Jenn Air uses ASI appliance company for repairs on home appliances. I was extremely disappointed with the service provider (John) ... He started with attempting to pull the dishwasher out of the cabinet before removing the screws which secure it. My husband informed him that the dishwasher is attached with screws and they needed to be removed. John proceeded to remove the screws.....Next, he pulled/jerked on the door handle to slide out dishwasher after removing the screws. He fixed the broken door hinges ( which was the original problem) and put the dishwasher back under cabinet attaching the screws. However, the dishwasher was noticeably uneven and I asked the contractor to try and make it level. Once again, he pulled on the appliance attempting to straighten with the screws attached to cabinet. The solid red oak cabinet frame now has cracks on both sides. He stated the it was the uneven floor causing the problem even though it wasn't like that before. In addition, he's seemed in a hurry and stated its company policy for home owners to remove appliances themselves. My husband and I both believe that is a ridiculous company policy. Never use this company with or without a warranty.
Our Whirlpool washing machine stopped working due to a manufacturer's defect. ASI was contracted to make the repair when Whirlpool sent them the part, which was backordered. In the meantime, an appliance repairman whom we now regularly use because of his promptness, kindness, and knowledge, showed us a workaround until the machine was fixed. When the part was finally sent to ASI and a repairman was sent out, he was in and out so quickly according to my wife (I wasn't home). He never tested the machine to make sure it was working properly, and the workaround we were shown was no longer working, either. We called ASI, and after explaining that the repair was done incorrectly, the person said it would be about another week until the company could get someone out to fix it. We didn't want to wait that long and called our reliable appliance repairman. He came out the next day, ridiculed the lack of knowledge of the ASI repairman, and had the washing machine working in less than an hour. Sure we had to pay him when this whole process should have been free under warranty, but it was worth it in the end. I will never use ASI whatsoever.
I would like to give Mr. Jerrell Wilkes: the highest recommendation for servicing, professionalism, and timeliness. Explicit instructions was given and the execution of repairs was completed effortlessly. Great job.
Do not recommend. DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE PROVIDER. They will drag you through a prolonged waiting process and send people at different times, allegedly order parts that take weeks to arrive, and promise to fix your applicance and in the end, show up at your home AGAIN and proceed to make more excuses and REFUSE to service you. Whirlpool sends them on behalf of a warranty and have done absolutely zero fixing in the whole month I've been in contact with them. So unprofessional.
My guys name was Martin. Took forever to get scheduled, because they call you the day of and expect you to take off of work waiting to see what time they come. I had to have my property manager let him in and be with him because he didn’t feel comfortable being alone with the fridge, which I understand for liability purposes. When he finally came, he was extremely rude to her. He just seemed irritated that he had to be there and was in a hurry. She wanted to call me so he can talk to me and tell me what’s going on and he says “No, if that’s the case I’d call him when I get the chance. You’re acting as the homeowner.” She then wanted to record what was going on to let me know and he says “You see, no I’m not trying to get recorded. You’re acting as the primary homeowner. I don’t need to talk to him, I’m talking to you.” Okay so if she’s acting like the “homeowner”, then she can record whatever she wants in “her” house. Terrible experience. He also said I shouldn’t have messed with the freezer. Well, if it didn’t take 3 weeks to get you in here, I wouldn’t have done that.
Tech did a good job and washer was left working. I just wished my washer had been fixed faster but I know some parts were difficult to get. The price i paid was through a plan and includes labor and all new parts. I did not paid ASI Appliance directly, they were paid by plan extended plan i got through my washer manufacturer - Whirlpool. AJC Update 12-30-25: They came back out when my washer started acting up again and determined it was the main "board" that was messed up and needed replacement due to not communicating correctly. They ordered the part that arrived within a week and came back out at AT MY CONVENIENCE" which was great and fixed it. This time around it was quick and fast. So far washer working correctly but will tested it better once larger loads need to be washed. AJC
