Landscaping reviews in Warwick, Rhode Island

I had some difficulties at first and spoke to a representative. He came out, looked at my lawn and suggested ways for improvement. I am pleased to say they came through and I am greatly appreciative. My lawn is looking much better!

I am definitely displeased with trugreen. I had a few brown spots last year in my lawn and when I called I was told they would send out a technician to analyze the problem. Someone came but told me he didn't know what the problem was as he didn't do lawn treatments. He advised he did mosquito control. This year I called as the lawn was getting worse. They advised I was due for a treatment in 2 weeks and at that time they would have the lawn analyzed. They didn't show up so I had to call again and they said they would be here in another 2 weeks. Someone came and put granulars down but had no clue as to what was going on. A technician never did come but they came to my neighbors house ,for the same problem, and after I asked him to look at my lawn, I was advised the problem was chinch bugs. The people doing my lawn service kept saying that we were mowing to low. This gentleman called his supervisor and was authorized for us to have a free aeration and overfeeding as our side lawn was 95 percent dead and now I had brown spots all over my lawn. I was told this service was to be completed on September 20th. No one showed up. I called and was told they would come on the 24th. Got a message later that day that they were unable to complete my service. I called again and was told they ran out of material. I was upset and advised them that I had some dead lawn that needed to be treated asap. The gentleman advised my treatment would be completed by this weekend. I called today to see when I was scheduled and I was told that I wasn't. I advised the lady that this is the 2nd time I have been canceled and was advised they had a backup and can't overseed after Oct 15. So the previous gentleman lied to me. She said she would send an message to management, same as the previous guy said but I don't believe her. Now I have to try to get someone to be honest and tell me if they are really going to complete this service. If not I obviously only have 2 choices. Try to get my money back that I payed all year so I can pay someone else to do it or maybe call one of the TV stations for help. So much for satisfaction guaranteed.

Very informative technician and knew exactly where my lawn care was in the cycle. I had a few questions and he answered them in terms that I could understand. My neighbor is going to hire TruGreen in the spring because he likes how good our yard looks!

Lou did an amazing job spraying my property for flea & tick today. He didn't miss a bush or a tree. I have had a few different companies treating my property, but Lou did the best job of all! Thank you Lou. See you next time. Bert

Service staff that come are great, the customer service people are kind. I feel bad for them they have to put up with the disgruntled customers. 2 years we had TruGreen, the Company higher ups Mangement have no idea what is going on. We didn't renew our contract , I called, texted, e-mail several times however they still came. We were not suppose to get a bill but did, they were suppose to credit us they didn't got a past due bill, called again hopefully this time it will get done. What ever they put down killed off our lawn again . We tried to keep up it was doing well now dying again an turning yellow. Disappointed an very upset do not cover what we are feeling about this company.

Absolutely horrible, TruGreen gets worse and worse each year. I’ve had true green for a few years now. Each year my lawn looks worse and worse. They can and sprayed for grubs at the beginning of the season. I had dead spots all over my front lawn. I started digging them up and it’s a ton of grubs. I told Trugreen about this and they did nothing for reimbursement. They sent someone out to “ treat it”, which again did nothing. A TruGreen Manager said they would take care of the balance and they never did. Why should I be responsible to pay for a treatment that didn’t work? I actually received a bill in the mail from a debt company for $129.00. I will never use this company again, they’re SCAM artists . Use a different company

