Happy to be working with this locally owned company. Highly recommend Nelson Construction. Yokasta helped us from the beginning of the project and through the entire process of the design itself. She was very responsive. Helped us design for an elderly family member keeping safety and health in mind. We are now moving ahead with the construction phase. Communication with the ownership and team is #1.

Chuck Hammons is a true asset for Nelson Construction. Recently had an issue with the electrical and our insurance company which he handled immediately. Also had in issue with a drawer that he came over immediately to fix!! Thank you Chuck for all you do!!!

I had the pleasure of working with Nelson Construction's in house designer, Yokasta. She was absolutely amazing. She was able to take what I needed and create the perfect space for our growing family (think large addition to home, multiple beds and baths) she worked tirelessly to meet my ideal square footage while keeping an eye on overall costs and maintaining amazing anesthetics. We had a few overhauls and I asked for multiple tweaks during the final design process and she was incredibly diligent and polite in meeting my every request. I am so thrilled with the final design that Yokasta Gonzalez produced. She is a true create genius and I feel so fortunate to be working with her firm.

We reached out to Nelson Construction and Renovations, Inc. to inquire about a new construction project. Unfortunately, we were not in their service area, but Chris, the office manager, was incredibly helpful in answering all of our questions. He even provided us with tips on how to find a reputable builder in our area. He went out of his way to help us and answer our questions about how the typical building process works even though he knew they would not be building our home for us. He even offered to provide guidance should any questions arise in the future. We were incredibly impressed with his professionalism and willingness to go above and beyond. We are so bummed we are not in their service area. This would have been a great company to work with.

We selected Nelson Construction for our remodel project and I can’t say enough great things about their staff. From the permit approval process, that Sean seamlessly navigated us through, until the end of the project their level of communication and customer service was off the charts. When you go through a remodel on a house built in 1955 you need to prepare for and expect the unexpected. Nelson worked with us to ensure that any issues that did arise were handled swiftly and accurately and most importantly-within our budget. Our Project Managers Steve and David were simply amazing guys to work with. They both went the extra mile to ensure things were done right and we were taken care of. I’d highly recommend this company and their awesome staff!

I still have a long way to go but so far, it has been a pleasure working with Nelson Construction & Renovations and his team.

This review is specific for JESUS CEDENA - the current site supervisor on my daughter's addition to their family home (3 beds, 2 baths, playroom). JESUS has worked tirelessly to have the project run smoothly and is not only professional, but a sincerely kind person to be around and have working in and around your home. He has gone above and beyond to help and we really appreciate his services! He is the best!

My wife and I chose Nelson Construction to remodel our home. Our remodel included an updated kitchen with custom cabinetry, reconfigured and updated laundry room, updated master bathroom... as well as some new flooring and trim work throughout. We are very pleased with the end result!

The custom work by Nelson's in-house cabinet / work shop was high quality... from our slate blue cabinets to our barnwood floors to our custom beams in the ceiling. Marcus oversaw / project managed the work, and did a great job. He followed-up and addressed any questions or issues we had throughout the process.

This is an addendum to the previous review I submitted from several months ago. I realized that I forgot to call out one of the stars of the project, Gabor Turi. Gabor built and installed all of the cabinets in the kitchen and 4 bathrooms and we couldn’t be happier with the results. We have been living with his work for several months now and the quality of the materials used, the craftsmanship of the build, and the fit and finish is spot on. Something that doesn’t show up in the box score is the “sense of calm” that feels tangible on the days he is working at the job site. This is a cliche, but it is one of the occasions where 5 stars is not enough.
Also, I had some damage from the hurricanes last Fall and although the project was something that Nelson Construction perhaps would not take on under normal circumstances they very quickly jumped in to help me out and did another stellar job. Once again I am completely satisfied with the results and was lucky enough to have Jesus Cedeno supervising the job and he once again came through at least 5 stars.

The Nelson Construction crew has now worked in 2 major projects for me. One residential and one commercial. After several bad experiences with previous contractors we have been very pleased with their hardwork, vision and professionalism. Greg Nelson took on the projects and worked hard at executing my vision while adding his own vision until the projects were fully executed beyond my expectations. I was assigned Nicole as a project manager at my commercial and she has been beyond amazing taking responsibility for the project and going beyond her responsibilities to ensure the project was completed on time and to our expectations. If you’re looking for a professional company that knows how to get the job done from top to bottom, I highly recommend Nelson Construction.

Jesus is probably the best general contractor out here the dude is on top of plans and quick with responses! 10/10 you want him on site!!! I’m an electrician with dim and dimmer and I find relief when I find out, he is the general contractor!

Site supervisor JESUS CEDENO deserves a great review! We contracted with Nelson Construction to update our home with a new kitchen, bath, plumbing, ac, and windows for a year-long project. JESUS CEDENO was our on-site supervisor and he took great care to make sure we were happy with the work throughout the entire process. Jesus responded to our calls promptly, and worked with us to assure that the work met the quality standards we wanted.

This is my second review. And here's why: Nelson Construction did an amazing job on renovating our family's home in Dunedin, Florida. It needed significant repair. I was on a fixed budget and we developed a game plan with clear expectations. A week or so ago, a major hurricane hit the neighborhood. It was all over the news. People were out of their homes and everything has been destroyed--on our very street. Thanks to the work done by Nelson, including the repairs on the walls, the quality construction, windows, framing, and roof work, our home is in 100% excellent condition and was not destroyed. There was not a drop of water in the house and that's not the case for our neighbors. It's just incredible to see the results of this work in this very difficult situation. I'd trust Nelson EVERY single time given what just happened. We truly appreciate the staff, especially Jesus. Let me tell you: Jesus is the most responsive, helpful, and responsible worker. He communicates with ease, is helpful even after the project concludes, and has the upmost integrity. Jesus was so thorough and every piece mattered when the hurricane hit--from landscape to roofing to the implementation of the design. I trust Jesus and the entire team at Nelson. Thank you for saving our family's home and for the work you've done for us. We appreciate the ownership and leadership team at Nelson. Thanks!

The entire Nelson team has been customer-focused from the onset of our large renovation project. Quality and craftsmanship has been top notch. Whenever there were issues with a sub, they were quickly remedied. Jesus regularly suggested additional value-added ideas and often went above and beyond the call of duty in his project management and oversight work. I would recommend Nelson Construction and Renovation without any reservations whatsoever.
