Electrical reviews in Hanover, Maryland

I had an "appointment" with a "representative" this past Saturday....she was over an hour late, and was very evasive when asked about cost and who pays. The service was referred as "free/paid for by the government" by a coworker. I know nothing is free in the USA, so I did my research. The .gov sites warned about these programs and shared info about payments through property liens or power purchase agreements (a lease). The shady rep requested my utility bill - without explaining why she needs them, she assumed that I would give them to her without more information. I did not provide them because I was given zero information about costs. She kept saying "we'll get to that after." After what? Shouldn't you give the customer all the information before requesting any private documents? And why isn't the cost the first thing on the agenda? When I told her I don't want to go ahead without discussing costs/payment, she said it was time for her to go. What does that tell you? Also, when I asked her which government program pays the cost, she insisted she would send me that information in an email. What? Isn't this your business? You don't know the name of the program? Absolutely shady. She says she's a Christian, but charlatan is more like it.

The job took 2 days and the men were all very polite to me and my family. They put on little booties when they entered the house so they would not dirty the floor. The work done in the attic was neat and organized. The foreman on the job did a good job keeping everything going without problems. I would recommend Trinity to anyone who can except solar panels. It was also very easy working with Mike Rosato the salesman. He made the whole process easy to understand and was always available when I needed to talk to him. Thanks Ralph

The salesman at Trinity Solar was very knowledgeable and respectful. He had a great attitude and seemed to enjoy what he was doing. The installation crew came to my home, with a great attitude and ready to work. They installed the solar panels and the electric system professionally and explained the process at every step. I especially would like to thank the crew leader and the crew for their great work, for a job well done. Bandon Brooks, James Hatcher, George Simmons and Leon Hanna...Great job gents!

From sales to installation to operation, they made it easy and understandable. Our salesman, Paul Beall, was a treat to deal with, explaining everything - financing, installation, operation and incentives - carefully and completely. The paperwork they provided for the incentives was already filled out except for our info. Very easy indeed.

Rude & disrespectful --
About a week ago a door-to-door salesman from Trinity knocked on my door and gave me a canned speech that my roof was a great candidate for a free solar panel installation funded by federal and state incentives – given that there were no trees and plenty of sun. I was also asked what my monthly electricity bill was and receiving a shocked reaction, I was told that I was well over the minimum monthly bill requirement. I had a bunch of questions for this salesman, but he couldn’t really answer them – he said that I should defer all those questions to their solar engineer, should I accept his consultation. After some consideration, I accepted his offer, and we were on the phone scheduling the appointment. While on the phone with the scheduler, I was told to make sure I had all my electricity bills to share with the engineer – which I spent some time digging up and printing out. A few hours before the appointment that I set time aside for and did homework for, Trinity calls me to tell me that they had to cancel my appointment because my house didn’t qualify and muttered something about tree coverage and roof size.
So not only do they send unknowledgeable people to shill their product, but they have an utter disrespect for you as a customer. I’d have been OK with the on-site consultation that they offered, and perhaps later revealing why my house wouldn’t qualify – but here they are borderline harassing me for a consultation that *they* desperately wanted, only to toss me aside like a piece of meat when it suits them, without so much as an explanation why they would go through the trouble of scheduling first, then figuring out if I'm qualified later and then cancelling on me.
Avoid at all costs – given all these red flags in customer service, one can only imagine how bad they are if you actually “qualify” for their solar panels. -
Our experience could not have been any better, The sales rep that initially came out for a "sales call" remained involved with the project all the way up to completion. Even after the installation was complete he remained in contact to ensure we were satisfied even a month after he's "job" was done. Far too often do sales people sell a job and then vanish. I think our reps name was Troy, and the only reason I don't remember was because I just got a request to write a review and i think we have had solar panels for over a year. I know there are many companies in the solar market now, but I encourage you too go to these guys first. Don't waste your time with anyone else. I wish I had time to write a two page review about the entire experience and how simply amazed my wife and I were. I truly feel that satisfied and I almost never write reviews, certainly not anywhere close to this long. Oh, and we have 5 small children that constantly interrupted our meeting and he never once showed signs of frustration as many other companies had. He was like their Uncle and he just met them. Go Solar, and Go with Trinity!

