They will not give you a window of time for appointment and in my case, just won’t show up. Even after checking in with office.

Efficient and thorough. More expensive than some, but worth the highly professional work and good communication skills.

As usual, we had great service from North Shore. Our electrician, Mike, was friendly and efficient.

I had to inspect electric work installed by the shop. The work was best craftsmanship I have seen in years.

Great company! We had them do a couple jobs for us and they really so outstanding work! Prices are reasonable and the people are great to work with. We will be using them again!!!

They did everything I asked. I upgraded from 60 amps to 100, They did everything to code. The electrician did not try to convince me to do more than I wanted as far as upgrades. It has been over a year and everything works great, not a single blown fuse.

Incredible service from start to finish. Communication regarding services offered as well as scheduling was excellent. The technician was professional, knowledgeable and efficient. Highly recommend.

Excellent service and reasonable fees. Office staff worked with me to find the right LED fluorescent tubes and allowed me to supply my choice. The electrician arrived promptly per the scheduled time frame. He was knowledgeable and worked quickly, accurately and efficiently. The fees were quoted up front, and there were no surprises. One ceiling can fixture needed a trim installed. Instead of North Shore ordering it and having the electrician return, they recommended that I order it online and install it myself, as it was a simple job. Highly recommended.

I had a very large job involving a lot of electrical components which basically consisted of all new service from the utility pole to my house and dropping the overhead components underground (new lines, new meter, new conduit, new electrical panels). I had a lot of different bids and guidance from various electricians on the project, but chose North Shore because they sounded the most reasonable and their bid was not too high nor too low (pro tip: low bids make me suspicious - you do get what you pay for typically). My experience with them is that they were responsive, prompt, the crew knew that came was friendly and knew what they were doing and it went fast without any issues. After the job I had an issue where my generator didn't appear to be working and even though that wasn't really their problem, since it had worked the last time they were on site they offered to take a look when they were in the area which I also really appreciated, so my take is that they will likely stand by their work over the long-term, too. I'd use them again for any electrical work.

We hired North Shore Electric to design and install a gutter and downspout de-icing system. Despite the system being powered on, the downspouts freeze solid, water backs up, and ice pools at the base—creating a serious safety hazard. We raised this issue last winter and again this year, and each time our concerns were dismissed, with blame placed on us despite the system being turned on well in advance of freezing conditions. We are now being told that their 10-year “warranty” only covers the cable itself, not evaluating whether the system is functioning properly or was correctly designed. In other words, if the system fails to do its basic job, we still have to pay them just to tell us why.
What is the point of a warranty if the company refuses to stand behind system performance or take responsibility for obvious design failures? Between the unsafe conditions, refusal to investigate without charging high fees, and repeated deflection, this experience has been extremely disappointing. We would not recommend this company. It’s clear that once they receive their nearly $5,000 payment, customer support ends.

I’ve been to plenty of supply houses, but this one stands out. Clean, organized, and run by people who actually care about your projects and success.

I came in with a long list and they had every item available. It’s rare to find a supply store this well stocked.

The staff has great product knowledge and can explain the differences between items in detail. That kind of expertise is invaluable.
