What locals say about Septic System in Stuart

At first, it was easy to book appointment online. Although, come the day of the appointment, I had to call twice to find out if they were coming. First call, they were not sure and dispatch would call me. 4 hours later, no call. So I called again, I was informed we are on schedule and I would receive a text. I received a text 30 minutes before the got to the house. I was quoted $483.00 to pump. The technician said them I would be charged a dig fee. Then they informed me they had to pressure clean. Total cost $804. Very deceiving. Not great customer service. Would not use again.

We purchased a home originally build in 1974. After a remodeling job, my husband (a custom home builder in Massachusetts for over 45 years) decided to have the septic pumped. It had not been touched in decades. Cooker’s came highly recommended and came out and promptly took care of the system. They did everything they said they would and gave us a very accurate estimate. They were great to work with and extremely reliable. Byron Jackson, the technician, was great. We highly recommend them!

Absolutely terrible service. Called on Monday 3/3/25 for a routine septic pumping of 2 separate systems on the property (Not backing up, just routine pumping of septic to prevent issues) Spoke to Lexi over the phone and she booked my appointment and even added in the notes that I wanted to be home for the service and I was requesting whatever day had a morning appointment. She booked my appointment for Wednesday am and said they would confirm the appointment the night before which they did. Wednesday morning came and truck showed up at 9am. I walked out front to speak with the driver, Kerly, and he was nice enough to tell me the office had instructed him to leave my home and go somewhere else even though he didn't do anything there. (Making the customer feel that someone is more important and wasting their time makes for an awful customer experience) Kerly told me that another driver would come over to pump my septic and should be arriving soon. 3 hours later I called the office and they told me that I was in pending status and not scheduled so he didn't know what time I would be taken care of. Being that I waited home from work all morning I rescheduled it for Monday 3/10 for another morning appointment. They did give me $75 off to reschedule due the the inconvenience. Monday morning came and went without any text / email message confirming I had any appointment. I called again around noon and was told once again there were errors and she would reach out requesting answers. I cancelled my appointment and have been recommended by a neighbor to use another company which I will. Cooke's used to be a great company, however I see that because of their growth they have changed. I will no longer be using or recommending them. Save your time, use another company!

2 years ago we called cooks out to pump our tank. During the visit the gentleman said that we needed a new pump. Conveniently their supplier was closed and we were going to have to wait up to 2 weeks to receive a pump. The gentleman said that he can go to Home Depot and buy one from them and it will be under warranty but it will be more expensive if we went this route. Being an emergency and 2 units hooked up to the septic we had to take that offer. Not even 6 months later the bubbling started in our toilet, we can’t do laundry on days it rains. We didn’t find out til a month ago that the pump flipped the breaker causing it not to work. The pump is JUNK and the wiring wasn’t done correctly thus causing the breaker to flip. That’s what the new company has told us. Anyway, when we called cooks to ask them to come out explaining our situation they said it would take a few days, once we called them to ask about the warranty they said they would call us back. This is UNACCEPTABLE professional behavior! It has been 2 weeks and we still have not received a call back. We ended up having to call another company because we have children in both units and running water/ septic is a NECESSITY. Now we have to replace another pump and have it pumped for the 3rd time this month. I HIGHLY DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY unless you want to waste thousands of dollars.
