We reside in Maryville, Illinois, and after the devastating hail damage that occurred in 2017 Dwayne White was driving around the neighboring soliciting business. He was very professional, stated that he worked for insurance companies in the past and understood how they functioned. We were the first in our neighborhood to get an estimate with Dwayne and Midwest Exteriors and the VERY LAST by months and months to get our new roof, windows, and etc. Dwayne did not inform us that none of the work would be done by himself but by associates, one such person was named Craig (LNU). I will just say this, Craig had shady written all over him and I dont use that word lightly! Craig took months to come to the home to assess the damages and when he did he had numerous excuses as to his delay. Craig stated that the insurance company did not approve to pay for all of the hail damage to to the roof and after contacting the insurance company they informed my wife and I that Craig and no one else from Midwest Exteriors ever contacted them. I repeatedly left Dwayne messages regarding the delay and my dissatisfaction with Craig and each time he noted that he would look into it while nothing changed. When construction finally began Craig repeatedly stated that insurance was only covering a certain portion and requested that we pay a portion out of pocket. We informed him that we need to see an invoice and would be contacting our insurance company. The entire time I am calling/texting Dwayne to let him know that something is not right and I am not satisfied with the delay. After the work was finally completed, Craig tried once again to have my wife and I pay a certain portion of the costs which we informed him we would not. After the work was completed, equipment and nails were left everywhere in which I had to clean up. I am assuming that the roof is better than the previous but I wouldn't know as I haven't gotten on top of the roof to check. As far as the windows and window well covers there is no doubt in my mind that Craig and Midwest Exteriors used a far cheaper product than what we had cheaper. The window wells have already cracked and the version we had previously was on there for 5 years and looked new. As far as the windows, they fog up each time it rains. In addition to the above-noted mess about a month after the work was completed Dwayne calls my wife and states that Craig and another one of his associates were involved in fraud and ripping him off. Dwayne did not go into much detail but noted that he planned on getting the authorities involved. My wife asked Dwayne to supply us with an invoice and he stated that he would mail it. That invoice has never came and I have called and email Dwayne at least 5x since then regarding the invoice and we have never received it.
Bought a house and found it came with a number of leaks. Jeff and Dave came and knocked out a couple of the leaks as well as fixing some shoddy work from a previous roofer. Had one last recurring leak that would only leak “sometimes”. Dwayne would call anytime we had a storm to see if it leaked and rushed over to look on a number of occasions…all at no cost to me. After one pretty lengthy trip over, he was able to find a small nail hole that was the culprit! After fixing that, I also asked him to replace my ridge vents. All the work was exceptionally done and his prices were great! Throughout the process, Dwayne would take the time to go onto my roof with me and show me where work was needed and the work they did. Without a doubt, if I ever have any roof repairs or a roof replacement, I’ll be reaching out to Dwayne and his team to do the work!
They delivered 1 load of dirt and 2 loads of rock as agreed upon. They did a great job!
