Neal Jones, the owner, came out to our house and told us our attic was too difficult for his current team, which I appreciate. I have gotten the run around from other less experienced companies. I appreciate Neal Jones' expertise and advise. I would recommend him as a trustworthy option to any of my friends and neighbors.

By far best home improvement for any home. I was just going to add new insulation myself and decided to get a few quotes on radiant barrier. Had a couple companies come out, they took quick look in attic we talked for maybe 5 minutes, gave me quote and gone. I set up appointment with Neal showed him attic and was expecting same thing, here’s your price see you later. Totally opposite, first thing he told me was he’ll come get me when he’s done in attic. About 10 minutes later he finally comes down, we walk the outside of the house he’s showing me soffit vents, roof vents, what their purpose is etc. We go back inside he shows me sample of material which I’ve seen pictures of but was skeptical of strength and durability, after all it just looks like a foil tarp. Boy was I surprised, this stuff is strong, did a few rip test to show me difference in material he uses vs. some of the others. Then he shows me demo of heat transfer, again completely surprised at how much heat it blocks. Neal was here for at least half hour if not longer went over his product, what he recommended I do. Complete opposite of other guys who were in and out within 5-10 minutes. The installation process went smoothly both days, cleaned up after they were done, couldn’t even tell they were here. Usually the upstairs ac runs most of the evening into the night, it was at temp and off by 7 ish. Every day I walk upstairs I’m surprised, just thinking it going to be hot or ac running non stop. I should have done this years ago. Not only did you explain your product extremely well, make recommendations as to what you would and would not do, your price was better than competitions. Thank you Neal for all your help and expertise.

I worked with Neal Jones. He is excellent at explaining what is needed, then doing that work exactly, with no surprise fees, hidden charges, or anything unsavory. The difference in my home is tremendous. Cooling on a 100+ F day would take most of the evening into the night, before... and now it only takes two hours. My thermostat went from running ALL the time, to keep up... to keeping it at 74 F on a 102 day, without running all the time. I don't put this kinda thing in reviews, typically, but I would 100% recommend his company to friends and family.

READ THIS BEFORE YOU PICK A PROVIDER. I got multiple bids to have the work done. In the case of Affordable Radient Barrier (ARB), they were the only ones where the owner himself (Neal) actually comes out and is present the entire installation process. He spent more time assessing and measuring than anyone else. In fact he actually found deficiencies in the construction and the HVAC system of the home (that no one else saw) and he provided solutions that went above and beyond just installing a radient barrier. Be careful of what materials you get because there is a significant difference in quality of materials. Some of the bids had 30% ranges in price based on thickness of foil and blown in insulation. ARB Uses the thickest foil in their demonstration and then actually use that in the instal. They blew in more insulation than the others offered. And no monkey business later as I was a very careful observer during instal. We have a fairly large home but 4 distinct attic spaces. It took the three of them two full days to complete the work. And Neal was there the entire time side by side with his workers. From all I learned over the one month of bidding process, attics need two things. Insulation AND ventilation. Both were sub par in my home. The price was by far the best and yet it included more than the other bids. Besides the foil we had 9” of insulation blown in and a thermostatically controlled high output exhaust fan installed at the peak. NOT a solar fan that everyone else estimated at crazy prices. But their work went above and beyond. They installed 14 soffit vents in crucial areas that the builder had missed. The attic was basically starved for fresh air. They resealed all the duct work with both tape and mud. They sealed all leaks on the air exchangers. They installed 2 attic tents at less than the cost of one from the other companies. They even installed multiple rodent baits to make sure if those critters ever get back in (old problem) they will enjoy a Last Supper. And the end result? Our two ac units now make temp and go off in the afternoons, even at 95 degrees outside. You can walk into our two walk-in attics without needing a towel in 60 seconds. The house is waaay more comfortable and we actually raised the thermostats 3 degrees and it feels cooler than before. I can’t wait to see my first electric bill. Do yourself a favor and save a lot of time and phone calls (and $$$). Just hire ARB. I saved big bucks and got the best job I could have ever hoped for. And I didn’t even list all the extras Neal did for us because I don’t want to set expectations higher than you should expect. Just say that by the time you’re done you might feel like I did and actually tipped his crew. Amazing - professional - hard workers.

As an owner of a 35 year old house (built in 1986 before they built them as tight as they do today), my AC was constantly fighting the Texas heat. Since I was doing a complete remodel, new AC and insulation/radiant barrier was at the top of my checklist. I called Affordable Radiant Barrier and Neal (the owner) came out and spent 30 minutes completely inspected my attic and then proceeded to outline a plan to keep my house cool in the summer and warm in the winter. Neal came in with the lowest bid and swiftly installed radiant barrier, insulation, attic fan and a attic ladder tent. I'm looking forward to the energy savings and more importantly not sweating all summer. I highly recommend Neal and his team for your insulation/radiant barrier needs.

Had a great experience with Neal and I was hopeful that the radiant barrier would make a difference but as with everything you never know. It has been in for a month. I used 400 fewer kWh to cool my house than June of last year and I am keeping it 1-2 degrees cooler than I did last year. It is really noticeable in the mornings when my house naturally stays cooler much longer and my AC does not even kick on till the afternoon. I liked working with Neal he was very straight forward and called out everything he found. There was no pressure. Took them less than a day to put it in my house and replace the attic fan. I am looking forward to seeing the savings all summer and keeping my house naturally cooler.
