We called Joshua when our hot water heater stopped working unexpectedly without any error codes or indication of what was wrong. Joshua figured out the problem, contacted the manufacturer for the parts that were still under warranty and fixed the problem completely. He was super friendly, honest, and very easy to schedule and work with! We’ll definitely use him again for any other plumbing needs.
We used Josh for two services: 1. a gas leak behind our gas dryer, and 2. a sewer pipe repair. On both occasions, which were emergency issues due to actively leaking gas and leaking sewer water, Josh showed up immediately to help diagnose the issues and quickly outline a plan to repair them. For the gas leak, he explained exactly what the issue was, showed us the problems, repaired it, and gave us a ton of advice for how to identify future gas leaks. For the sewer pipe repair, a piece of the sewer pipe that runs inside of our house was cracked and actively leaking. He identified the issue right away, removed about 7 feet of a cracked sewer pipe, and installed a new sewer pipe in the area. He even gave us advice for fixing the drywall that had to be removed to get to the pipe. Overall, he provided a wealth of information to us that I don't think we would have gotten from any other plumber. Highly recommend Josh for any plumbing or gas fitting issues you may have.
We used Josh for installation of our hot water heater and I have to say he did a great job. Very meticulous and very concerned about the details in his work. He came out on a Sunday and worked all day because we had gotten home from vacation to a wet basement. There was a defective pilot after he installed the 325 lb water heater. He started the claim with the company and the part was at my house 2 days later and he came out and installed it as soon as it got here. He is a top notch, professional plumber who went above and beyond! I would highly recommend Josh and will use him in the future!!!
Josh came out and said that he didn't know what the problem was but would charge me $975 for the first 2.5 hours and then $300/hour after. He saw someone in a desperate situation and tried to take advantage. 2 stars for showing up when he said that he would. Edited to add: After writing this review, this guy wrote a bad review on my business page about my plumbing problem and my office smelling like sewage. Michael and Sons is currently in the building taking care of it. He also remarked about us not having a licensed physician which we do. I feel unsafe with this unhinged guy. I would stay far away. You do not want this guy in your house or around your family.
I'm fairly handy, I've replaced sinks, toilets, shower heads, and drains, unglogged drains, re-pipped PVC, etc.... However, having said that sometimes I don't have the right tools or the learning curve is too steep for the time I have so I'll go to a professional. I've used Mint twice, for the install of a new reverse osmosis filtering system and for a new kitchen faucet install to solve some corrosion problems on the existing plumbing. Tech arrived ahead of time in both instances and completed job way faster than I could have at competitive rates. Would highly recommend and will use again.
On Saturday morning, in the midst of an emergency due to a burst pipe overnight, I contacted Josh. He didn't hesitate, immediately getting out of bed to come to my aid. He quickly turned off the central water and opened all the closed drains, effectively preventing any further water damage. Josh was a true lifesaver.
