I've been using Bartlett for under a year but every experience has been excellent. Zach has solved a lot of problems, Kyle suggested solutions to problems that needed attention, the company in general is precisely what I need for many facets of landscape management and care. What a delightful surprise that an international company treats me as though they were a small-town enterprise and I were their only customer!

I have been a customer for over ten years now. Staff members with whom I have worked have been unfailingly polite and pleasant to deal with as well as knowledgeable in their field. Approximately seven years ago, it was a Bartlett staff member who saved my tall arborvitae hedges from certain death through careful analysis of an uncommon disease and then proper treatment of the soil and the hedges, which give me privacy and add considerably to the value of my property.

We used Bartlett’s in 2017 and had a great experience. They were professional, responsive, and did a great job. In spring of 2020, we contacted them to trim some trees and take one out. Someone came out and we had a great discussion, and he said someone would call us in the fall. No one did. By the time we got someone on the phone, they couldn’t come until New Year’s Eve.
When they did come out, they did the tree trim but took out the wrong tree- the one they took was an established rhododendron, instead of the scrub tree that clearly needed to go. They couldn’t do the stump removal because they hadn’t brought the right equipment. That meant another visit, and even then things were done wrong. It’s now been over a year since our original request, and the work STILL isn’t done.
We’ve called at least 20 times, and although the receptionist is friendly and kind, no one ever calls back. I understand that 2020 was a mess, and we’ve been more than understanding. Not only will I not ever use them again, I will warn everyone I know against them. Find someone who might return a phone call.

** update: after I posted this review, I finally heard back. The manager, Brian, did a good job reaching out and seemed honestly apologetic. The work has now been completed, but I did mention to him that it was concerning that it took public comments to make that happen.

Bartlett staff have done very good work for us. They routinely maintain some of our trees and we have been quite happy.

I have had work completed by Bartlett's Tree Experts the last two years. They have trimmed branches that were hanging over my property and have beautifully shaped and trimmed my ornamental Japanese Maple. I appreciate their knowledge and expertise and will continue to work with them in the future!

When my dear friends recently had an event of four trees cut through their home after our recent 2024 ice storm, the event was so catastrophic it made the news. My friends chose Bartlett tree who works well with the restoration company we chose.

The particular removal of felled trees was one of the most advanced operations I've seen in years. Requiring a careful extraction plan, review of plansets, battling even more ice and snow and the issue of getting the cranes into a hazardous area.
Andrew Maze's team not only completed the removal in an expert manner, but the team assisted the neighbors as well.

This is a good, strong team capable of advanced operations. You are safe with Bartlett.

I'll start by saying I never used (and never will use) Bartlett's services. We live in small cul-de-sac, where Barlett trimmed our neighbor's tree. I can't speak to the quality of the actual job they were tasked with, but I can say they left a huge mess, and utilized our property as their supply closet without ever asking.

During the day, the crew left multiple chainsaws and other precarious equipment scattered across our front lawn. This was a huge nuisance as it resulted in our front door being basically blocked-off.

When they finally finished the job, they left the entire street a mess. There was dirt and tree trimmings scattered throughout the street. And wood shavings all over our lawn. I'm not generally a complainer or a confrontational person, but I decided to leave a voicemail expressing my frustrations.

My call was returned the following day from someone senior-sounding within the company. Apparently he had just re-visited the job site the following morning. He explained to me that due to the intensity of the project, the cleaning process was not up to their standards and that the crew would return the following day to remedy the situation by cleaning their mess. I was satisfied and even said that this admirable gesture may have resulted in me using the company's services in the future. Well, no one ever showed up. There's a trail of dirt running down the street and wood shavings covering our lawn.

It baffles me that a company can verbally acknowledge an honest mistake, tell someone they'll fix it, then completely ghost the situation.

I can't speak to other reviews. Maybe they're amazing at trimming trees. Go ahead and hire them! But keep in mind, their clear lack of respect for the property of others may end up pissing some of your neighbors off.

