Terrible experience. They refused to provide even a rough estimate over the phone for a simple job—removing a light fixture—then tried to charge me $365 once the technician arrived. The actual work took less than two minutes. Completely unreasonable pricing and a lack of transparency. I would not recommend.

Totally ripoff!!! Expensive, very bad service, poor manners. I waste the $85 service fee for 5 minutes of nothing....the estimate to fix one outlet was ridiculous. I will not recommend this provider. I finally got the outlet repaired by another electrician who charged me $160 versus the $665 that this company wanted to charge me.

I called this electrician to inspect a fault in my Tesla Wall Connector that reported a high temperature warning. The guy spent more time using my bathroom than understanding the problem.

The technician charged $85 just for showing up but had no clear understanding of what the issue might be. He did not perform any meaningful diagnostics, nor did he reference Tesla’s installation guidelines or investigate common causes like conductor sizing or terminal torque.

Incompetent technician and service. Not recommended.

Not to my expectations

Sometimes busy, but worth waiting for. They really know their way around these old victorian houses around Newton and have come up with good solutions for some of our most challenging problems. Also, just pleasant to work with.

Great experience! They are very responsive and do great work. We got an estimate the same day as they come to see the job. Then they got to work super quickly. Finished on time and did a great job. Highly recommended!

Extremely happy with our service. Wayne was out quick to check out the problem and was in constant communication till the work was done. The job was completed quickly and done well. I will definitely be calling them again for more work.

Came home from ski vacation to find no heat and only some electric outlets/lights working. Wayne was at the house in less than an hour, diagnosed and clearly explained the issue. He couldn’t immediately fix the issue but did a quick workaround to get our heat running.

Transparent and very fair pricing. I had three other electricians come by to assess and provide a quote and they all either wanted to upsell me on things I didn't actually need or rip me off. Ralphies answered all of my questions without a hint of annoyance or impatience. Everyone I spoke with throughout the process was also friendly and generally nice to deal with.

We highly suggest Ralphies Electric. They came out within the week, provided a quote within two days, and did PERFECT work. We had everything from an outside outlet replaced to new recessed lighting installed. The job was done well and they were very clean about it all. We would use them again for sure!

Solid vendor. Went the extra distance when the scheduled tech was not available when we had a tight time window. They were very responsive for the initial estimate, which was reasonable. And delivered. One tip: they like to send estimates via text, so make sure the number you provide accepts texts.

Ralphies Electrical is one of the few remaining companies that actually cares about its reputation and products. A father and son operated business that focuses on the customer, rather than their bottom line. When it came time to refinish a room in our basement i called their #, Wayne (the son) answered all my questions and assured me they would take care of everything. A few days later Brad (the dad) came to the house and immediately began working. His skill set is apparent right from the start. He's been doing this work for over 30 years and is up to date on all current electrical requirements as well as being one of the most kindest humans I've ever met. He is a genuinely nice man with a great personality and he cares about the quality of his work. He worked alongside the other contractor's for our project as of they were a part of his organization and treated everyone he met with courtesy and respect. Brad made our experience a pleasant experience. Something i can't say about most contractors. The work was done without delay or complications and they were extremely patient while we waited some for the other contractors to finish their work so Brad could do the finishing work on his end. Their prices were very reasonable ( i received several quotes that were twice what Ralphies quoted me) I would hire Ralphies Electric again without hesitation and i won't even bother to look for another electrical company. Well done guys.
