Not only have I called the company for 5 working days now. I've been told by a number of workers that they will be out here any day. This is my 7th time calling, and I've never been called back. They were supposed to be there yesterday, and the day before that, oh and the day before that. Highly unprofessional. I do not recommend this company by any means just by the customer service I have received and the rudeness over the phone.The woman I had spoken with yesterday must be a millionaire because the way she was speaking to me seemed she didn't need another dollar from anyone. Being a small business owner myself I personally know that word of mouth goes very far, and this company is not worth the headache.

Called to get an estimate on roof replacement- my first call should have warned me but I gave the benefit of doubt. The person taking the call, very non professional, the person that was suppose to submit the estimate to me- never submitted. I called to follow up to see if I could expect the estimate, again, very non professional on the call, and guess what, I was told would have the estimate that day- It never showed. Its a business like this that gives the bad name for contractors.

Shakedown artists. I had them out to certify chimneys on some properties. They stated they can't certify them until certain things are corrected.
I had the items corrected by a professional at half the price of their estimates. When i called them back and informed them the work is done and I would like them to come back and inspect so I can obtain the certificate, I was told they will not certify the chimney if they did not do the work.
I spoke with Charles, the owner, and explained if the work is done properly and the chimney is in working order, they should be able to certify that.
He stated, "that's how we make our money."
To his credit, at least he's an honest crook.

I have had a problem with water leaking through the clean out if the chimney every time it rained. I called Best Chimney and they looked at the problem and told we it was a foundation problem. Told them to go ahead and fix the issue. They repaired the issue but the problem still existed. They then said it was from the foundation up and they had to replace liner and cap. Guess what the issue still existed. Called them for months to get someone out to look at. They finally sent someone out and they said the cap was installed improperly. They fixed that issue but the problem still exists. I have trying to get them to get out here to get to the bottom of the issue for months now and they are constantly dragging there feet. DO NOT DEAL WITH THIS COMPANY PEOPLE

Had an excellent experience ! Crew came out and did my whole roof , tear off included in just a day, no problems. Quick and efficient. I will only use best for anything home improvement wise.

Surprised to see some negative reviews here. My family and I have no complaints at all with Arlo and his crew. We found them to be very professional and respectful toward our property. Moreover, they did a fantastic job with the replacement of my grandfather's chimney too! Well done guys!

Made a deal with me, got up on my roof looked at the job, they took pictures. I said we had a deal, when they came back to do the job they wanted to raise my price another $900.

My parents needed a new garage roof. Called and they came out for an estimate that afternoon and did the job the next day. Quick and efficient. They didn't leave a mess and the roof looks great! Trust Best Chimney and roofing!

I had a engineered shingle roof installed about 6 years ago. During the installation it rained in my house, I thought I was over that after the roof was finished, but the shingles are falling off the whole roof. The insurance company will not cover it because they say it was installed incorrectly. The Nails were above the nail line and in too far. And I have also found out they installed the shingles as if they were 3 tab and not lined up correctly. I now have to have the roof completely stripped and a new one reinstalled at MY COST! I would not suggest having Best Chimney do your roof.

These guys did a great job of replacing 10 rows of brick on the top of my chimney. They were quick, did a nice job of cleaning up and were my lowest bid. They also added a limestone overhang on the top row to make the chimney better than when it was new. I was also impressed that they did not trash my landscaping - not a flower stepped on.

I called two of their references and both raved about them - one was a condo association that has them working pretty much full time during the summer.

Chimney was damaged in a storm and thought last contractor would want to repair it. They were too busy but said they would follow up. A month later, still no follow-up, tried again to have the work done. Still too busy. Same deal, try again a month later, too busy for work...

Terrible job. Your chimney rebuild, done only four years ago, fell apart in a storm. My flue cap is gone, the upper trap is rusted and the mortar holes have left opportunity for Yellowjackets to infiltrate.

$1200 later, I should have a working chimney again.

Charles arrived on time as scheduled for the estimate. But he was a No Call-No Show when scheduled to do the repair. Total waste of my time to wait for him. I do not recommend this place unless you want to sit around and wait for a no call no show.

Had them come out to estimate repairing two fireplace Chimneys and brick replacement around the house and repair of mortar on 3 walls (tuck pointing). They were recommended by a friend that had a chimney repair done. They gave me the price and I told them to go ahead. First they did the tuck point work horribly the mortar on the house is cut back from the face of the brick and all of the mortar work they did is flush with the face of the brick. They didn't pull the steps away and mortared around them (looks absurd). They didn't clean the bricks after tuck pointing and the new brick layer cannot get the mortar off the bricks now. They replaced bricks around a door opening and the mortar gaps are two to three times wider than they should be and to make it look worse the new bricks aren't on the same plane as the old bricks. Had they made the gaps right the brick ends would be flush with each other and on the same plane! They estimated a day's worth of work but only stayed for half a day and told the wife they would return the next week to finish. She paid them for the terrible work they did. I almost lost my mind when I got home and saw what they did. Charles and I were to meet at the house to talk about what had been done wrong but he never showed or called to say he wouldn't make it that day (I took the day off so the wife wouldn't have to deal with them). I called the office but they said they didn't know what to do about this and Charles would call me back that night. He didn't call until the next day and said he wanted to reschedule. I had another company come out to quote the completion. The poor work Best Chimney did will cost a fortune to tear out and repair. So we will have to live with it. End result don't hire these people to do anything for you!