(Side note - another neighbor had used Samsara Tree Care just a few months beforehand, no opinion on their tree-trimming quality either, but they left everything spotlessly clean! May be a better bet.)

We recently had a large amount of tree pruning done by Bartlett Tree Experts. The crew was very knowledgeable and courteous and did an excellent job. They cleaned up beautifully and were very responsive to our questions and feedback when we interacted with them during the job. We would enthusiastically recommend Bartlett !

Fantastic experience with Bartlett Tree Experts. William Tanguay was prompt, skilled, and very thorough. The work was top-notch.

Bartlett came out and did some trimming/pruning on four very large Leyland Cypress trees on our property that we'd just sort of let go wild over the years. The work they did was amazing...the trees look great (and are now trimmed back from the house), and the workers were punctual, courteous, and very knowledgeable. The bid/quote process was very easy, and they took the time to ask questions so they could deliver exactly what we wanted. Very pleased with the work performed, would definitely recommend them to anyone!

Three years ago, we were having a powdery mildew problem in our small family vineyard and Bartlett Tree Experts has been taking care of the grapes for the past two years. We no longer have an issue and now they are also taking care of our orchard.

They did a great job trimming and pruning my Cherry Blossom and Azalea tree. I was very impressed with the clean up they did too. I would highly recommend.

An arborist came out on Monday and said they would have a bid for me by the end of the week. I have a large lot, many trees, and the ability to pay so I’m not sure why the very very very poor service. Three weeks later, and two phone calls to both the arborist and owner, and no response.

Move on. Don’t waste your time like I did.

Amazing experience! I worked with the new location in Olympia, Washington, and they were incredible. Very knowledgeable, extremely helpful and we will definitely hire them again.

Ted and Jesus from Bartlett Tree Experts showed up, worked their butts off, and fixed *all* our tree issues, did a tree removal, and completed a ton of general pruning and cleanup. They were able to take an aspen tree down without disturbing our old, rickety fence … and also crown a couple of problem trees on our property line,

Bartlett Tree Experts began taking care of my trees in 2018. At that time three of the trees were doing very poorly. Today, those trees are thriving. Bartlett now takes care of all my trees and shrubs with annual visits to assess and treat issues as they arise. I am very happy with the helpful and courteous service provided to my by every member of the Bartlett Tree Experts team!

This review is for 2 large poplar removal from a tough spot on our property which were near boundary line and threatened our neighbors property, Jeff Osaki is a true gentleman and honest guy to deal with, he handled our appointment , our appointment execution and tree debris and leftover removal all very very professionally , no pushing , no fake quotes , no sales pitches for next job. Very knowledgeable , great crew , removed the trees without any issues and very competitive pricing . I am very happy with the job and will likely use them again in any other complex tree removal jobs

The crew that took down our dead Port Orford Cedar was excellent. They were both professional and focused on the technical aspects of the job, and were personable and respectful. We particularly appreciated special care in clean-up on our neighbor’s adjacent property.

I would highly recommend Bartlett Tree Service! I needed an assessment done on a 70 year old maple tree that has has some compromise on the root systems and needed to find out what my options were. Ryan Fay was the arborist that came out and did the assessment, he was professional, clear, concise and extremely knowledgable. I also have contacted him a few times with questions regarding his findings and he was always helpful and available. I would not hestitate to contact him again when the need arises! Jess, the person in the office was amazing, she helped me facilitate the appointment and payment quickly and easily. Working with Bartlett has been a wonderful process and I will most definitely use them in the future and I highly recommend using them for anything related to Tree Service!

Bartlett has been our arborist for more than 10 years. Excellent service, highly professional, very responsive. We have 7 Heritage Trees on our property, and Bartlett has been key to maintaining these and all the other trees in our yard.

Bartlett has been out to my home a couple times to do tree care and removal. They have always been on time or early, professional, and have good follow up on everything making sure the work was performed to my satisfaction. Definitely recommend them to others.