The WORST company!!! They are responsive at first but once they install the panels you will NEVER be able to get in touch with them again. I have had many issues with the panels and there is NO ONE to help you. They sent some inexperienced worker to install the panels and caused a leak on my roof and they will not admit it, Awful customer service, they lady her name was Maureen she needs to be fired she acts like i owe her money and was so rude on the phone no response to my many e-mails and incredibly difficult to get someone on the phone that can help with anything, if you go with them be prepared to get a leaking roof with it.

I had a wonderful experience working with Terry and his team. Even when we did not qualify Terry worked with us and stayed in touch with us until we did qualify. The savings we’ve experienced has been awesome. We appreciate Trinity Solar and the personal touch Terry put into making our transition painless and profitable. Thank you Terry and your Trinity solar team.

I like the idea of capturing energy from the sun for many reasons. This is free energy (once you pay for the equipment which is not cheap). It is clean energy. It is not as reliable as I have found out only a year and a few months into my installation. I don't know if it's the technology or just the sheer lack of knowledge of a company who claims to be premier or experienced.
My solar energy stopped producing after entering the second year of having this trash installed on my brand new roof. It went unnoticed for over 6 months. I didn't notice immediately because weather changes, credits skew the bill, usage in the house changed because of changes in occupants, and budget billing won't tell you, either.
I contact Trinity Solar about the issue, it took them weeks to come look at my system. They found a failed component that was the culprit, but they didn't even tell me that until I inquired. They finally resolved the issue in about a month or two. It is currently working, but....
I had been making electricity payments for all those months my solar was NOT producing. These were the sunniest months of the year, not to mention the longest days of sunlight. I checked with the electric company, and all they could tell me was that the weather is unpredictable, and that many cloudy days prevented the solar panels from collecting so much. Okay, that sounds legit. Besides, they are the electric company, not the solar company.
Meanwhile, I was making payments on the loan I was required to take out for such an expensive and waste of equipment. When Trinity approached me about installing these panels, they told me that I would basically be spending the same on solar panels per month as I was (at that time) spending money on electricity. Well, it turns out I am paying about twice as much.
So, my next battle is reimbursement almost a year after the system stopped producing. I have to continuously request a status of the ticket I had opened on this issue. I been working with a nice lady in customer service; however, she is not in a position to be able to authorize any compensation. She has informed me that the higher management is not willing to compensate for the cost of lost energy as a result of the malfunction. I don’t really care about that. I just want to be reimbursed for the monthly payments I made for an oversized paperweight on my roof.
I may be in the market for a lawyer soon. I also might need to bring this story to the media. They love this sort of stuff. -
I worked with Terry to design and install my system. It was a very smooth process. Any questions I had were answered promptly. Twice I had to contact the office, and I was able to speak with someone immediately and my issue resolved. It's been a year since installation, and the system is working beautifully!

Terry was great!!! He answered all of our questions and concerns. He walked us through the process and let us know what to expect. This was a great experience for us and we are saving money with the solar panels! We would highly recommend Trinity Solar Panels to anyone interested in making this beneficial conversion. Make sure you ask for Terry Collins to assist you. You won't be disappointed 😊

We had a great experience with Trinity Solar! The salesman was wonderful and informative! He was not pushy and let us decide in our own time if we wanted to go solar! Once we got the go ahead, Trinity Solar was calling right away to set up and install date. Everything went quick and smooth. We recieved a call after everything was installed from our awesome salesman, Thomas Hafer. He wanted to check on us to see if we were happy and to make sure we had no other questions. I also had called customer service at another date and had no problem getting my problem solved. I definitely do and have recommended this company!

