us, we were basically dismissed as a measly $400, three room cleaning “isn’t worth their time.” If you’d like to utilize their services, expect to spend the $800 total (not including tips) at roughly $40/hour per man. No, they will not decrease the size of the team to accommodate smaller places, they will not work with you on formulating a proper plan of action to fit your needs, they will not guarantee the quality of their work if you ask for a cleaning in any time under four hours, no matter how many rooms. Sketchy and, agreed, not a good fit for our needs.

They checked all the boxes. On time, amazing job, workaholic crew. Cleaned vents, deep clean and carpets. My son and wife bought a 1974 home that appeared nice but was never really clean! Now, WOW!!!

All I can say is that this cleaning company is #1 for me! As you can see I don't write very many reviews but if you're looking for a cleaning crew after a remodeling job or before you move into your house check these guys out. They can clean everything from the duct work to the dust off the ceilings, windows, carpets, baseboards , everything is clean like you'll probably never see again, I'm telling you even the corners inside the windows and floors are clean. VERY good company to work with and the owner is right there on top of it as well. I'd recommend these guys to anyone who's looking for a Chicago cleaning company if you want your house to be move in ready condition!

The team from ecogenie did a great job for me! I bought a house that hadn't been lived in for 4-5 years so it was in rough shape! They came and really did an excellent job cleaning it up top to bottom! They were all very respectful and dependable and great to work with. Nice job Ecogenie team! This company was awesome to work with! Rich and his crew are an excellent team. I hired them to clean the carpeting in my office. It hadn't been cleaned in almost 10 years. Stains were lifted, carpet looks noticeably cleaner, and the office smells better. Rich sent four of his guys-two fathers, and their two sons. They were all so professional, arrived on time, and were a real pleasure to work with. I would highly recommend this company!

We had Ecogenie come out to our new place and do a duct and deep clean (including carpets) before our furniture arrived - late July of 2019. I picked Ecogenie because of the 5 star rating on Yelp and Google.

To be honest, I have to admit I was a little suspicious of the rating since ~99% of all ratings are, at best, about 4.5 stars. I was also suspicious that they wouldn't live up to the hype and my wife's very high standards of cleanliness - she has fired 3 different cleaning companies (after giving each several tries to get it right) in the last 5 years. I was pleasantly surprised when my wife later excitedly called me and told me that this crew was awesome and thanked my for picking such a thoroughly good company for the deep clean. She told me that the crew actually went through and cleaned each of the crystals in the the chandelier, dusted the window sills without being asked, moved out the fridge to clean behind it, etc.

Prior to them coming out, I had several conversations with Rich at Ecogenie, which were very good and he assured me that that would do whatever it took to make us happy. They arrived on time (important!), and had all the right equipment in their van. I'm not talking about your standard department store equipment, but they had real industrial strength/sized equipment for duct cleaning, carpet cleaning, a gas power air compressor which they had in the back yard, etc. It was impressive. They put on shoe covers and there was no damage to the house when they finished. The carpets took a bit more than 24 hours to dry, and was helped with some dehumidifiers we had.

I would say that they definitely lived up to their promise and their 5 star rating and would not hesitate to use them again in the future.

EcoGenie is your all-in-one deep cleaning solution for your home. I hired them for the first time since I needed air duct and whole house cleaning. I almost went for two different companies until I came across EcoGenie. They did a fantastic job and you can see (and feel) the difference after a whole house cleaning. I want to personally thank Rich, the owner of Ecogenie, and his amazing staff for the work they recently did at my dad’s home in Highland Park. For years, my dad had several cats living in and out of the house, and as someone with asthma and severe allergies to cats and dogs, I couldn’t be inside for more than a minute without getting sick. It broke my heart not to be able to spend time with him indoors—especially now that I have a son of my own.

Recently, my dad hired Rich and his crew to try to eliminate the dander and allergens so I could finally come inside and feel comfortable. Today was the first day we visited after their work—and I’m thrilled to say it’s like a brand new house. I’ve been inside for over an hour and a half with no symptoms. No itchy eyes, no runny nose, no wheezing—just me playing with my son and enjoying time with my dad.

Their work has made a huge difference for my family, and I can’t recommend them highly enough if you need serious, professional home cleaning—especially for allergy-related issues. Rich with Ecogenie is the best! After assessing the building I recently purchased, he explained that I didn't need a duct cleaning and he didn't charge me anything for the on-site consult. I also hired Rich and his team to clean out the dryer vents. They did a fantastic job and now my dryer runs much more efficiently. I highly recommend!

Great job with air duct, dryer vent cleaning, deep cleaning, and steam cleaning carpets. I highly recommend. That dark brown water is what came out of the steam cleaner after cleaning my carpets! Impressive work, and Rich followed up to make sure everything was perfect.

I had great service with Miguel at Air Duct Maintenance Solutions from start to finish! Miguel was incredibly responsive via text (my preferred way to talk during the work day). Miguel and his co-worker showed up on time and got to work right away on the day of our cleaning. We just bought a home from the 50's that had never had an HVAC cleaning so they had their work cut out for them. They did an impressive job. Everything is incredibly clean. I look forward to hiring them again for our next cleaning.

He was super communicative, responding promptly to my inquiry, providing an incredibly fair pricing estimate, and working us into his schedule within 24 hours. When he arrived, he was thorough and efficient, and he explained everything to me clearly throughout the process. As a first-time homeowner, it is so important to me to work with people who take the time to ensure I understand not only how they are solving an issue but help me learn how to properly maintain that aspect of my home, and Miguel absolutely did that.
