Had Pin Oak come out and take care of a tree that fell through some property lines and unfortunately hit my neighbor's house. Their work is quick and extremely high quality--Joey and his wife treat their customers truly like family. Had them return to remove another tree in my front yard and it was done thoroughly and cleanly. Highly recommend Pin Oak for your arborist needs in Fairfax County!
Joey and the Pin Oak team provided excellent service. Joey was incredibly knowledgeable about what would be best for the many trees around our home and the results were as expected. Horrible People who run a horrible company. Work and interaction happened in December, 2023. The proposal / contract that they supply is only applicable to their customer, not to themselves. They were supposed to complete 3 items on our "proposal": 1 - Trim a pin oak tree - done with no issue 2 - Trim the backyard trees - partially done and when I told them they didn't complete per the contract, they said they did. I showed them that trees in my backyard weren't done, they said the trees weren't in my backyard, I showed them that they were in my back yard, they told me I was wrong and they weren't in my backyard, which I again, showed them they were in my back yard and were on my woodline - nope, you, mr customer are wrong, you want those trees done, it'll cost you more. 3 - prune a holly on the side of my house 4 months later (in March, 2024) - not done and work cancelled. Per their contract / proposal, PAYMENT: Payment is due upon completion of the Scope of Work. Payment is accepted in cash or checks made out to Pin Oak Tree Services, only. See below for fees applied to unpaid accounts. As mentioned, they did 2 of the 3 items in the scope of the contract, yet they invoiced me after their initial partial work in December . When I told them that they didn't complete the requested items, they told me they did, I said they didn't... they said they did... so, after this round and round, I decided to cancel the March interaction with them... and, then, they decided to increase the initial illegal invoice so they could be paid for "work completed"... which wasn't complete and didn't comply with the signed proposal / contract - as they said they did extra (unapproved) work for which they were going to collect after they completed the holly. They then told me that if I didn't pay, they'd be tacking on 12% late fees... which they would add on if I disputed the issue... the legal actions on this are still pending.
