We just had Earth Ideas completely revamp our backyard landscaping and install beds between our house and the house next door, all lined with landscaping rocks. This job involved removing numerous large shrubs, including several large cacti, building up the beds, planting eight 45+ gallon trees and 15 shrubs. It also involved digging up grass along the side of the house and putting in built-up beds, moving some irrigation heads, repairing some of the heads, and installing one whole new zone to be sure all our new plants and beds are properly watered. But the best part is that they removed a fairly large pergola from our patio to a corner of the yard where it looks great. We're going to put a swing on it. That was a big job. Mike was great to work with and made several great suggestions. His crew is the best. They worked so hard and were all so pleasant. They did a few extra things like planting a few plants we had in pots in the new beds. They know what they are doing. They cleaned up everything so nicely when they finished and even washed the street down where the mulch and soil had been dumped upon delivery. We will definitely contact them first with all our future landscaping needs. Our yard looks amazing.
Updated 14 July 2020 - After the first review, I was contacted by Brian who offered to fix the problem. We came to an agreement shortly after the review was written, but because of issues beyond his control, the repairs were delayed. Communication was much better, and Brian made every effort to make sure that I was pleased with their service. First Review: Earth Ideas just finished their second project with me. They did a great job on the backyard last year and the drainage was great. I contacted them to put a border around my bed in the front yard. It looked nice enough at first, but the very next day after it was installed, the corner had been knocked over. I contacted them and talked to Mike. I explained the problem and the concern that it would happen again--and it has, at least twice since the first contact-- I asked if it could be secured somehow, and he said it could be done. He promised to get back to me. I have contacted them more than once, which shows how little they value my business as customer. Still waiting. I am tired of picking up the corner of my "new" border. I would go with another company that actually responds to my concerns and calls me back in a reasonable time if I had it to do over again.
We had some flooding in our yard over the holidays, Michael responded immediately and came out and saved the day for us. They did a great job clearing out ourfFrench drains and completely fixed our drainage problem. We also used them to clean our gutters and put strainers in our downspouts. It's amazing how much better the yard drains now and the pricing was very reasonable. We highly recommend earth ideas for any drainage issues you may have.
Terrific work! These guys know what they are doing. I asked Mike to help me with some drainage concerns I had with my new home, and to devise no-maintenance landscaping suggestions for the front of my home. The crew was professional, did everything they were supposed to do, and left my property clean and looking great. They took care of my home as if it were there own. A great job, easy to work with, and very professional organization. I can't say enough about this firm!
We're still in the installation phase of my project but I have been impressed by Mike of Earth ideas. He is an excellent listener. He asked questions when necessary. He understood what I was saying and I have all confidence that this project is going to end very successfully. I am impressed by the crew that is installing our drains, they are hardworking and appear to be very conscientious.
This is my first time using Earth Ideas, and it has been a good experience. I had 3 quotes for drainage work, and Mike seemed to understand most about what would be needed for my yard. He sent out enough people to finish a 3 day job in one day. They installed 8 drains in my backyard! I'm looking forward to a heavy rain!