I called to get an estimate on tuck pointing around my house, when arriving,Chris was very hurry up and let’s get this done attitude, we got half way around the house, He told me we are at $3,000, I told him he could stop right there. First of all the estimate was for tuck pointing around my house, not to redo my chimney or a new step along with tuck pointing. Either they thought the job was to small, or I was a dumb women!! That’s the feeling he left me with. Will not recommend this company. Gave two stars because they were quick coming out for the estimate.

I’m unclear as to what this company is “best”at. Site visit was rescheduled three times due to wind however they didn’t even go on the roof when they did arrive. 10 days to receive a quote. I asked that his office set up to be a vendor so I could assign work, they were unable to complete that simple task. Communication is awful!!! May 2nd and I’m back to square one from the site visit that occurred 4/15. Would not recommend for anything!

Best Chimney was great! I needed their services for a city inspection. They were on the ball, did a great job, and were far less expensive than another quote I was given.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! Without trying to write a book about my experience using this company here goes my abbreviated review. I scheduled a chimney inspection on Thursday (11/15/18) for Wednesday 11/21/18. I was told the inspector would call me on Monday to answer any questions and verify the actual time. Monday comes and no call came so I called them. They told me they are waiting to hear from their inspector on the time. I called them back on Tuesday since I still had not heard a word from anyone regarding a time. After expressing my frustration the women (Lisa) said maybe they were not the company for me. I'm screwed at this point because I'm trying to buy a house and was needing to get a chimney inspection completed. So she had their inspector (Chris) call me right after our conversation. He told me around noon he would call on Wednesday (11/21) to let me know if he would be able to make it. Mind you I need to coordinate this through my agent, the seller's agent, and the home owner! Now it's Wednesday at 9:25a Chris calls me and tells me he is on the way. At this point I'm frustrated beyond belief and was expressing my frustration about the whole experience and Chris told me he had better things he could be doing and was not going to come then hung up on me. My wife calls the office back and arranged for another inspector to come out. Fortunately they sent someone else and the inspection was completed.

Which leads me to today 11/28/18. I get a call from their office that Chris is at the house to do the inspection and no one is answering the door. I week later this guy shows up and wants to complete the inspection? I called the office back and let them know the inspection had already been competed the week prior. Disorganized, unprofessional, and terrible customer service!!!!

The only reason I give them 1 star is as far as I'm concerned their one employee Charles was a great person to deal with. Showed when he said, completed the inspection, gave good feed back with recommendations, and showed pictures of what he observed.

My rating of this company is a -10. They are real nice until they get your money. No customer service- you call, they are rude and just take a message and you never hear from anyone again. My chimney is leaking thanks to them, replaced my dampers with inferior parts. It has been two years now and still no call, must be because the part was under warranty and they couldn't charge anything. And the owner Jerry is the rudest of all.

Our township requires inspection of fireplace chimneys prior to sales of homes. Previous owners of my home hired Best Chimney Co. for the professional inspection of fireplace chimney. Charles inspected for a cost of $200 and deemed it clean and free from defects, not needing attention. I am new owner experiencing strong charred smoke smell in my living room (now smell in new couch and carpet) along with clothing. When I had them back out (Charles again) to determine the cause he stated it is coming from the second flue to the basement fireplace which is clogged. This flue is within 12 inches of the one he inspected yet he failed to notice it needed attention. Now I have to spend $3000 to another company to either remove this flue or clean it. This expense would have been on the prior owners had Charles even performed the proper inspection. When I asked him why he didn't notice that this home had two fireplaces, he said he has a checklist and this second fireplace wasn't part of the inspection. Strange that a company hired to inspect a fireplace chimney would only look at one flue and not even mention the other one.

I had a great experience with Tim and Mike. They completed my chimney and everything looks perfect. They completed it in 1 day and made it out a week sooner than expected. I got a great price too. Win, win, win!! Thanks so much to Lisa also for keeping everything flowing. God bless you all.

Had got a few estimates but I wasn’t impressed. Friend of mine told me this company (best Chimney) and she said they were really the best! I called
they were fast to come out and check it out and got the job done just as timely!
I now refer my friends that need chimney repairs done. :)