I almost never write reviews. In fact, I can count maybe one or two over the past twenty years. Unfortunately, my experience with TruGreen has been so consistently bad that remaining silent would feel dishonest.
From the beginning, my lawn has never looked worse. Treatments that were supposed to improve it appeared to do the opposite—encouraging weeds rather than eliminating them. What made this worse was the complete lack of documentation. Despite repeated requests, I was not provided with service paperwork, emailed reports, or clear explanations of what products were being used. When I asked for both a hard copy and an email, the technician ultimately threw a piece of paper at my door as he left. The office later denied this ever happened. That theme—denial and misrepresentation—became standard practice.
The interactions with representatives and technicians have been consistently disrespectful and misleading. Calls are routed to people who seem either uninformed or deliberately dishonest, saying whatever is necessary to end the conversation. Technicians have claimed services were completed when they were not. In one instance, the technician stayed in the van, left after roughly 90 seconds, and I was still charged for a “completed” service. When questioned, I was told the service had been performed. It had not.
The phone calls are relentless. Despite asking—politely and firmly—at least fifteen times to have my phone number and email removed, the calls and emails continued. In fact, they increased. I began receiving three calls a day, multiple times a week, which is the exact opposite of what I requested. Some voicemails were left with technicians laughing in the background. If I were less angry, it might resemble a poorly written SNL skit. Unfortunately, this is not comedy—it is infuriating.
Many of these calls were not only persistent but hostile. I was cut off mid-sentence, spoken to with attitude, and told I “needed” to provide a new credit card immediately. When I refused—because the balance had already been paid—the call was abruptly disconnected. I was repeatedly told there was “nothing they could do” to stop the calls unless I provided updated credit card information to “reset the system.” That explanation makes no sense, and I was even pressured to pay for services I never received simply to end the agreement early. Then I was told my account could not be updated unless I provided a new credit card. That is unacceptable.
At one point I felt like I might as well hand over my pants and the deed to my house while I was at it. After all, the company had demonstrated nothing but integrity and honesty—except that they hadn’t. What I encountered instead was deception, incompetence, wasted time, wasted money, and shockingly poor customer service. The worst part is the time lost. That cannot be refunded.
This has been an accumulation of issues over the past seven months, and it has reached a boiling point. I do not want my money back. I do not want my lawn fixed. I do not want an apology for the dozens of calls, the lies, or the disrespect. The only thing I want—very clearly—is to never hear from this company again.
If you are a homeowner considering hiring a service so you can reclaim some free time and not worry about your lawn, do not call TruGreen. Trust the feeling in your gut. You will regret it. I did, and I continue to regret it every time I receive yet another call. As unbelievable as it sounds, they are still contacting me to sell additional services and request credit card information.
I will continue to write reviews until this stops.
This is the TruGreen experience in East Providence. -
Zero stars. I work out of the home but have cameras outside my home. Three (3) things are clear: 1) I am NOT getting the chemical treatments they are billing me for, often the lawn goes untreated, 2) Even though my technician is not applying chemicals, he does like to use my lawn as a racetrack and leaves numerous skid marks every time he makes his high speed turns "pretending" to put down chemicals and 3) My technician doesn't even bother faking it on my side and back yard and skips it totally. I have tried to call the local office and listed supervisor many times and there system is set up to make it impossible; you get sent to a random office in the US - there is no way to call the actual office. There is no pride in ownership in this company and specifically, this franchise. Horrible service, ZERO customer service. I can't think of what they could do worse than they already do.
Don't waste your money here. Find a company that does the job right and stands behind their work.
Owner. I have filed several complaints. NONE have even been replied to. You are a poor anonymous business person that hides behind the brand rather than stand in front of your product. -
Stocked and helpful.....

Huge selection of live plants at a good price.

This Home Depot is responsible for making At Home remove their selection of rugs, patio furniture, and outdoor garden supplies.
-
It's always great for all your outdoor goodies. Although it's a little understocked at this time of the year. It's better to visit in the early spring or summer months if you want the full experience.

Going by the great reviews posted on Google, I decided to call Ethan, as I needed to replace the current landsscaper I had. I am sure glad I did. Ethan and his team are grear. So far, I have only used the snow removal services, and I am very pleased. He comes on time, and does an excellent job. He even called me regarding special concerns about an up-coming blizzard. I am sure the lawn service will be just as outstanding. He is one of the increasingly rare individuals who takes pride in his work, and personally reaches out to his customers to make sure they are well served. Kudos to Ethan and his team. I am very glad I called him!
Addendum ~ I just had my initial session for lawn care with Ethan and met him and his crew in person for the first time. As with snow removal, the work was excellent, thorough and professional. Ethan gave me excellent advice and is a pleasure with whom to work. I was also very impressed that his crew wore all the proper safety equipment. Would never go any where else. TWO THUMBS UP! -

If you're looking.
for the best, you have found them. Meticulous and attention to detail doesn't begin to describe them. They're simply above and beyond the competition.
