BAKO was recommended by our architect for their attention to detail and high-quality finished projects. We could not be more pleased with the result from our basement renovation. It was a big project for a small 100+ year old home. BAKO managed all permits and inspections with our village and the final project passed all inspections. BAKO dug down our unfinished basement (approx. 2 feet) and finished the 700 square foot space with heated floors, steel beams, kitchen, bathroom, laundry, and updated/upgraded utilities. The project included foundation work, water-main replacement, new plumbing and electric, tank-less water heater, modern boiler (we love our radiators) and zoning/thermostats for each floor, mini-split air conditioning, sump-pump, bulk-head exterior door and concrete steps, heated floors, insulation, framing and modern finishes. The tile work and carpentry finishes exceeded our expectations as the result is a clean, modern, and functional living space-it truly was an incredible transformation. During construction, the area was dustpan cleaned at the end of each day and demolition refuse was removed from the site at the end of each workday. Bart and his team of contractors and subcontractors were incredibly respectful and detail oriented. Bart was always available to communicate (in person, on the phone, via text and email) and guide us on various aspects of the project and was able to prioritize our needs given that we lived in the home during the construction (which we know is not ideal for either party). When we are ready for the next phase of renovations on our home, we will be calling BAKO. If you are looking for a trustworthy contractor, quality work and professionalism, you can not go wrong with hiring BAKO, the finished project will be fantastic!
