I have used Turf Ohio for several years. My lawn used to be all crab grass and weeds. Since using Turf Ohio, my lawn is a carpet of beautiful grass - no weeds and no crab grass. The company notifies you when they will be coming onsite and billing can be managed online. The service is outstanding and I highly recommend them to everyone!

So impressed with our service tech! We have a new puppy and asked him not to treat a few areas so we could keep his house-training areas chemical-free. Our tech walked around the yard with me to identify the areas. He blew off any chemicals that had fallen on our driveway, in effort to reduce contact with our puppy. And I was REALLY IMPRESSED that he picked up a bunch of sticks that had fallen earlier in the morning and placed them neatly by my tree. WOW!

Turf Ohio came out last fall and slice seeded and over cast seeded our lawn, including a lower level that has been very difficult to grow grass, as well as our front yard that in bad shape. This spring they fertilized and put down weed control, and we can't believe how quickly and how well our lawn has taken off, looking so much better than last fall, including both our front yard and our lower level. Our grass is dark green and much thicker than before. They have done worlds better that our last lawn service company. I can highly recommend them to anyone!

This company collected over $1,200 to prepay for the 2025 year. I had a real issue with the Grubs they charged me for the treatment last fall. It was not cheap. The grubs loved what ever they applied, if they applied anything which is doubtful given my damage.
The presedent of Turf Ohio, (Chuck Deirfield) is no where to be found. Reated calls to see where they are to treat my first application is no where to be found. No one answers there phones! I personally visited both locations they show as there place of business: (5990 Wilcox Place Dublin, Ohio) and,
(6490Shire Rings Road, Dublin, Ohio),
All closed up noone there.
My disappointment is large given absolutely no information from them. I presume they sold the business and left me high and dry and out $1,223.47.
I filed a report with the BBB and was told they did not renew their membership for 2025 and have refused and contact. Which means I'm out.
I have filed a report with the Attorney Generals office and hope others are not in this same circumstance.
My rating on this company os 100% negative. appears I got taken big time. Now with spring here I need to quickly find another company to serve me.

I RECEIVED A CALL FROM OPERATIONS MGR. PAUL SAMELUK THIS MORNING ABOUT 9:45 AM. PAUL EXPLAINED WHAT THE CURRENT SITUATION IS WITH TURF OHIO. BECAUSE OF A COMMUNCIATIONS ERROR FROM TURF OHIO AND A BBB DISCUSSION IT WAS BELIEVED THAT THE COMPANY HAD CLOSED THEIR DOORS. PAUL SAMELUK'S CALL TO ME THIS MORNING EXPLAINED WHAT HAD HAPPENED AND ASSURED ME EVERYTHING WAS GOOD WITH TURF OHIO. BASED ON PAST EXPERIENCE I AM CHANGING MY RATINGS TO A (5) STAR RECOMMENDATION. IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS FEEL FREE TO GIVE ME A CALL SINCE I POSTED MY CELL PHONE NUMBER ON THIS SURVEY. THANK YOU AND HAVE A GOOD DAY. -
I am extremely disappointed with the quality of my lawn. When I took care of the lawn myself, we did not have a weed or a moss problem. We also did not have so many dirt patches in it. My lawn looks horrible. I've asked for someone from management to come look at my lawn and they have not done so. I will be canceling their service and do it myself.

They provide less than poor service, have no communication, loyalty or client respect! They care less about making the customer happy and more about making money. If your not wealthy and are seeking ohio turf for yard rehabilitation......don't!!! Because they will treat you like less then dirt until they drop you as a customer!

TurfOhio was sold to Experigreen and service has become terrible. We prepaid TurfOhio for 2025 program and Experigreen is way behind on scheduled visits which they say should be every 4-6 weeks. We are in week 9 and still no visit and imagine the summer stress to the lawn would have benefitted if the treatment was performed on-time.

Not sure what happened but this used to be a great company. The merger has changed that. The last visit they accidentally sprayed my peonies. They are were over
20 years old. All of them are dying. I got some rookie come out to look at them and he wasn't able to provide any help . He called 4 days later to let me know they would give me a $50 credit towards a future treatment since I had prepaid. To replace the peonies with like size would have been between $250-300. Talked to a customer service rep and they were going to pass it on to a manager and never heard back. I asked for my money back so hopefully the check shows up soon. -
I have dealt with Turf Ohio for many years until the recent merger. I felt in the past they did a good job taking care of my lawn. Earlier this spring, I tried to call Turf Ohio numerous times to go over my treatment plan to make sure everything was correct.
No one ever answered the phone. Other times there was continuous music and nothing more. Then I came to realize they had been sold and there was a merger. Of course, there was no information that went to the customers. It seems that this merger has taken a good business and destroyed it.
As far as putting down pre-emergent it is almost too late to do it. A technician came to my house last week and applied to my front and side yard. He totally neglected the backyard and left the property.
I called the office and someone took my information and said the technician would be back next week???? I’m still waiting for the phone call. I’ll be canceling my service. I can no longer recommend this company ……stay away. -
First year with them this year and highly impressed. Just the first application helped bring my yard back from the brink. Crab grass, clover, dandelions and other undesirable plants are gone. And areas that we're barely supporting the grass have bounced back. Well worth the money and so far I'm completely sold on their services.

Second year of service and yard has had nearly no dandelions (maybe a dozen total), no more crab grass, clover or other undesirable plants. Yard has come back fuller than ever. Even my neighbors unkept yard full of weeds isn't affecting mine now. Definitely happy with their service.
My house on left neighbors on the right on last picture. -
The staff is very helpful, the time and attention made my shopping a pleasant experience. I was pleased with the selection and in the future they will be my go to place for items that are associated to garden and nursery centers.

Very nice place.

Went for tomatoes and peppers. Lots of plants and popular species choices. Looking for some heirloom and shrub tomatoes that I couldn't find but did get some plants.
-
The plants section is outstanding, featuring a wide array of excellent varieties. The store is impeccably organized and exceptionally clean.

We went looking for a Christmas tree. A very nice gentleman almost insisted on helping us. He was very knowledgeable and friendly. Great selection. We have always cut ours down in the past but he made it enjoyable and was very helpful. We will be going back there in the future. Christmas Trees are half price as of 12.16.23.

Bought 10 arborvitae from Oakland last fall. One started showing signs of disease. Called to ask about their warranty and they said they wouldn’t honor it because it was a year and a day and their warrant is one year. I spent $1000 on shrubs and they’re not even willing to work with me on one of them because I called after 366 days instead or 365

A nursery is a nursery, right?
Well, yes.
Except Oakland. It's an adventure!
From unique plants to unique gifts they have an amazing assortment of items to browse.
I have been to many dozens of nurseries across Central Ohio and none compare to the experiences I have had at Dublin Oakland.
They even have a friendly, helpful staff. Highly recommended if you are looking for something special. -
Amazing selections. Huge inventory of holiday stuff.
-
I like going to Oakland Nursery and looking at all the pretty flowers... it gets a little crowded and some of the aisles are tight... but the plants are in good shape
-
Wow, what a great store. They have everything you would want for ur garden, yard or house. Visiting with family so couldn't buy anything tho.

This is the coolest greenhouse in all of Columbus! I was lucky enough to visit during their spring open house! Sign-ups for door prizes, special sales, samples, and spin the wheel for freebies for purchases of fifty dollars! So much fun! In addition to plants, lots of gourmet food, wind chimes, personal items such as soaps and lotions, and other gift items. Please continue to have special events and sales! I love to visit here when I'm in the area!