Trinity Solar shines brighter than the sun with their outstanding service and top-quality products! From start to finish, their team dazzled me with their professionalism and expertise, guiding me through the process with ease. Their solar panels not only harness the power of the sun but also reflect their commitment to excellence. I highly recommend them to anyone looking to go green!

Trinity Solar was one of the best companies to work with. Tom introduced himself and was willing to come back later the same evening to explain the process and product to both me and my husband. They took care of the entire process of paperwork and permits. The installation crew was very professional and the follow up was great. Very good experience all the way around.

Terry Collins was an absolute stellar sales person in the purchase of our solar panels. He answered all of our questions, including providing the pros and cons of purchasing financing through Sunnova at a 1.9% interest rate and outright purchase via cash sale and the warranty benefits difference. To this day he has been exceptionally responsive to any questions we have had and it’s been over 2 years since the purchase of our solar panels. I had and continue to have an excellent experience with Trinity Solar Energy.

They installed my solar system, and during installation, there were a few incidents that they assured me would be repaired, as part of our contract. I was in touch with a customer service agent named Jennifer, and after multiple calls, she asked me to obtain a repair quote and send it through sales agent Ndema. I sent the quote as requested, but Jennifer then stopped responding. Despite my repeated calls and a voicemail, I received no response. I reported the issue to Sunnova, the company I originally signed the contract with, but they claimed that Trinity Solar had addressed the damage, which is untrue—they did nothing. A word of caution: be careful when dealing with Sunnova and Trinity Solar.

I scheduled an in-home estimate about 7 days before. They sent a few texts to confirm the appointment a few hours before the appointment. 8 minutes after my appointment time, I get a call from Trinity Solar. The gentleman on the phone informed me a salesman will not be coming. The reason is my roof is not big enough. I live in a single family home with full sun in the morning an evening. I asked him how many panels needed to be installed to be big enough, and he said he did not know. I know at least 10 3'x5' panels can be installed because of another estimate. I guess anyone in a town home will not have enough roof space for Trinity to install panels. I also asked him why did his company wait until 8 minutes after the appointment time to inform me they were not interested in doing business with me, and he did not know. Why did you wait 7 days to see if my roof qualified?
Its my opinion, if Trinity Solar could not make money off me, or not see a profit off their sale by selling me solar panels, how do they expect me to save money? Sometimes there is a 10 year return on investment till I start generating energy for free, but I will not know because the salesman will not be coming. -
A salesperson knocked on my door. I told him I have two signs outside that say "No soliciting." He LIED and said he wasn't a solicitor, and then I looked up your company based on the logo on his shirt. He's selling solar panel shares. I WILL NEVER RENT SOLAR PANELS. PLEASE stop sending person after person to knock on my door.
-
Door to door salesmans ignored no trespassing / no soliciting signs. When advised via door bell cam we don't take solicitations he said he wasn't a solicitor and continued on with his sale pitch. He said he would come back in a few days, when asked not to and advised him there was no trespassing signs he advised he made 2 million dollars last year trespassing and it was his company. Terrance Harewood was the name on his badge and said he was the owner of the company when I requsted company information to file a complaint.
-
Teach your sales people to read and RESPECT No Soliciting signs. This dude showed up while I was eating dinner, and tried to be a smartass when I pointed out the No Soliciting sign. Great way to guarantee I will never use this business, even if I am ever remotely interested in solar panels.

We got the system installed at the end of 2024. It began working March 2025. Solar works as it should. Last week (july 2025), we noticed a leak from one of the panels into our living room. Called them and left a voicemail as it was after hours. We got a call scheduling a visit from a tech before they even opened that day! Then the tech showed up as scheduled and it took about 1 hour for him to do the work.
TL;DR - Responsible customer service team and tech quickly resolved a leak caused by their installation.
